I love wagons, and how honest you are with attempting to spend as little as possible. The longer videos are great and the editor is truly a master at picking great content with audio levels everyone can understand. You do not pretend to be Chip Foose or Boyd Coddington you are a family man just trying to make in this world, and try to have a ton of fun along the way. When your whole family gets involved, and pitches in to make something always unique and fun together that makes these vehicles even better and more fun to watch. It takes a lot of guts to do this full time and bet on yourself; I am damn proud of you and support you as I can. You always are able to adapt to any situation, improvise a solution when necessary, and overcome any obstacle in your path. Great video, I am looking forward to the series. Thanks!

Nice longer video - well worth the Low-Buck Club admission! TIP: Soaking bucket for smokers - use kerosene with your cleaner. You'll use less cleaner, you won't go 'BOOM', and you can use it practically forever (let it setle, salvage kerosene by coffee filters, add more cleaner, top off with more kerosene and off ya go).
@nutgone100

"Word", like the cool kids said in the '90's... I've got kerosene over 30 years old. Smells a little off - gawd knows what stuff it's collected over the years - but still cleans parts. Diesel is my favorite cleaner now though; impossible to flash off (in my experience), available everywhere, fairly cheap (even after FJB) and leaves a nice kinda WD40-like coating on your metal stuffs to protect from rust.
@jimrky6062
@jimrky6062 12 дней назад
@@glenns5627 - Or 'Wicked nizzah!' as the cool kids around Boston would say in the late 60's and 70's 😎 (My kero's grodier than your kero ... lol) The coating is the one reason I don't like diesel - aside from the "perfume", but everyone has their likes. I still use motor oil and Assembly lube - more motor oil really (especially seating pistons down - how do these guys do that dry?) but not doing so much anymore but bikes and small engines so, who cares?

You're a hoot as well as a genius. So, here's a fun way to keep the oil filter oil from filling up your armpit. Find something sharp and maybe threaded and shove it in the bottom of the filter. Then drain the oil. When you get back to the filter it will be drained. Keep up the restore multi episodes or don't. Either way I'll keep watching.

I don't know who needs to hear this but concerning heater cores, CLR works great for clearing them. My XJ's was plugged solid. Took it to the local shop and they tried some kind of acid and it didn't work. Me being cheap didn't want to pay $900 for them to install a core. Me, also trying to get out of ripping the dash apart, thought hey, this stuff works on all sorts of things, worse that happens is it doesn't work. Disconnected the heater hoses at the core, attached clear hoses, started filling to upper hose until it wouldn't take anymore. I angled the other hose upwards so I wouldn't lose any CLR if it started breaking the clog. 3 beers later I saw stuff seeping into the other hose. (About an hour) I let it cook for another 2 beers then put the lower hose into a bucket. I blew into the upper hose with a air nozzle (set at about 5 psi) and a big glob of junk came out then the CLR flowed. Rinsed system with hot water, put more CLR in, let it cook overnight. (I was 10 beers in by this point so it was sandwich time) Flushed more crap out the next day, rinsed with hot water, done. Had heat again. So yeah, maybe give Calcium Lime Rust remover a try. Save some $. (I really think adult beverages are key in the process.)

You did not consume a large amount of energy to make into a usable car for a trip to the beach. No mining for rare earth metals, no silicon wafer manufaturing for a infotainment system to run the car, no multi million dollar facility to manufacture a big screen tv for the dash. I’d love the format you’re talking about!! Two to three episode build and then roadtrip! Sign me up! . I just love watching you work. You’ve got a great sense of humor, good timing, and you’re a regular guy. I appreciate that! I’ll be here watching no matter what direction you take.

Build, road trip🤔 Yess! This is an excellent idea! Maybe you could add a few meet n greets along the way. Maybe a surprise visit to some lesser know garages like mine in Oklahoma lol. Thanks for your dedication to the craft my friend.

The fact that you do the majority of your work on your own without a hoist is a credit to you Dalton, thank you for your inspiration and videos! 🍺🍺🔧🚬

Came across your videos not to long ago and love them! Me and my old man are prepping a car for the rustbelt lemons and seeing you and your son working together warms my heart! Best of luck Dalton, I'll shoot a couple self tapers in our 68' Galaxie in your honor.

I enjoy the slower more careful builds! My favorite part of a project to watch is the time after it is pulled out of the weeds, but before it's perfect, working through everything and just making it work again!

I absolutely love your style. People seem to forget that the two cars were both junk. But the will make a functional automobile when combined. Just take ingenuity and sweat.

The "full resto" builds are the best! Surprisingly learn quite a bit

I like the 3 part series- I have something to look forward to watching each week. Also, since this is a 6 out of 10 on the care chart, maybe hit the underside of the car with a few cans of harbor freight truck bed coating. Complete the "frame off" restoration.

Fabrication of what you got to make things work is what it's all about. Do the videos how you want is my opinion, I'm still going to watch them.

Im really looking forward to watching you build this car. I like the idea of a "series" type format. You dont have to do it all the time but sometimes is alright.

You know Dalton likes a car when he splurges for the Kilmer 😅 You know that this was going to be a smooth project because it actually came with working ignition keys 🔑

This is a great project you are building. I hope that you are able to complete this build and have a fun adventure and a safe trip to Galveston Texas Beach. It will be a whole lot of fun watching this. You have a ton of power to play with as well. All you need is to make the wagon as reliable and safe as possible. SEATBELTS! I live in the Philippines and there is not any automotive building here that I have seen. So I look forward to your RU-vid show. Keep is real and Keep it safe. The hardest part will be feeding the beast of a engine that you chose for it!

Love the longer format videos. Especially love seeing a car come from basket case to something cool and one-off.

I really enjoy your grass roots way of getting these old cars back on the road . Most others would've grabbed what good parts there was and sent them to the crusher . I've been watching most of your videos since the first Holey Goat video . Great job on all of them .

Never get tired of watching your channel. Watching the average guy working on cars like me is much more enjoyable than watching the others. Cars don't need to be perfect or trailer queens. They're made to be driven. And I don't know where you found the perfect car loving woman, but I sure would like to have one for myself. Quite thin pickins up here in Minnesota.
