Is it just me or are the vocals totally off and disappointing? Also, the vibe in that venue is low energy. There's just something wrong about this performance that's hard to put your finger on.
Dan's vocals? I'd have to agree, seems like he's never properly trained for singing and it's starting to catch up to him, it's just in the actual songs his vocals are really processed so we don't hear them raw very often, he was never an amazing vocalist to be fair, and that's not the point of Bastille imo.
I had the same sensation when I heard it. Not the usual rhythm I'm used to from Bastille. I personally didn't like the arrangements, the voices, and other details. Not the usual energy. Anyway, it's just my sensation. They are great artists, hats off to all of them.
@@alpha-gs2uz hi im wondering what makes someone a great vocalist. Im not musician so idk maybe there is singing technique that dan missing here. But I always thought Dan is one of singer who could actually singing live. I remember their performance in late night show some ppl thought he was lip syncing cause he sounds so good. And I used to watched bastille performance/concert on youtube, some songs I like live version better than the studio version because the live performance gives raw and more feelings to it. I always thought he's a great singer, one of those that sounds just like the studio or even sometimes better. And for an hour more long performance which must be exhausting his voice is considered stable
