I saw the guy live with Eric Clapton in the 80s in Buenos Aires (Argentina). Of course he had a solo number, and he played a Jaco Pastorius piece. Unforgettable.

The old school pioneering reggae bassists used that similar finger muting technique to get an upright type of dynamic, must learn stuff for us in reggae. Thy alao almost to a man reference building reggae bass lines using a walking blues approach. Awesome stuff !

That warble chorus sound fits to "come as you are", but not for that kind of music. Well, in RU-vid I saw guitarists who play "Thunderstruck" with delay and reverb. Anything is possible it seems....
