Much appreciation for the review. I think it came out perfect based on the kind words. The original goal for this is always to answer that annoying question everyone has of what's the bassiest headphone you can recommend? Figured I would just build the answer myself, making sure it was something solid for everything else in the headphone spectrum. Rock on! Glad to see Chewbacca the cat.
I can't wait for my set to arrive. It'll be interesting to compare them to the bass monster Open Alphas I recently built from my T50RP (well, this is like the 3rd of 4th iteration of it at this point, 3D Printers are awesome).
I’ve listened to Zeos back in the day and you HBB, Original Founders of the 1st Person POV Audio RU-vid vids! Love u all keep it going ! Bassheads Unite!😂
Deep bass in studio headphones has kind of become a forgotten thing. I appreciate Zeos for changing that. Good comfort too, I think this'll be a favorite for a lot of people
Been watching Zeos for years, back when I first got into this hobby in 2012 or so, and found out I could listen to music, I mean really listen to it with the right gear. Zeos can be shall we say eccentric but no one can deny he loves music and is always searching for the perfect listening experience, headphones, IEMs, speakers, home theater systems, tube amps, DAPs, DACs, Amps of all kinds, he's reviewed a lot, and I mean a lot. This set looks extremely comfortable, built right and is on point for sound in what he set out to achieve, especially if they got Chris's rec. Happy to hear he nailed it on this one and it's definitely going on my wish list. Thanks Chris for as always your honest opinion. Hope you and the family are happy and healthy. Take care and God Bless...

Zeos started my journey based on sound and enjoyment. You have taken the next step and taught me about music with technicalities. I have his nana set and love them. Glad to hear these are so nice. Thanks for another great review. Peace.
That's what a lot of people miss - Zeos actually loves music and his EXPERIENCE with it through headphones. He doesn't concern himself with measurements and just analyzing charts. He just listens and enjoys it. In many ways, you are like Zeos. Back in the day, I followed a lot of your reviews with IEMs, when I was trying IEMs (am a headphone guy). But I sort of retired from the hobby and I haven't watched reviews for a while. I'm glad to know that you've grown as a channel and you're still the honest bad guy from a while back. Kudos, man.
I feel like Zeos is quite polarizing with his opinions, but I appreciate how much he just loves the music and hobby. Always hypes me to listen over obsess over having the greatest X Y or Z.
For your opening statements: theres a large contingent of reviewers and hobbyists who are only concerned with measurements and specs, theyve lost sight of the fact that its about the music. Music which is allowed to be fun. This set sounds uncomplicated and fun
Received mine yesterday. I will say they are the most comfortable headphones Ive ever put on. Which is pretty cool at $250 bucks and makes you wonder why other companies can't make headphones this comfortable at 10x that price or more.
Thank you for explaining your review methodology. You go so much further than anyone else to create a level playing field for testing. It's great, and gives me confidence that I don't get elsewhere.
so hyped for these. havent had a pair of bass cans since my JVC HA-RX300 (or330) back in highschool! Edit: love how honest you are, seems like so many reviewers are afraid of bass or straying from a "specific safe sound". you know what you like and not afraid to say it. still need to get your hades iems but ive been loving your Blon z300! Edit 2: I agree Zeos should do more headphones and headphone reviews, not enough and i feel like he is another with an ear similar to mine
I’ve been watching Zeos for years, and feel like his taste aligns with mine pretty close. Really glad to see a review out there. Will more than likely be picking these up.
Harmonicdyne is one of the most interesting companies making headphones that are don't follow the basic hifiman or harman tuning. Seems like a unique and good set.
Absolutely love these. I thought this was an outstanding review of a product that appears to be right up my alley. Also, thanks for letting me know about Zeos and ZReviews. I didn't know he existed and it's always great to find more trusted voices in the community. Edit because I'm dumb: Zeos, not Zeon. Zeon was a planet in an original series 'Star Trek' episode called "Patterns of Force".
$250 looks like a fair price point, but also a relatively competitive one. Obviously the advantage is that this is clearly a bass-centric set. Would love if you could try out the Aune AR5000!
Your merits: your transparency, you sharing knowledge, the consistent methodology you review (77 db/ listening to specific parts of specific songs), your honesty, your generosity. Thanks for the review. Looks like we have a winner.
I've been so into my iems lately. My headphones need love I'll also admit that zeos got me started with this audio obsession. All I wanted was upgrade to my HD 598... I ended up getting an HD58x in 2020 (I think)... The rest is history.
I would love for this set to be my first over ear set! I only use IEM’s at the moment but would love to try these out! Maybe I could start a new side to my hobby 🎉
Great video as usual. I totally agree about the Hifiman HE6 SE V2 headband. That is the only headphone to date to give me a headache. I could only wear it for 10 minutes. I thought about swapping the headband out, but I did not like the headphone enough to care, so I just returned it.
