Momma Bates is so right about fears... ❤ I have had all high risk pregnancies... lots of fears... the 10th of August, this year, I was rushed into emergency C-section at 31wks along... ❤ was so scary and how sick i was made me feel so low and weak emotionally and spiritually... but having Jesus is what got me through... im so so glad I can trust Him! Our teeny preemie just came home last week and we cannot thank Him enough for how good He has been, for the miracles He has performed in our lives this year. ❤ My favorite song right now is, "Im Not Afraid To Trust Him", by the Blythe family. Was listening to it right before they came in and told me that I wouldn't last another day and if we wanted our sweet baby girl to survive we would have to go into C-section within the hour.❤

So glad Kelly and you got to have some time. It was so great to hear from Kelly, she’s beautiful.

I just adore Chad and Erin they’re such an inspiration to me and I’m older. Already raised my children but I’m happy they were raised in a Christian Home, Church, Christian School but there’s so many things that have changed and more books etc I wish were available back then. Mama Bates I love the passage from Matthew 6.21. In November 14th 1985 I gave birth to my 1st child . A child born out of trauma. He lived only 3 months I heard that bible verse I knew no matter how long I had him with me he needed a name . I named him Matthew. I struggled a lot over these 30 plus years but I returned to that bible verse and it eases my soul. I know people have different opinions on tattoos but I wanted to keep my son close so I had a tattoo of a teddy bear with Matthew 6.21 under it. ❤

I always love the deep conversations with you Mrs. Bates. You really get beneath all the fluff (“christianese talk”) and get to the things that really make a difference. You’re so right, it’s so important to get on that same page with your spouse and make a plan together beforehand, because the last thing you want to do going into a stressful and physically painful situation is assume your spouses’ needs and wants. Purposefully setting time aside to communicate, listen and pray together is key. I can imagine, even if all you have is a few minutes, you sharing some of your wisdom and having some girl talk on your own channel. I’d really would look forward to that! Again, I said I wouldn’t comment on videos and here I go. Erin and her mom have a lovely relationship, very relaxed, always respectful and both openly share with one another from my observation. Happy about the great doctors appointment. I was shocked Mrs. Bates is still learning when it comes to baby appointments. I imagined that a OB would be nervous to say a word because Mrs. Bates has birthed 19 children. I enjoyed the question and answer session she and Erin had. I agree with Mrs. Bates about the relationship before the couple have their child. I think people get caught up in the celebration of the upcoming baby. Some people aren’t good in medical situations and if that is the case a mom to be needs to discuss how her partner can support her in the moment and she needs to support him in his difficult moments (part of me wants to say “get over it, I’m caring a baby,” but knowing in advance that there is a way for him to support you and you know he has a plan is important). I’ve seen several videos with different kids and I enjoyed all but the one about her beliefs around birth control. Mrs. Bates has explained some things about religion which I appreciate. I respect so much how Mr. and Mrs. Bates have taught their children to be giving people. I admire how they taught their kids to give of themselves. I have watched various kid’s videos with their spouses and siblings and one sees how the kids are givers in their marriage. How they an still be so giving when they have 4-5 kids and they still give of themselves. So impressive! Mrs. Bates seems so much more relaxed since all the grandkids came along. Her vocabulary has changed, chill, random and other words that make me laugh. (I am not being critical at all). Cheers!
