Great idea to show the riffs with each individual pedal! It's really cool to hear them with different effects than the original showcase. Honestly I loved the riffs just clean with the compressor.
WOW! I always love it when you post something new. Such a joy watching you play. Great pedals and that Kiesel bass looks awesome, too! Will definitely check out Aguilar's latest line up.
The touring with porcupine tree was good for your playing. It was already masterclass before and now you have the next black belt. When guitar players ask me who is actually one of the best bass players than i have to mention Charles and Nate.
Love the bass lines, Nate! With tech being what it is, these pedal effects could just as easily be housed in an "all-in-one" type of stompbox--instead of multiple separate pedals. My Line-6 M5, for example, has all of these effects together in what is arguably a better package--and for not much more money.
Apples and oranges. The "tech" of these style of pedals hasn't changed in decades, and if you want to remain analog, no, you cannot repackage it like that.
Awesome sauce i get a sense of the hot hand hype days. I’m stoked u had an opportunity with Aguilar. They have such an amazing sound it’s great to see you working with so many great companies to help the bass community make educational decisions on possible future purchases.
Great tones man. Love your demos. You have a great ear for this. I hope to be able to feature more cool stuff myself as I grow my profile in the community. Def using these vids as a template.
YO NATE You gotta try playing "Magma - De Futura" on your new Sub-Octave Bass, i think a lot of people will appreciate a kind of video with a few riffs played on this monster! That fuzz part is quite awesome btw, love you including the solo mix!
I have the old TLC. The best compressor ever. I bought it because it didn’t flavour the sound but just did the compressing thing incredibly well. Always stays on. The button has probably only been pressed no more than 40-50 times.
They removed the option to remove batteries and the cases are lighter (and likely cheaper). Kinda sad to see the cost cutting after Korg bought Aguilar. Prices are identical despite less features.
These pedals seem pretty great. I can imagine them selling quite a few of the TLC Comps but I imagine for the chorus or phaser they would have to count units sold in dozens rather then thousands.
The agro sounds really smooth and I never liked phasers on bass but that grape phaser sounds awesome! What are your thoughts on a compressor with a few knobs like the Aguilar vs a compressor with much more controls like on the empress? Do i need all those knobs or is something simple like this Aguilar Compressor pedal all I'll ever need?
Zup my Brotha-O-Bass? Digging on the demo and all your videos for that matter. Question, is your bass and amp both set flat during the clean/dry intro? Great tone by the way - Ha!
Not a fan of fuzz or distortion, already have a solid compressor & pre-amp/DI, but the rest of Aguilar's lineup is permanently on my wish list. These guys are simply the go-to for us bassists
@@NateNavarro than you so much, I’ve been following you for a few years now on RU-vid and just started watching you live in various concerts, and I love the fact you seem such a passionate and animated person when it comes to music and bass in general, but also very humble and you have a very approachable and honest demeanour. I just want to say thank you again for your reply and thank you for being an inspiration to me and other bass players with your infectious energy. All the best from the UK, cheers Mart 🤘
