We need to make sure that the voice coil is fixed in its place (not with the magnet) to avoid its movement so that the vibrations get directly transferred to the attached surface.
I am running these bass shakers (tactile-transducers) with a car amplifier as they have a built-in crossover + are super cheap. Keeping the crossover not more than 40hz (for movies) is important otherwise the virations gets distracting.
The volume level during the frequency test in this video is -12db
Bass shaker is not a substitute for subwoofers, subwoofers are important for good sound. They Help subwoofers to create more natural sound (based on my experience).
