Yes cause the samples I managed to get are from like ScentSplit or something, its good and they are labelled very well, but for a small 1ml sample, their prices arent the friendliest sadly. But the range they've got are pretty good! I've been looking at some Lorenzo Pazzaglia perfumes too and those are insanely strong!

Basso is so great, and you were absolutely right with the comparison to Vibrato, Vibrato feels like the younger brother. The Ambroxan note in Vibrato is a no go for me, which is a shame because I really loved the scent, but its just not worth the price. Basso, on the other hand, is my new favorite. Id have ordered the Discovery Set, but I have to pay an additional 50 euros for shipping

The deal with discovery set is great, especially with this huge discount. Even tho I’m sure I would love this fragrance in 100 ml bottle 😅 But the delivery will cost me 2x more than the order itself, so it’s hard to pull the trigger on the deal. Hopefully local online stores which have some of their other fragrances will have this one in stock eventually. And thanks for heads up about discount ❤

My favourite from the house(did not try maraschino). I see comments that people saying of how this is a clone of TDH or Oligarch because they have red it somewhere on stupid websites like fragrantica or parfumo. As a person who owned TDH, owns Oligarch(my only Roja fragrance) and owning Basso, i can tell they are completely different while they do share similar dna. While TDH has lots of roughness, sharpness and dirtyness, Basso has smoothness and creaminess, which is making it perfectly unisex fragrance, while TDH lasts 4 - 6 hours with very intimate projection. Basso lasts 14-16 hours with massive trail and great projection. Biggest difference is, i dont think that TDH is worth even half of its retail price, while basso worth every penny. Well done Marcelo my man

In Italian we would say "Grazie Mille"...."A Thousand 'Thank You's" your comment is gold to me....so thank you Filip🙏🏽 Never having tested TDH (not technically niche) or Oligarch (we don't have in Australia)...I haven't had the opportunity to test side by side with Basso. So to hear your direct experience with each of these and gain your insight is GOLD. The reality is that there is very little 'new' under the sun; I know that I've experienced a new fragrance only to think "it's a little bit like this, or that"...so I get there might be similarities Plus from some of the comments here; the main part that I was scratching my head on is "why would Christian out right copy a fragrance from Roja or Jean-Claude Elena??!" I mean, this seems too close to home??? Anyway, I go back to the start "Grazie Mille" for sharing and breaking this down. I will be in Paris in a couple of week and will be in the Jovoy Boutique and pretty certain that they have Oligarch there, so will do a side by side comparison...Boom Baby😎 Thanks mate for taking the time to share👊🏽💫

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector prego caro mio. I always say to people, if you want new DNA, you should explore middle eastern brands, as our western noses did not experience enough of their stuff. I did not want to mention differences to my nose between oligarch and basso as oligarch is officially discontinued an re released as isola blu, and i did not ever tried this new version. So even if it is clone(and it is not) technically it would be a clone of a fragrance which is not available anymore, so in this case would not be a clone anymore haha. But basso works pretty much fine on my skin on a cold weather, and i can not say the same about oligarch. Keep on grinding and give us the best content and ofc the best production out there.

Great review, Marcelo. I have to agree that Basso is extremely potent. Whilst in the same family as Terre d'Hermes, I do think it sits closer to Roja Oligarch, but does enough of its own thing to stand alone. Basso was also my first purchase from Sospiro, followed by Vibrato. I did see your review of Erba Leather, and it sounded rather impressive, so it might be a future purchase. Btw, what's your experience of Fragrance Du Bois? I had discounted them as a viable brand mainly due to the price, but have somehow managed to pick up 50mls of Parisian and Sahraa at just over £200 each, so pushed the button. Parisian arrived last week with Sahraa ordered today. I knew what I was getting with Parisian, having smelt it in NYC but have to admit that Sahraa is a blind buy.

A rose and thorn for you Marcelo (maybe i should share privately, apologies if so): Rose: i can't stand any other fragrance personality i have found; they are too brief, too designer, too focused on popularity, not clear on the notes etc. Thorn: the content you have covered seems to be coming close to 30-40% xerjoff/sospiro. I know you always give positive reviews never criticisms, and i understand your rationale for that, but when 1 house dominates the reviews I start to wonder how impartial the reviews are. I don't want to believe you are a salesman for hire, and we all want to trust your opinions, so I hope you take a break from xerjoff for a while, even if it means covering some classics or designer frags (many of us newbies haven't got decades of designer knowledge under our belts - we have started our frag journey with niche because you are so charismatic! ) Summary: Love what you do ! Please be balanced so we don't suspect biased reviews and can sample what you review :) Thanks!

Early on in my fragrance journey, I came across a bottle of sospiro. For the life of me I carnt remember which one it was but it was either blue or purple horrid feeling cheap velvet. I wore it once and oh my god it almost put me off fragrance for life. I don't know if it was a fake I got but my god it was awful. So much so I didn't buy another fragrance for about 6 months.

I have to say... two issues. ONE: I find it annoying that you went through an 8 minute video on a fragrance that is clearly a dupe with no mention of it. Basso is a follow-up to Roja's successful launch "Oligarch" which was subsequently rebranded to "Isola Blu" after the Ukraine-Russia war. And the Roja is a luxury Terre d'Hermes inspiration, so it's not like it's unique either. TWO: While you getting that 50% discount code for your viewers is cool, Sospiro dispatches all orders from the middle East (shipping is just expensive as the set itself at full price) and they don't pay the customs for you. So while your code is suppose to turn the set from €50/$55 to €25/$27, the final order with the shipping for EU/US will be €68/$76 and EU will get at least 20% VAT to boot (so €82 in total).

You're right, this is a clone. But Basso doesnt clone TDH, it clones Roja Oligarch NB. TDH and Oligarch arent direct clones but definitely sit within the same family
