@@christophertidwell2422 no? each crusader could not only tank many of them at a time but also one tap them with firestrike, you can see this in both bastion and rein cinematics, the one who fucked up rein was literally the model used to make orisa.
@rygornspectre7142 I mean if we really wanna get technical, sentry was the ability in OW1. Since he's no longer stationary when transformed, it was renamed to Configuration: Assault
The Lore, potential for this game is incredible, but as usual, with all good things in life, some corporation has to take every last penny you have to even think about giving it to you.
It honestly surprises me how much this holds up especially given the Rooster teeth situation at the moment one in the same blizzard and RT are great designs and concepts at the start but slowly fall into becoming cash grabs with barely anything left worth the money so sad 😓😓😓
I miss Mondatta man. The butterfly effect that’s about (and currently is) to take place because of his assassination is going to be crazy. He only left because he wanted peace and Tracer was close to saving him too. 😢
I like the fact that in a previous mission Genji said that he was going to visit Zenyatta in Shambali, that means that in that final scene he will probably make an appearance to stop Sombra and Widow
@@CagedSpiderYTyou must be seriously underestimating Zenyatta I for one believe Zenyatta will kick their asses, and just give a calm and friendly welcome to Overwatch
i agree, though some major alterations would need to take place for it to be anything like push / control point / payload but yes it would be very nice to see the map get turned into a regular map
I would be a lot happier for this cutscene if they didn't remove Bastion's Self-Repair. They could've balanced it by putting the grenade on its fuel bar and making both abilities recon-exclusive, but instead they just removed it without any thought.
@@Tee_B Yeah, on a 10 second cooldown for what is, in my opinion, supposed to be the one ability that makes him a glass cannon. In other words, it's far too little impact in what is very much in the wrong place. And I'd gladly get rid of it if doing so meant getting the old self-repair back *for his recon.*
@@YellowScar2014 The current implementation is great. He can now do nade jumps and nade config attacks and not sacrifice his armor, and it also buys him a bit of time when dove.
@@Tee_B Fair enough, but I still say that bringing back the self-repair would've been far more effective and fitting than the *7 buffs* they had to implement just to force his half-baked kit into viability. I mean, Bastion without self-repair is like 76 without his heal-pad or Reaper without his teleport. They might not be what the hero is known for, but the ability's existence makes their respecive heroes whole.
I can fully understand Reinhardt’s reaction to Bastion-see “Honor and Glory”-but honestly, given his defending stance in the “We Are Overwatch” short, I thought he’d be a bit more…accepting of Omnics as their own sentient beings. A layered character, no question…I just thought I understood my main a little better. Big fella’s learnin’, though!
I think its likely due to bastion units being heavily manufactured by null sector for the sake of warfare as opposed to the omnics we see like Zenyatta who are not armed to the teeth.
I can kind of understand it though, Bastion models are equipped with grenades, rotary machine guns, automatic rifles, and high caliber explosive guns. they aren't like Zenyatta or Ramattra, they were built to kill.
@@owlbearman1252that, and the fact that the Bastion units were less Omnic, more robot The differences aren’t visible, but they are there, Omnics are capable of free will and complex thought, they can make decisions for themselves, whereas robots are mindless, capable of doing one thing only Bastion’s free will is even almost viewed as a glitch in “The Last Bastion” as he still sees a path he must follow, a directive he was given and one he will achieve, though he views it as a clue to finding answers about himself, and when the woodpecker sounded like gunshots, his original programming took over, while his new and malfunctioning free will lost control Bastion is an Omnic, but he used to be a robot That plays a part in it, Reinhardt is very caring towards Omnics that have shown themselves capable of complex thought and free will, but the Bastion units weren’t Omnics, that was Reinhardt’s initial reaction Even why he refers to them as killing machines, they were built and programmed as killing machines, and only our Bastion has shown free will
Omnics are different. Bastion robots were built for war, and he specifically saw this model slaughter his comrades. He didn't see Zenyatta or Mondatta laughter his arms. Omnics are basically metal people. This one is a metal person who is made of 50% guns. He's still got war PTSD.
We need a Dedicate Genji Mission with Mercy,Possibly Hanzo along with Zen Protecting the Temple Monastery against Null Sector with another foil being Widowmaker and Sombra
You think Bridgett would have told Rein before going home. Mostly because she would have know about Bastion from her father. From a past visit or a call
Damn, and to think of the HONOR highlight of Reinhardt, ya can't think of anything but how bastions kind has killed not just friends but his own mentor.
