Yes! This is what we need. Sadr and his Iraqi supporters have realized that demonstrating and protesting is what you do to voice your discontent in a democracy, not shoot each other in the streets. This shows that even though the Iraqi government isn't making as much progress as we would like. There is a kind of grassroots democracy developing in Iraq.
Depends on how you want to take the statement I suppose. In the general sense, I've been actively involved for 29 years and will cease to be when I'm no longer able to think and communicate. And, I don't believe it'll end with me... In a specific sense it'll be over after the convention.
the Brits and the Yanks have totally underestimated this situation.Sadr has laid low and has has waited for this point because he also knows how impatiant the American people are about this war.. the fact of the matter is the Americans should not have gone in.. the complexity is too much and adding the iranian influence and the weakening american economy.. have now probably caused more damage than good ( that is debatable) Sadr is silently power hungry !