Thanks for the breakdown, sir. I'm curious how they compete with Philips X2HR for bass. There's a handful of bassy headphones out there, just have to search through.
Zeos and his videos have taught me most of what I know about audio. When I first wanted a serious pair of headphones, his videos came up. It's been a wild ride since then
AKG K245 is a bass monster (for an open back), but it's not comfortable. It's got shallow earpads and the headband mechanism is a hit or miss depending of head size from person to person. Anyways, great review sir!
I didn't know I was a bass guy until now. Straight out of the box no amp no dac just an old skool portable cd player..these deliver some serious thunderous bass that doesn't drown out the mids and highs. Plus Sic soundstage.. say no more. Z is king! Thank you.
It's great that you reviewed it with its intended purpose on mind. These will probably not satisfy those looking for neutrality or detail, but they should be very fun with music that will take advantage of what they do well.
I got my pair yesterday, and I am extremely happy! The Zeus Eris is now my go-to cans. Absolute homerun in the voicing, though I do have a tiny head so the 'phones sit a bit loosely on my head. Very comfortable.
My one concern is how sturdy they will be in long-term use. Being old and spazzy, I drop my phones or have the cable wrapped around the computer chair's armrest, so yanking the phones out of the xlr connector. Ugh. I maybe should buy another pair, just in case. heh
So good to hear that this set seems to be worth it and that it even comes close to living up to the hype that Zeos put forth. Been following him for years ever since I bought the ikko oh10's based off his recommendation (so good I bought it twice) so it'll be great to finally listen to a creation of his one way or another.
Thanks for doing the review. Seems a lot of reviewers in the hobby have had a stick up their rear when it comes to Zeos lately because he uses anime girl wallpapers in his videos, implying that means he's a predator. Always appreciate that you just focus on the gear and music rather than judging other people's harmless personal interests that have nothing to do with it. Seems it might sound a lot like my Ultrasone Signature X, but I may have to pick this one up anyway because it looks like it would be 10x more comfortable.
Comfort in headphone/earphone are sometimes treated as an after thought, but this set looks so comfortable to wear with that pads, and I'm glad to hear that it is indeed comfortable. With the tuning and the comfort, it seems like a very nice set to wear for a very long time. Good job to Zeos, good job to HarmonicDyne.
@@ZReviews now I got the man himself, how can I throw shade haha. I personally didn't dig the rinko, but z12 was a subtle but good improvement to the s12. Well done on this one🤘
Dang, I have been considering getting a set of over ears. Thanks for the information, would have never seen this otherwise. Any chance of you checking out the Kinera Celest Relentless? Seems like it would be something up your alley. Mine will be here today, but it graphs nicely from what I've seen.
Wow ! If you’re confident in putting on your work space as a piece of comparative gear …in a positive light..that’s pretty high praise. Great video as usual 👍
Good to know, been watching his videos as this has been in development, instantly thought of you as he was prepping for release. Knew if it’s bass he’s after you’ll know if he succeeded. Great to have a few different headphone flavors, will check them out. Great review
@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviewsif I do another one it'll probably be on my own, in a basement, with a million 3D printers and the price will go way up. I don't think anyone's done a headphone collab like this other than Quincy Jones and akg .
I started this hobby about four years ago ago watching you and Zoe’s. Iems were always great for me as over the ears never had enough bass like iems. This might headset I’ll have to give a shot if the bass is that good.
The hifiman headband you mentioned is THE ONLY THING I absolutely hate about my edition XS, I've tried swapping it to a sundara headband, but it wouldn't fit correctly and it was a whole thing. And that's also the reason I instantly dismissed their mini shangri-la, why would they use THAT on a 1.1k headphone, or 2.3k when factoring the electrostatic energizer
Love my mod house argons-- this may be a great addition to my phones, AND not take a small nuclear reactor to make it do the go. Thank you. I have been watching you both for a long time, and great to hear a real validation for Z from another great reviewer.🤑
I bought this from Zeos personally at CanJam London 2024. Damn there's space around the bass. Its crisp, punchy and yet, airy bass if that makes sense...❤❤❤
Best headphones I have ever had my hands on is the Meze Empyrean 2, expensive granted and not the bassiest but enjoyable during the short time I demo'ed them
You talk too long? You reviews are the best! I don't mind a lil talk, also his videos are reeeeeaaaaaaallllyyyyy long... Still follow him tho, he was the first reviewer I got into. Continue the great job!
Z was the starting point for me, and branch off to watch others to get a more rounded idea of this hobby. At times I felt like I was chasing the dragon buying new things all the time. I then realized it is about the music and that is what I enjoyed.
