I am replacing my old Ranger 396V with the newer used 2017 Tracker Pro Team 190 TX. I am transferring my Minn Kota 4-Bank charger and my 24V Ulterra 80lb trolling motor over to the Tracker boat. I am glad I watched this video of yours. I have been wanting a Power Pole or Talon or even Raptor on my boat for a good while. But, I see your point about the trolling motor. Like yours, my Ulterra has Spot Lock and Anchor options and holds the boat position very well. My Ranger 396V is a larger and much heavier boat, and the 80lb Ulterra had not problem moving the boat through the water or locking/anchoring the boat and holding that geo position very accurately.
Thank you for the video. I was looking at new boats several years ago and was floored by the prices. So, I found a used Ranger for a sixth of what a new boat costs and I absolutely love it. I upgraded the trolling motor to an Ultrex like you did and Hummingbird Solix electronics and its everything I've ever wanted in a bass boat. The seats are still in great shape and the carpeting is in decent shape as well. My boat is only an 18 footer but the storage is pretty good. Storage boxes are well built and keep my stuff dry. The ride is fantastic as well. Good luck and tight lines my friend!
Hopefully you will ready this note. I am in the process of purchasing a used 2017 Tracker Pro Team 190 TX. Looks a lot like your boat. Same bow center rod locker. The previous owner, who I buying the boat from, added a stainless steel cabinet handle to the front face of the rod locker lid. Now when you open each lock, you have a horizontal handle to lift rod locker lid up with nice even pressure applied equally to both side of locker lid, which alleviates the binding I saw in your video.
I have a 2021 195 txw. A lot of the areas you identified with storage were changed or corrected. I would guess they were common complaints. Good video!
Great vidieo like all the links. I agree the trailer is not great mine is rusting too. My hatches seem fine I still have the carpet, it is always covered. Rod storage I also am not a fan. One of my seat poles is stuck premantly in place. I use a casting seat up front that is enough room. My seat in the middel bolts broke. Everything you pointed out.
I have a 2018 195 TXW w/Merc 150 that I paid around 32k for and currently have 40k into it with the electronics and dual Talons. If I had it to do over again I would use the 32k towards a used glass boat. The 195 has done its job and gets me on the lake and fishing. I currently have a water leak problem where the welds are failing where the hull meets the transom. My boat will be going back to Tracker this summer to have it repaired under warranty, so that means atleast 3-5 months without my boat. Later this year I will be replacing the front and rear deck carpet, have already replace sitting area carpet with better 20oz carpet because the original carpet did not really last 3 years. Once the new carpet is in, I will be using the 195 as a trade in for a new Bass Cat. Thought about going Nitro or Triton, but am willing to spend an extra 10k for the reliability and craftsmanship of Bass Cat.
@@BeaglerBassFishingOutdoors Yes, the price of a Nitro is very appealing, but in the end you get what you pay for. If I am going to finance a boat for 15 years, then I expect it to last that long and more. The trailer for the Nitro/Triton is my biggest worry. Buddy of mine has a 4 year old Nitro and the trailer sounds like crap and recently had to replace one of the axles.
Lesson #1 never buy a new boat. I’ve owned 9 different Bass Boats over the last 45 years some Aluminum some Fiberglass and never bought a new one and would never buy new. They depreciate faster than a mobile home. I have a 2003 Ranger 185vs with a 150 Yamaha Vmax that was hardly ever used, his widow said her husband used it 2-3 times a year for 6 years until he wasn’t Abel to take it out and use it. I took it home for $6,000. I spent $700 getting the motor completely serviced top to bottom. $550 on 3 new Goodyear Endurance Tires. So I have $7,200 in basically a new boat.
Harlan is right. Buying new is just throwing money away. To each his own but I don't buy new boats or vehicles that lose 25% of their value the minute you drive off the lot.
I agree with you I have a 2014 190 track with the pro xs 115. Storage is no good and the water in the boxes. I do use my two 8 foot power poles all the time. I hate the gas tank in the boat as well. I would like to upgrade to a nitro z18 but now is not the time to buy a boat they have raised the prices due to low inventory as well. I hope in the next two yrs to upgrade to a Nitro they have all the room and motor to move the boat.
@@BeaglerBassFishingOutdoors you might be able to sale yours for more than you owe at this time due to uses boat prices are like cars right now. Bass pro in Orlando has some new nitro right now.
@@BeaglerBassFishingOutdoors yea but need to sale it out right. You go to trade in they will pull the NADA value and give you 20% less that amout. I know my 2014 I could sale for 19k to 20k right now. Yours is newer than mine.
I almost went bass tracker 175 but didn't like the deck and the construct. So I put up a few extra thousand and went with the Ranger RT178. Looking back I'm so glad I did. Like your review and your honestly
Sound like you just need to buy another boat!!!! I never heard a more dissatisfied person in my life. Hope your marriage better than that boat GEESH!!!!
