I was at the lake today. Lowest I have ever seen it. I was just there to shoot my bow. Talked with a guy that bass fishes there often. Say he has only caught one hybrid, but it was nice fish. Nice largemouth your dad caught. Good Video
I have never crappie fished there but during this trip, all of the stake beds were out on the bank. I saw about a 2 lb crappie dead and floating. They must have some big ones.
They have been draining the lake since early spring Twra and bill dance and in calibration to make it a “ bill dance signature lake “ supposed to be doing a lot of work to it! I think that’s why they only put the Florida bass in it this year!
@@midsouthoutdoors7321 yeah I’m serious! Hopefully it’ll be really nice once they are done i haven’t fished there in a long time so we’ll see what it turns out to be!
The water is low because supposedly Bill dance in collaboration with twra are restructuring/stocking the lake and gonna make it way better since everyone complains/it got overfished throughout the years
I just built the house next to it. We haven't fishing there in since the spring, but my son and I were able to catch some big largemouths in the spring. No hybrids.
I wish Glen Springs (TWRA) wasn’t clogged with moss and hydrilla . Unfishable unless you are a bobber guy. 4-20-24. Typically it is ok in the spring. Not this spring, worse than ever.
I actually ran into an older guy there says he has been fishing there since childhood. He says there are record crappie in there 4+ pound. He says back in the 80's it wasn't uncommon to pull three pounders out of there.
