Gosh i felt so sorry for Stefan....i couldn't hold my tears the first time i watched that scene, i couldn't hold it...Stefan deserves so much better...
it's because of this episode, I Shazamed the song and fell in love with it. now everytime I hear the song I will think about Stefan getting upset over Elena OMG :'(
Omg I miss old TVD episodes, especially first season :( This tv series used to make me cry a lot, I remember crying for days when Jenna died and some other terrible events. Current TVD is too much.. Caroline carrying Ric's baby , Enzo and Bonnie.. please.. I miss old perfect scenes, Katherine, Elena burning her home, Jeremy and others finding out who vampires are. That were good days of TVD.
that's why I'm watching them again on Netflix. I've been keeping up with season 8 too but to me season 7 was a bust. I think if anything that's when the series started to really go down hill but season 8 has made up for it

Elena got annoying at the end of season 2... and it never ended. every time she speaks its "I......" shes literally katherine except katherine admitted she was a self-serving bitch and thats why we loved katherine. Elena is the "victim" even when its all her fault that things happened.

His father hated him, he protected his brother from his father’s torture, lexi telling Damon that he needs to stay away from him when Damon says I just need my little brother, Katherine choosing Stefan over Damon, Elena slamming the door on his face with it’s always gonna be Stefan, their mother lily back ...she’s nice to Stefan and meaner to Damon (she got what she deserved death!), Stefan name shaming his brother for full season 1 even when Damon was actually doing something good .... Don’t think for a second that Damon isn’t hurt or is not broken

Stefan didn't choose to be a vampire, he was just 17 yrs old who was raped by a vampire and then turned into a vampire(ripper). The worst thing is that Damon knew that what Kath was doing to stefan, he still didn't say a word, he continuously choose the woman over his own brother. Stefan became a vampire, a ripper, killed a lot of ppl, he had no idea what he was doing bcz he wasn't himself, when he realized that what he was doing, he felt guilt, he suffered, he lived in pain, then again damon came into his life and made him a ripper again, he killed and Became the ripper again, he suffered again, then he lived more than 70 yrs in guilt and pain that he killed so many ppl. He didn't have Damon all this time with him, he had only Lexi with him, Lexi was everything to him,but damon killed on her on Stefan's birthday, for his selfish reasons, then he tried to ruin Stefan's life again, why?! Bcz he again chooses the woman over his own brother. Blames Stefan for Katherine's death. Then he did everyone hurt Elena or to hurt Stefan. Killed innocents just for fun, Vicki, zach and many more, stefan still protected his brother bcz he had hope. Then damon fall in love with Elena, he afterwards, did everything in his control to persuade Elena without even thinking about stefan and guess what he again chooses the woman over his own brother. Stefan sacrificed himself in every season to save Damon's ass, how Damon paid to him?! Stealing his girlfriend. He got Elena, stefan is all heartbroken, damon knows that, what he does?! Sleeps with Elena in the sane house stefan is living. Like both Elena and damon doesn't give a shit what stefan is going through. Stefan still protected them, supported them, do u want me to go on.... So if u r saying that I should feel sorry for Damon, that he suffered through his father's abuse, that he didn't realize that Katherine didn't love him or Elena, so I m sorry but Damon ruined Stefan's life and I feel zero sympathy for selfish ass... Also if u r blaming Kath and Elena for not choosing Damon, then I don't blame them lol. Why would they choose a guy like Damon who is incredibly selfish?! If that breaks Damon's heart then he should've better learned from his mistakes and tried to be better man, did he?! NOPE! So I don't think he suffered at all. @@Mohitkumar-mv8mj Well said. Everything is on point but you did leave out a crucial detail. When elena turned; stefan was trying everything in his power to save elena from turning (because she absolutely never wanted it) but began to treat her like "a broken toy that needs to be fixed" he wanted her to be okay so badly she couldn't admit that she wasn't. Damon listened to her and took her seriously and even tried to help her with her transition. Instead of understanding Stefan immediately grew jealous and resentful. Also when he left with Klaus before he was so mean to her (for good reason, Klaus had to believe she was dead to keep her safe. Commendable) but did he really expect her to wait for him forever? She moved on thats what happened.
Idk why but the part that makes me upset is when Tyler sees all the dead hybrids. He was their leader and he promised them freedom but he couldn’t save them

I can't freaking Handel the hurt , shock, complete pain on Steffan's face like I love Damon but I miss the old tvd like beremy and Caroline and klaus and stelena all my ships we're in place and then they were like ran over by a truck
Everyone be talking about Stefan here, but I feel so bad for Tyler here as well. Klaus killed all of his hybrid friends and all Tyler sees is all of them scattered across the ground with their hearts ripped out :(

Watched this episode and Shazamed the song to listen to later. A couple days later my friend died of heroine overdose and I happened to this to this. Three weeks later I’m still drinking and crying.
Stefan absolutely kills me here, it's so hard to watch. But also... "Are you going to age with grace? Are you going to age without mistakes?" ... the irony of these lyrics playing while the camera holds on Jeremy. My day is ruined rewatching, now that I know what happens. Really watching this show at all is masochistic lol
But I was low-key mad at Caroline it wasn't in her place to tell Stefan it was Elenas she asked Car not tell Stefan until she is ready to and she told him anyway like that's not how best friends treat each other they don't go behind their backs

This is one of the most poignant moments in the entire series. Also one of the few times, we can actually truly pity Stefan. What a beautiful song to go with this scene!
