This is extremely similar to the settlers killing off the buffaloes. The Indians used everything from the buffaloes but the settlers only took the fur and some meat; but when people hunt sharks they only take the fins (sometimes).
Meat and chicken is food we can reproduce. We can control it for our needs. This is sort of a life cycle that (if we do it correctly) does not die out. I'm all for this system. But fishing the seas will ultimately leave it empty. How does that work for our survival?? It doesn't. It's stupid to go on doing this. You could call it suicide on a massive scale.
Well that's the utmost egocentric thing I've heard in some time now. We humans are not all-mighty and we do not have the wright to judge over the rest of earth's inhabitants. And if we did, they should stop and be a little smarter than to empty the sea. We depend on it's ecosystem. For one: " it gives us a third of our oxygen". So it might be smart to keep this in balance, or els there won't be much left for us to live on in the end. How does that work for survival??
And even if these so called fishermen are doing there jobs. Thats just fine. But cutting off the shark's fins and dumping it fin-less to die, is just to much for me.
Well I've been thinking about what would be justice ...? I thought maybe amputate some limbs an then throwing them in the sea. And see how that feel for them. ....But that won't change the fact that people do stuff like this. I think this is a simple case of " they can't help them selves for they just do not know....." I think most people don't really know the effect of they're actions. And the rest of us just don't want to know. Well I hope one day we'll get smarter or evolve.
omfg seriously i neve thought i would be affect by this i heard about this type of thing but never watched a shark actually being buthcherd to death .(sorry about the spelling ) im sitting here so pissed of with them men i hope this gets banned its ridiculious people can get away with it .. i meen yea get the shark and then put it out of its pain if you must but to dump it back in the sea with no fins ?? jesus i wanna fuk someone up now thats really pissed me off .. thaks for the video i
Untill then ...one shipwreck more or less ? ...hmm.. I don't know. I think it's the demand for fish that we have to make less or change. We should all try to work for, buy or demand renewable fish sorts. one that won't have collateral damage on other fish sorts. IF POSSIBLE AT ALL offcourse
