Glenn Brown is a true professional! One of my favorite pros on the circuit! I really enjoyed the respect you showed him Scott, when he started explaining to you how to fish the square bill! We all know you know how to fish the square bill however you where glued to Glen's directions like you never herd of a crank bait before! outstanding job!!👍👍! Will say one thing, if you was gona lose a SMC, no classier or more humble gentlemen to lose to!!
Man, this place looks like a bass fishing paradise. Being in the northeast, we don't have too many lakes that look quite like this. At least not where I live. It'd be my dream to fish a place like this. The best bass fishing I've ever experienced was when I took a trip to florida a few years ago and got to fish the stick marsh/farm 13 with a relative of mine who lives down there. Good lord was it awesome. I don't know if the conditions were just right, or the timing, or both...but we were constantly doubled up, caught multiple 5 and 6 pounders, and we even caught a tenner. 10lbs, 2 ozs. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Man glenne was an awesome guy so glad I had the privilege to know him and winning his memorial tournament fishing my first tournament ever with my dad Terry is something I will never forget. I swear he was in the boat with us that day 37.21 with 5 fish and culled 30 times throwing back two limits big enough to still win without the 37lb 5 fish. Love to fish with ya one day Scott if you ever make it up to the st John's in palatka.
Both me and my dad watch your videos. Whenever a new video comes out and we see each other we talk about it. I'm in my 30s and got back into fishing this year and it has given me an opportunity to spend more time fishing with him again, like when I was a kid. Keep the videos coming!
hey scott if you are reading this right now, thanks for your time. i have a few questions for you. i live in fort myers and i know there are some giants here, im just having trouble cathcing them. what are some tips and lures i can use to hopefully catch a big one. thanks again - Sincerely, your fan Brandon.
Scott Martin I have been watching not only you on tv and RU-vid . But I have been watching Rolland Martin . You have a awesome channel . Soy u know a good baitcasting combo that is in the range of 160 or cheaper. And can you please subscribe to me I already subscribed to you
SCOTT, That story about your Dad and that Fish he didn't catch was great...I mean what a epic story..... Again thank you for all of your videos.. Keep up the good work
DUDE You Are The man.. These Video's Your Doing Are Just Epic. .. I live 10 miles from Bullard Bar were that 10.5 spotted bass world record was caught.... Anyway again thanks. .
Andy's Fishing Your channel looked good yet unappealing to me. Most of your vids were on the ocean where most people don't live. More people can relate to bass fishing.
41 dislikes?!?! What is wrong with people? This place looks like a fishing paradise. I would die a happy man having been able to rock this place. Great video guys. Love me some Scott Martin. He gets fired up about fishing like he's still a 10 year old boy. Great to see. Inspirational.
Scott man I love the videos! I recently started fishing last summer and your videos have helped tremendously with my learning curve! Nice fish and awesome video!
Didnt know it was possible to win a Scott Martin Challenge if you weren't Scott Martin!! hahaha glad to see someone finally got a win on ya. keep your chin up Scott it was bound to happen an hey you lost to one of the best in the bizz! lmao great vid keep em coming they are entertaining an extremely educational! thanks for sharing your passion with us!
Glen lau is the man!! had the pleasure of giving him a 7 lber for his latest video.. It was caught on the last shiner of the day, which he so kindly provided.
My father in law took me and my wife fishing at Rodman and he got a 10.8lb and the wife got a 8.6lb and me with my little 6.6lb lol great video Mr. Scott #BAM👊🏻🎣
I love your stuff dude, but THE ORIGINAL FLIPPER was a fine gentleman from Fremont CA named Dee Thomas...he invented & perfected the technique on the San Joaquin River Delta in Northern California. But, as I said, love the channel...you keep making them & I'll have keep watching them & learning from them.
We have caught over 20 fish over 10 in Rodman between Sept and Dec 2019 on shiners... If you wanna catch a 10+ all it takes is 10 to 14 inch wild gold shiners + Rodman...
