Funny you call him the luckiest person on earth. I would consider him one of the most unfortunate people on earth. Imagine building a career, a whole fucking cult like community who worships you and sees you as a god and basically an entire industry within an industry that spans over 20 years in the making with very humble beginnings (playing full moon parties in Santa Cruz and Burning Man) and having all that talent, influence, work, and adoration go down the drain and turn to ashes before your very eyes in a matter of days. In a matter of days you go from being revered and praised as an adored talented famous DJ viewed as righteous for his artistic integrity and more importantly for his social activism and charity to being seen as a deceiving slimey manipulating perverse monster who in reality is nothing what he claims to be and is really the opposite. It’s so sombering and intensely visceral to think about, whatever Lorin is living right now it must be one of the most dreadful horrific ego splitting visceral macabre realities one can imagine. There is few things i can imagine being quite as potently visceral and ego destroying as having it all and being seen as a benevolent god like being to losing it all and being seen as a slimey monstrous deceitful scumbag