Accepted is a very strong word here. More like he just tolerates Bastion and doesn't fully trust it yet, given his PTSD from the Omnic Crisis. The man must have seen unspeakable horrors by the Anubis omnics during the war.
@@victuz yeah that makes more sense but I feel like the acceptance part also applied to the Overwatch community there’s been a lot of hate towards bastion and ever since overwatch 2 people have thought twice because of the changes blizzard has done to bastion he’s sentry is now less stronger
I really dislike how bastions new legs just appear like a cartoon character. I know that blizzard don’t bother to do anything that doesn’t earn them money (pve for example), but I really miss how his parts didn’t just appear when he transformed. He actually reconstructed himself like one of those old transformers toys, it was one of my favorite parts of his character design.
So sad they killed off mondatta, bro still cared for humans even after everything "know that your HUMAN brothers and sisters, may not look like you and may not understand you but they to are on the same journey"
Anyone else have the feeling they building reinhardt up to be very important in the story? Just like he is stuck in the "past", forever carrying the burden of balderichs sacrifice. I'm betting you guys, rein will sacrifice himself too in the moment of need and that will be the moment everyone else (old and new) of overwatch will come together to save the world. He will be the agent coulson of Marvels Avengers.
@@specterknight0542 yup you can look it up overwatch 2 lego titans set you can technically still get it from some people who where lucky enough to get them but have fun paying a very very hefty amount since there so rare
@@specterknight0542there already are lego overwatch sets (hell, there's a bastion skin based on them). But there was also going to be a Lego titan set that was unfortunately cancelled
@@Amosus2 thx I am gonna go cry until i sleep in my room tonight for being so unconnected to not get the sets... I love legos and overwatch and this was an opportunity... I could had a irl bastion...😭 Thx for informing me 🥲
It would be better if Blizz kept the unique Hero selection just like from Storm Rising and Retribution. I'd love to see their animations when they're being selected
I sure hope the talon agents know that they should await a hell of a fight against zenyatta They dared to attack him in his home, where his brothers and sisters live
hey genuine question, I haven't been playing OW 2 since the beta but I was curious of anyone thinks the story missions are worth the purchase of the game?
@@FabschOblivion669oh no how horrible the game that is free and makes it's money though microtransactions like any other free to play game charging 5 bucks a mission that you get to keep how tragic
@@rav_productions2136 Oh no, you’re defending the greedy corporation by blindly consuming and not asking questions while all you get is a dick in your mouth. How sad.
The crusader charges are much stronger in-lore than they are in gameplay, and Bastion was cornered, so Reinhardt could end up smashing the walls down and fatally wounding himself in the process. It's not used in CQC environments.
I have seen complaints that people don’t like the way you have to buy these story missions And yeah, it sucks BUT, I will give Blizzard this, they’ve added credits to the game so that people could buy less expensive skins. Not only that, but they’ve also made it so if you grind for enough credits, you can even buy the skins that were once only bought with Overwatch Coins They still need a way to make money off this game. And those with the money to spend on this game can just as easily spend a few hours to grind for credits to buy those skins instead of buying Overwatch Coins It sucks, but I can understand it, besides, you can buy all three missions as a bundle. At least they didn’t force you to buy each separate mission with stupid high prices.
Cant really blame reinhardt for reacting the way he did, given his experience fighting bastions in the crisis its unsurprising hes a bit hostile to bastion
Bastion's remaining Omnic Crisis war programming was removed when he got back to Gothenburg with Torbjörn, and was then upgraded heavily. Bastion had gained total free thought and independence by then, so it was safe to do so.
I don't think so, the way he acts it's like reflexive Mondatta tried to reach humanity through peace, and was killed. Ramattra is trying to reach humanity through violence, and it's shaking the world.
@@Rabavilasit’s not the pve they promised with the whole skill trees and whatever. It’s pretty much the exact same we had before like with the overwatch archive event mission with cutscenes now but you have to pay for it now.
It's weird when you don't play the game, not know the lore, or even watch cinematics and the only reason I know Overwatch because of R34 and NSFW community.
@@TheFoxInTaleAFC Well, at the beginning, it felt more like machines did not necessarily have to follow their programming. Here, they're quite literally trying to make it like they have actual life.
Bastion has literally always been portrayed to be as alive as a human and he's been a hero since the launch of OW1. In the world of Overwatch, omnics are people too. There is a distinction between omnics and robots though, not many people seem to know that.