Ive yet to take my boat out to Rodman, but I've fished the shoreline of the Reservoir many times. Ive landed some tanks when the shad are running up an down the shore. its been about 6months since I was last over there. Awesome Video Scott, always was curious what it looked like out there. Great Video Buddy!
Glen Lau is a legend! Saw him out there on a guided trip at Rodman and he told us a funny Story about a time he and ole Roland were with Homer Circle. We gave him a 7 pounder I caught that he was going to use for filming but I guess he never got around to finishing the film or publishing it.
Hey Scott, my buddy and i seen you that day and was fishing right across the canal from yall and i almost fell out of the boat and yall just laughed it off with me and said yall" wouldnt put that in the show" and i told yall "i appreciate it lol"
hey Scott martin. I would just like to thank u for responding to my comment. also if u are ever in south Carolina to please come to Florence and speak with the south Florence bass fishing team.
all this time I thought a fellow by the name of Dee Thomas started the flipping approach to fishing and Gary Klien was his student that really got the whole flipping style into the lime light ...Really Nice Video!
Scott I've seen the past vids you've been posting! I know this was in spring but past vids you've mentioned how good it is to be in Florida during winter... I live in the Northeast and I can promise a 100 fish day striper wise hmu for a awesome show
I live really close to rodman in Crescent city the bass capital! love seeing this videos caught my first bass ever thanks to your tips the other day! would kill for a chance to fish with you man
Hey man, next time you’re out at Rodman let me know! I don’t know if you have ever been here, but Crescent Lake out here in crescent City, Fl has some monster bass. Come check it out
Lake Mulwala is on the south east side of Australia in New South Wales. It's covered with trees, except there isn't very much weed mat covering the surface. Great Murray cod fishery, can't beat fishing in amounst the structure!
Awesome video dude really enjoy watching all them. I'm in Louisiana and mainly on Caddo lake and it's been good lately. What's a key time of year to make a trip to South Florida to Okeechobee?
Man awesome video dude. I really enjoy watched all the videos. I'm in Louisiana and mainly stay on Caddo lake. Caddo has been good been slanting there eyes with the Ole TROKAR. What's a key time of year to make a trip to South Florida to Okeechobee??
Yeah alot of floridians make that mistake always thinking it's a alligator gar when it's usually a Florida spotted gar or a long nose gar. Alligator gar or very scarce in Florida nowadays. U gotta go to Texas or Louisiana for a true alligator gar anymore.
gonna try to make my way out to this river from the St johns tomorrow I noticed on the map it isn't far from welaka right down the road from where I live what kind of baits do you suggest out here? obviously what yall used in the videos but just in general I guess
Yeah there are more bass in the double digit weight size in Central and Northern parts of Florida than South Florida. I lived on Okeechobee for years and I've never caught so many huge 10 plus pound bass anywhere like I have in North Florida. I know some lakes with potential state records in north Florida.
You should come tuna fishing with me and my dad this summer at stellwagen bank it's out of Boston or striper fishing in the harbor we catch giant striped bass
Hey Scott, I am not one to start trouble on comments but, I have noticed on several videos that you or your partner doesn't wear a life jacket. In 1993 I lost a brother due to a freak boating accident where the lower unit hooked a ski rope underneath the surface and caused the boat to take a hard left turn. It threw both of my brothers out of the boat and by the grace of GOD, only one brother died. If I can make one plea, please be an advocate of safe boating. I only believe in using them when you are on plane and I know you are required to wear one in tournaments. Please make it a point to be safe every time you are running. Thanks for your time.
jack moore first of all, you are very decieved. GOD does exist and he is in control. Where do you think we get our date/time system from? It comes from the birth of God's son Jesus being born into this sinful world and dying on the cross for our sins. Hence BC "before Christ" and AD "after death" of Christ. If you are right, I have nothing to lose. But if I am right, you have everything to lose. Nevertheless lifejackets save lives if worn correctly.
