Beautiful. I love your vibrato (hadn't thought of doing vibrato that way on a tagelharpa!) and the scale you're using, particularly near the beginning when you're playing high up the string. Good work!
probably my favourite video of yours so far! Would love to be able to build a tagelharpa of my own, but I know it'll be tough and I have no experience in woodworking or anything of the sort xD in the meantime, I'll just live vicariously through your playing, keep it up
This sounds so good, excellent playing, great job! Can you explain how you get the first string to make more like a “violin” type sound instead of tagelharpa sound? At least that’s what is sounds like to me 😄, but it’s beautiful.
Thanks Maris! Well, i dont really have a secret for that. Just play a really high note, and you will create the same sound. You have to stroke more gentley with the bow though. And the thickness of the string also plays a big roll i think.
These are nylon strings. I think the reason why the strings are so viable, is becouse of the significant diffrences between string thickness. I dont make tagelharpa's myself, this one is made by Nikon b. He also makes vids on YT
Hey man, this sounds amazing. Lately, I've been obsessed with tagelharpas and I really want to get myself one in order to start practicing. Could you tell me where did you buy yours or do you have some recommendations of shops (EU) that are selling them? Love your other stuff, music is fantastic!
Thanks! This instrument i got from Nikon b. He also makes tagelharpa vids on youtube. Harmavuskazii also makes wonderfull instruments, and ofcourse Crossroadmusic. Making a tagelharpa is quite easy, but making a good one isnt! :)
