I know right! I'm 42 and can only skate at about a 10th of what I once was... Meanwhile, Koston's skating at a Pro level by today's standards hoping around like a 20 y/o.. WTF!
Never stopping is key i'm sure.. I'm 43 now and havn't skated consistently for 10-15 years. Now when I got to the Park just to carve the ramps (roughly 4-5 times a year when I have time) I have to say it's rough! I'm not overweight, but out of shape no doubt, it feels like trying to skate with a 100lb backpack on - but still fun as hell! O, and when you fall it hurts more.
Anthony I think they seen skating culture is about to become more “appreciated” again. I guess cause of the young kids posting on ig now got them ready to do the vids again
Koston always goin easy in these. You known he got the bag of old school tricks that you have to google the names of. Also Maltos sw frontside flips are soooo sexy
Exactly!!! for instance, he tried that Nollie Front-Foot Impossible.. Then didn't try it again? He's got that sh*t on lock.. Talkin' bout: every late flip, pressure flip, impossible variations, etc... imaginable. He could've destroyed him.. Malto's got mad POPPPP on those Switch Flips, Switch F/S Flips.. The kid is a great skater.. but DAMNIT!!! I really wanted to see Koston go further.... One of my ALL-TIME FAVES! The man was such an inspiration & joy to watch coming up during the early 90's through the early 2000's when I unfortunately cut my own skate career (or what was about to be), short... damn injuries.. & chicks... & drugs.. :( So happy to see Eric's still a beast!
@@miguelespinoza407 holy shit you're right that's a switch frontside 180 flip. What tf was I thinking lol. It looks like one because by the time you've got the board rotated 180, it's basically rotating like a heelflip, and I was oblivious to the 180
I love how involved both Eric and Steve still are. They really live the lifestyle they have always been showing. So cool to see at an older age though. Always so hype when BATB rolls around!
Check the episode with Malto on the Nine Club. He said Mike Mo still woops his ass every time they play a game of SKATE even with his knee/ankle problem.
i guess he didn't want to feel bad for doing them and instantly win, that would've sucked, but yeah if koston really wanted to win by doing his weird shits he could have definitely won this one
Well I guess they're "Weird," but really f*cking hard to do..Pressure-Flips took me a little awhile to learn in the 90's, they were super popular for about 2 minutes, so most of the younger skaters can't do them, once you figure 'em out, they're the easiest trick ever! I remember getting dogged for doing a ton of Double Flip variations down stairs & over gaps.. Now EVERYONE DOES THEM! But all the "Impossibles" & insane "Late-Flip" variations... WHY NOT (at least a couple)???? They're "Weird" tricks?? They're DOPE & HARD AS F*CK! Pressure Flips are dork-tricks for sure, but... whatever. Front-Foot Impossibles... Don't think I've ever pulled one off in over a decade of heavy skating! NO WAY!!! Tried FOREVER back in the day.. & Late Flips..Sheeeit.. so hard! Eric used to do them out of grinds & crazy sh*t, like nothing... in like 92'!! He's got all that on lock... "Weird?" .... HARD!
damn this Sean kid is pretty clean I guess, I last sk8ed when Koston was a Malto so, now Seva and Luan are doing 540 filps no sweat! And Cole's now older too, omg what's going on! 😎🤯
I remember meeting Koston back when he was with és, and he crossed out the Nike tick of a friends shoes and wrote "és" before he signed it haha! Times have changed.
