There was a lady in Ga. whose baby was shot in his stroller because his mother didn't have any money on her as she was just taking her son for a walk and some kid threatened her life, but shot her baby instead. The kid got off easy because he was a young juvenile. Compare this to the case of another one shot on this southeast island near Savannah.

Humans always tend to judge others when they are not experiencing what it is like to go through things such as PTSD, DID, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder as well as many other not spoken about conditions. There is also a factor that certain medications create a worsened mental state for some, as well as some who depend on medications and no longer have access to them. This is a layered conversation, and judging based on one piece of footage is far from justified. Mental health is put to the wayside on many occasions unless it is occurring from a privileged and classist perspective.

And the Second Amendment only directs people's right to a regulated militia and the right to bare arms, which meant the guns of that era. Let me tell you both something, mace hurts a lot. I’ve been sprayed with OC spray during my time in the military. In a fight, man vs man, OC spray would help in subduing a perp. However, if a man attacks a woman who has pepper spray, all he needs to do is grab her and control her. That pepper spray then rubs onto your skin, in your eyes, and mouth. Because you’re a normal person and not a drug induced psychopath, it will do more harm to you. The only way to defend yourself from this is our constitutional 2A rights and situational awareness. You should always be fully aware of your surroundings and trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right, it isn’t. Arguing that 2A should be abolished does not help you, it hurts you. If pepper spray gives you that sense of security, that is fine. However you must know if you come across this situation, you better be ready to fight to the death vs a full grown man. (I’m aware the attacker was female in this though) Most of you have never actually felt a man truly attack you. I don’t mean a shove or grab, I’m talking about violent and percussive strikes. My girlfriend who is an avid weight trainer sometimes play fights/grapples with me and said that she couldn’t believe how easily I can control her. She’s 5’10 175lbs, I’m 6’4 225 lbs. She is a VERY strong female and the size difference between she and I is similar to the gap between and average guy and woman. I’m strong, but I’m a far less avid workout enthusiast than she is. Women and men should be treated equal, but we are NOT built equal. The majority of these attacks are done by men and they prey on the easiest targets. Do not be a victim, please. Law and order will not be restored until as a nation we come together to expel it. I’m not saying we should be vigilantes or anything, but we should stand up for our right to defend ourselves and one another.

I think about this all the time. I train weekly, but I know it would be hard in a fight. Ladies, don't let anyone get too close, pay attention to your surroundings, even walking to your car in your driveway. Keep your hand free of stuff as much as possible and get an alert button. Don't rely on just one method of self-defense. It is a sad world we live in but we are here and there really is no such thing as a completely safe place, neighborhood, job location, or home. Keep sharp out there and be safe.
