Bassist first time hearing Nightwish Everdream Live at Wacken - Reaction

Night wish is one of the most epic bands that has ever played.

" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today. "Ever Dream" was certified with Gold Disc in Finland two days after its release, with more than 5,000 copies sold, and later received Platinum Disc with more than 10,000 copies sold.

Bassist Marko Hietala is a legend in his own right. Since the 80s he's been the singer and bass player of his own band, Tarot, one of the most important pioneers of Finnish heavy metal. That's why he's so natural with singing and being a frontman. A very good bassist too, with a style that is a product of him being classically trained on guitar, and his biggest influence being Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, the godfather of all heavy metal bass playing and one of the most influential bassists of all time.

Fire! This entire show was a one in a million example of how it's supposed to be done! The drummer is Jukka (said "Yooka") Nevalainen! The beat master!

I am pleased to welcome you to the wonderful world of Nightwish from the UK Oldies Division (East Anglian branch) of Nightwish Army. As you delve deeper into their music (as I hope you will) you will find many diverse songs. Symphonic metal is the official genre, but you will find songs ranging from metal to ballads and even a jazz track. I have subscribed to your channel in the hope that you'll keep on watching and listening to Nightwish, especially their live recordings. I saw them live at Wembley in November 2022 and it was the most amazing unforgettable experience. To hear more from them, I suggest you follow Gabriel's list or pick and mix from it. The drummer is named Jukka (pronounced Yooka). Yeah, he's great. He doesn’t play for the band any more, but the next drummer Kai is also great, in a different way.
