The ditches around town will hold some bass and panfish but it is hit and miss sometimes. Tingley Beach is free to fish and they have bass and panfish. Also Isleta Lakes, but you have to pay to fish there

If you want to stay in town there are a few places to fish. There is Tingley Beach which has trout, bass, catfish and bluegills and is totally free to fish. Also there is Isleta Lakes but you have to pay there. They have the same species as Tingley. Also the ditch on the East side of the Rio Grande River gets stocked pretty often with Trout. There are some good size catfish in the Rio Grande River too. But there are a ton of great places with all kinds of species around the state! 👍 check out the fishing report on NM Game and Fish website

Free? I thought you were supposed to ask for a fish and game fee at Walmarts sporting section or Cabela's or something.🤷

Where is this I know it’s in the Bosque .. I ride bikes down there along the ditch/ creek but this spot is very popular…is it near alameda?

No, park along the ditch that runs on the east side of the Rio Grande off Rio Bravo and walk south for about 10 to 15 min. 👍
