You mentioned something that no one talks about. The tricky part about going between singles and doubles with heel toe. It’s actually frustrating. Like if you’re doing paradiddle patterns. It maybe easier to just do regular heel up
Thanks man. My computer messed up so the quality isnt as good as usual lol. Also the example holds true because the pedal settings were out to lunch on this thing too. It could have been a bit tighter but the ideas are still valid.
@@pcbw75 hahaha still need to work on multi cam. Once I get my room re setup with the new mixer and dedicated kit it WILL happen. It's more of a "slide" but my foot is not really moving much. In the punk beat it slides more than a regular double. With the settings all wacky I was more just pushing straight down. The first hit is more from the hip flexor and the second is more from the ankle.
Awesome!! I recently got a cheap Alesis kit after only using acoustic for years. What do you use to get such great sound out of these? Is it the samples or the pads?
The cheap Alesis kits aren’t gonna sound good. If you want a good sounding Alesis kit, get the command kit. If you want a good sounding Alesis kit, then that’s the cheapest you’ll find. It’s about 600-700. When it comes to a good sounding cheap kit, get one from the Roland line up. That’s the brand he’s playing. Roland has better sound for cheaper, but Alesis, has better structure , and mesh heads. The only thing that sucks about cheap Roland kits, is they’re pretty small compared to Alesis.
my bet is he's driving it though the computer and a vst drums like superior drummer or addictive drums for the sounds. Any kit could sound amazing this way.
