Not much of an explanation for this one. Just a comparison of bass singers on a particular note so you can hear side by side who is the fullest/most resonant/loudest/all of the above.

obviously there are many basses that are more resonant and fuller than Geoff but i think what makes him so amazing is that he arranges low notes into his songs so well that it catches you off guard.

Lol it’s a blessing to be 14 years old right now and be able to hit this note it’s about my very lowest but I’ve gotten the lowest range in my choir getting me lots of solo’s!!!

Wow, that's amazing! In choirs I've sung in nobody seems to get a solo unless they have a consistent E4. After many years of wishing I had a slightly higher range for that reason, now I wish I was a little lower so that I could have a solid Bb1 every day instead of C2/B1. I was still recognised as the lowest singer in high school with my decent C#2 though, lol.

Epic. I can get down to G#1 but it's a bit crackled. Though don't want to lose my high notes, to get stronger lows. Lyric Baritone. Not a bass.

It's so surreal and amazing how low people can go tho. And it's weird how many Americans take the title. Here in Estonia I know of like 2 bass singers who can at maximum chest down to a B1. I think of myself as a bass, sing down to D2 with quite some volume with good warmup and lowest morning voice is B1, but hearing voices like this makes me feel like a woman :D Guess we don't just have the genes for it in our genepool.

Interesting because Russian basses are the lowest in the world and I would assume that the 2 community’s would come from the same gene pool. Maybe there are some super low voices in Estonia and you just haven’t heard them yet

@@Marcell0Bass That's not the local history lol. We don't have Russian genes. They came in mass in the last 50 years and they haven't integrated into the local populous.

@@Marcell0Bass I actually talked about that with my music teacher and she said that there are literally handful of people who can go below a low C. I know two or three guys that just get the C2 note and one that can go down to A1, but they're not musicians in that sense. From my school of 500 students, I knew and heared two guys that bottomed out at C2.

@@Marcell0Bass No worries, you're not the first one. As for myself I researched my father's side back to 1500s, back before Swedish rule, and not a single non-Estonian name. In choir I sing in the bass section as my E2 is pretty loud if I haven't strained to voice too much. The choir music is almost never written lower than F2, sometimes E and D aswell but lowest I've seen is a C2. There just aren't voices to fill out some crazy notes. And choir singing is pretty common here so idk.

What do you mean too high for a sub harmonic? I’m trying to learn more about these do you have a good resource on how to learn them? My lowest chest is C2

@Michael Joseph some notes are harder to do subharmonics with than others. (Watch Geoff castellucci’s videos on how to sing lower to see more
