I recorded the game with narrator audio only and everything else turned down to zero in the sound menu volume settings. Then I just cut out the silent parts and repeats.

"Can't be too careful these days." And "Been meaning to put up some guard rails." when the kid falls just really crack me up. This game is amazing, and the narration makes about half of the game. :) Imagine the game without, or with a different voice.

Oddly hypnotic. The voice kind of lulls me into a state of comfort. Much the way recalling a fond childhood memory on a rough day does.

The first time I played this game I had the sound off (since I was playing it on the train). Wasn't interested and thought it was pretty straight forward. A week later I decided to try it out again -- was blown away. The music and sound just made everything fit all right. Like a settled dust storm, peace was finally here from the chaos.

@SirJamestown I'm glad you found it useful. I'm planning to do some sentence mixing with dialog and try to make a funny video out of it like Deus Ex: The Recut or Sporeout. That's mainly why I recorded and arranged it all, but I figured others might like having it available to just watch and listen to. Such a great game.

The Bastion narrator is voiced by Logan Cunningham. He had nothing to do with The Matrix. What are you talking about?

I agree that this suits more then Morgan Freeman. This voice has that hardened, edgier vibe to it, and I like that a lot.

A proper story's supposed to start at the beginning... It's soo simple with this one. Now here's a kid whose whole world is all right, snoozin' there on a rock in the sky. He gets up... Naww I'm just fooling. He sees his old friend. He's come undone too... Has the nerve to brandish the shield he stole. Security's just going to have to set him straight... @lukeman3000 There is only one English narrator for this game, and he speaks like a cowboy for this part. Cowboy accents don't have a high precedence for proper grammar.

Admittedly, it sounds a bit strange and/or corny with no music or sound effects and all strung together with no context. But when he narrates what you are doing in combination with the outstanding soundtrack, there's nothing like it.

Out of curiosity, why is there more than one narrator (or at least more than one voice used), and why does one of them not use proper grammar? I don't know, I haven't played the game, but watching this it just sounds kind of silly to me.

@michiyoyoshiku I love Morgan Freeman, but I don't think it would be better if he had done the narration. He's so prolific that it wouldn't seem like anything special. It would just seem like Morgan Freeman. That's good, but I don't feel like that would be good for the game. Just my opinion. I'm sure it would still be awesome though. I just think this voice actor is unique enough that it adds to the unique flavor of the game.

1) Not an app, it's a game. 2) It's common for humans to use hyperboles. Hopefully you know what that is. They shouldn't be responded as seriously as you did to it.
