Daniel Naroditsky recently released a course on the Jobava London where White begins the game with 1.d4, then puts his knight on c3 and bishop on f4. This course was created alongside GM Olexandr Bortnyk. You can get it from here: danielnarodits...
IM Sagar Shah learns the basics of this opening from Daniel Naroditsky and this can be an introduction if you are interested to start playing this opening.

Question for Daniel: If black wants to play for a draw after 1d4 Nf6 2Nc3 d5 3Bf4 Nh5, do you suggest 4 Be5 f6 5Bg3? If so, I'd like to see an example of the strategy black would use going forward. Thank you

Probably about half the games I've tried with the Jobava I've faced 3....a3. It prevents Nb5 for White and doesn't cause Black any of the problems that are discussed in this video. (in fact, it's not dealt with at all.) If I'm facing it, I have a hard time believing that other players aren't facing it as well. Does the course touch on this line at all? Or is there just some obvious refutation for White that I'm missing?

Interesting video, but after 15 minutes I gave up because the move 3…c5 is not covered after BF4. If white plays.Nb5 now s/he is lost because black replies Qa5+, the knight must retreat and black plays cxd4 (-3). White must play e3 after which black can play anything from the conservative a6 to the aggressive cxd. By the way, stockfish 15 rates this the number one move at Depth 45.

After normal opening 1. d4 d5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Bf4... what if black goes instantly to a6? This is what I've been doing as black and I haven't been punished badly yet, am I missing something or doesn't that take the sting out of the early attack by White? Usually continuation seems to be e3, e6 and feels even to me, but would love feedback from very high rated players.
