Consider making the reverse wiring/reverse polarity mod to your bass's bridge pickup. I've done it on my Rics ... it'll cut down on the bass's 60-cycle hum, but leave its great tone intact.
Hey man have you copper shielded rhe cavities? I’m Thinkin of getting a used Rick and I heard the pickups are abit noisy. Any issues you’ve come across with that?
My 2019 is a heavy thick metal cover, I kind of like it, I dont go back to the bridge to play usually between the pickups is perfect, or with a pick I have a place to rest my hand or sometimes I finger pick sting style, like a guitar player. My real only complaint with the 4003 is I actually palm mute with a pick sometimes and thats impossible on a Ric bridge so I might see whats out there for that.. You have that dialed in sweet!
That’s a Boston Boy! Felix was a monster bassist! You can really hear the similarities between him and Jack Bruce ,for sure. Same sound and style. They both had the Gibson EBO’s through the Marshall’s back then. I just bought a Walnut Rick with maple finger board. Picking it up next week and can not wait! Cool video brother. Bet ya 1/2 Sawbuck you’ll be looking for a 2nd Rick cause you’ve got the bug now. I’m addicted!
