I hope Aclazotz actually succeeds in Torrezon. Not for any dislike to Torrezon, mind ya, but because the concept of a vengeful Bat God completing his evil plans centuries in the works and preparing to war against the gods of his old home sounds awesome. Plus, its been awhile since there was serious doubts if the good guys would win a fight or not. Aclazotz plans on Ixalan sound just small enough (compared to things like Bolas and Phyrexia) that the heroes do not HAVE to win in order for the greater story to keep going, but large enough to make him feel like a proper threat.
@@Thoughtmage100I think the vanity of Innastrad's vampires would be an issue for him. Olivia Voldaren won't bow to him, but would attempt to steal whatever power he has, so Voldaren's out. Stormkirk already has a dark god they follow. Markov is a broken mess and still hasn't recovered from the blow Nihiri did to them. Falkenrath? Already powerful enough that a foreign "god" may be annoying to them unless they could harvest some of his power. The weak willed and those without strong ties to one of the Houses though... I'm curious how the unique magic atmosphere of Innastad would affect Aclazotz.
Camazotz is my favorite Deity and bats in turn are my favorite animal. I am SO HAPPY that they made a card Themed around Camazotz. Also the whole set looks so amazing flavor wise.
Now we’ll have to see if he is defeated by playing basketball against a guy with a gourd for a head. Yes that actually happened to Aclazotz’ inspiration, Camazotz.
I will wish a most impure demise on that Brass if she dares get in the way of such a promising story. Sink to fate of all you old crow. Aclazotz has to reach the Legion so I can see Elinda again and finally see the legion's queen. Besides, an ancient God's resurgence promises to be a story for the ages that I refuse to miss Finally Wizard writers know how to write a good ending again. A good cliffhanger. I have to see this story play out
I really enjoyed the story, especially the climatic final battle. I'm so glad that both the Mycotyrant and Aclazotz survived to fight another day. With Nicol Bolas on time out and the Phyrexians defeated (until the new Father of the Machines, Jace, is activated, lol), Magic needs to replenish its rouges gallery. Fingers crossed that they both find Omenpaths to spread more wickedness...and good stories!
I really hope the omen paths connect this with innistrad in some way. Or maybe even a new vampire plane. I’d just like to see a new type of heavy vampire set!
A Bat God Spread Vampirism and made the first vampire of Ixalan is a neat concept, I wish fantasy novels have thought who knows they probably will get inspired, and make their own version for their novel.
My 5th time watching while waiting for more stories. If the Netflix and WotC deal is still a thing, if there is a narrator I hope your WotC partnership evolves! Thank you 🙏
