Rookie Drew Gill claimed the lead fairly early in the day and held on tight until the end, winning by a 14-pound margin with 22 bass weighing 58 pounds, 14 ounces.
Bass Pro Tour action will resume on June 25-30 with Stage Six on the James River.

Last year, there was the Cayuga fiasco, and now we have the Chowan Birge Bridge. BPT at every turn shoots itself in the foot!

Zack getting penalized for going under that bridge is crazy, man was grinding catching bass in true river fisherman fashion and nobody told him he was going to catch a penalty.. you can livescope your way to victory but you cant get out your boat to push your boat under a bridge in a creek 😂

I truly believe Chad and JT do their best with what they are given, the current state of bass fishing. Most tourneys they have to dance around the fact that FFS is ruining the viewing experience the entire time. I respect them for trying during these dark times.
