Thank you so much! I'm a 15 year old girl, I just started to play bass. I bought my own (Fender Squier). My parents won't believe me, that I want to play bass. So you're actually my teacher at the moment. I really like to play! The easy riffs and your things as how to 'walk'. They help a lot! Thanks :)
Soundism 1337 Fun fact: I’ve been going through and learning how to play some classic nu metal songs here recently. I’m noticing a lot of comments like yours. People just mentioning seeing old comments in “how to play” videos...are we about to see a resurgence of nu metal? To be honest, I’m about to start working on a nu metal project and it seems a lot of may be doing the same based on context clues.
Man, haven't seen one of your instructions in a while. All of these videos are some of the greatest instructions in bass guitar. What I like about these is that so much is shown, that you can basically learn how to learn new riffs and techniques more easily. Always top notch!
dude your awesome i got my bass last christmas but didnt start really trying to learn to play until a couple days ago and since im already a drummer it was easy to preoccupy myself with that rather than learn bass but anyway ur videos helped me learn so many songs already since this thursday, ima keep watching all ur videos, keep up the good work.plus u make the videos interesting with your humor lol
just bought a bass and have been following your lessons for about 3 weeks and ive already got 3 songs down. thanks! think you could do a lesson on face to the floor by chevelle?
Just a quick note: At around the 1 minute mark, dman said about going down to the 7th fret on the D string - that should have been going down to the 9th fret, which is what he played :) Oh, and the Mr Sheen could be bass related - if it's good enough for polishing furniture worth hundreds, if not thousands of pounds, I'm sure it's suitable to give an instrument a bit of a clean :) haha!
hi dman, i learned everything i know from you your the best man thanks for all your lesson's could you please teatch californication by the chillis love that song and wanted to learn it since i seen your under the bridge lesson thanks very much man :-) jay.
I was watching some zakk wylde vid and it was in the suggests and i clicked on it... and i do not play bass so i didnt come here to learn a song or riff... also i wanted to check your bass skills and you are pretty awesome, i mean i enjoy watching the world's fastest guitarist videos even though i think it doesnt sound like music.
@thruthewall Hopefully, yea, but most will compliment the book. In that I go into fingerpicking, playing with three fingers, down stroking and up stroking etc. There will be a video on Monday where we play a bass chord version of a famous song. You may enjoy that :)
@Dmanlamius76 thats cool, look forward to it. Like i said, hope you dont think i was being funny with you. Been a subscriber a long time, and always enjoy your content
I'm curious why you would make a video suggesting that people use three fingers to for the root-5-octave shape? Why wouldn't you use index and then ring...the second finger seems crowded and messy...
If you could do a lesson on Skin by Breaking Benjamin that'd be great. Its a pretty easy song and the band is popular so it may be worth lookin into. :)