John Baird actually, it's BCE (before common era). and AD is anno domini. the 7 day week came from the jews... is that all it took for you to believe in such mythical crap? so you have nothing to lose? it's sad that you're that gullible and so easily scared into believing in "god". so what makes the Christian religion so different and "right" compared to the thousands of other religions worldwide? what's makes yours so special? btw, I didn't search for anything...
That is so incorrect that even you had to search for a comeback. There is only one true GOD and there are many more reasons that I believe. Nothing mythical about it. I bet you celebrated CHRISTmas last week? If so, you are a fake atheist. The reason there are so many religions in the world is that so many people want things to be so that they can live in sin and still believe that they are going to heaven. There is only one true way to Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Please don't be so critical of my and millions of others faith. You will one day face the truth and GOD will judge you just as he will judge me, and I would only pray that you have made things right with him before that day. BTW, this will be my last reply. Have a blessed day and my GOD reveal his truth to you soon. One thing for sure, you can never say that you have not heard the truth.
John Baird man your delusion has taken over. and about the Christmas, no I didn't celebrate it, I just went fishing. Christmas also has almost nothing to do with christians anyway. first of all "jesus" wasn't born in December, not even in the same season. and Christmas was stolen from the pagans, which would celebrate the winter solstice every year in December. basically everyone would get drunk and have fun, but then Constantine convert and turned it into Christmas to make it easier for people to convert. also, in early usa colonies, Christmas used to be illegal because it was "unchristian" becuase of the drunkness, raping, etc that would happen. and your Santa was used by Coca-Cola to make them look less bad after people found out they were putting cocaine in their soda, lol. so even if an atheist celebrates christmas, it doesn't make them fake since the holiday doesn't eve have anything to do with the actual "religion". so you don't even know shit about your own religion, "god" you're stupid.
Hey Scott! I was wondering what your take is on using either straight braid or a braid to floro leader for spinning reels. I'm new to the finesse game and I can't decide if I should just go with straight braid or throw a leader on it. Thanks!
This guy started flipping? 1983 I caught my second biggest bass in Half Moon lake at 12-6 flipping.that was 37 years ago.where was this guy? was he born yet? was he 5 years old?
why did the state draw that lake down??? I'm a old Okie born an raised 53 years an I guess I've never heard of such a thing. I've been out west an northwest of the country where the primary use for the water is drinking an crop irrgationon. but way in Florida?
Keith Kelly That's a myth. Read up a little on bowfin, they have a bad rep because of beliefs such as yours. The only video on my channel is a floodplain that gained global recognition for its biological success. That flood water is managed by The Nature Conservancy and their team of scientists know what they're doing. The lake is entirely loaded with 17" average largemouth, 12" average crappie and monster bluegill. The bowfin in the floodplain are protected because of their beneficial presence in the ecosystem. Bottom line, they are prehistoric fish and have been around a long time, simply regarding them as trash is fine, but it's when I see people rip their stomach open or unhinge their jaw and throw them back like fuckin ignorant morons that pisses me off. This isn't directed towards you, just venting and hopefully clarifying some things.
Scott, awesome video but, when you mentioned the great big fish, fisherman of Rodman you mentioned some greats but, you forgot about the Northflorida angler!!! Tha great C.C. Corey of Palatka Florida !! Check him out on you tube....
I have not been to rodman since I was 7 yrs old. that was in 1977. live in Kentucky now. I've caught a lot of bass when I lived in Florida. wanna catch lots of bass? try interlachen lake estates. a lot of the smaller lakes are drying up or have dried up. but there are still several to choose from. and they're all pretty close to each other. my biggest bass caught was 15 lbs 2 once caught out of violet lake in 1992. I also caught a 9 lbs 12 once off the neighbor's dock. for fun fishing for mostly 5 pounder average it's a great place to fish.
