Bath & Body Works Organizing & Storing Your SAS Collection + Getting Ready For Fall! 

I donate all my unused products to a woman’s shelter. Anything I opened or used I give to family.

This was my first SAS and I went nuts on the creams. When I got them organized, I was like "uh oh, that's too much". Now I know! 😅

I’m a B&BW candle “collector”, although I enjoy burning all of my candles. I mostly buy the 3 wicks & a few 1 wicks. I’m a foaming soap enthusiast; all my sinks have a variety to enjoy during the seasons. In the 90s & 2000s, I collected mostly the shower gels, lotions, and body creams. I used most of them before they expired. I’m a fan of the triangle pocket bacs; I still use them when I can find citrus scents I like. Finding B&BW deals is a fun hobby; I look forward to a good SAS. Autumn fragrances are my #1 favorites. Looking forward to Fall! 🍁 R🍀

I love the message in this video!! Thank you for giving us the permission to feel free about setting our products free if needed. It’s easy to see them as permanent things and to feel guilty when they’re not 100 used up. I find the creams especially the newer ones to go bad SO quickly and specially if they contain vanilla

I love using bins to store products. Your ideas were so cool. I was thinking about painting some bins with artwork to put my personal touch on them. You know, make it a fun art project. I prefer to store my products in my bedroom and bathroom. I like organizing them by scent categories. I’ll keep the foodie and drink scents together. All the floral and fresh scents I keep together. I’m the kind of person that needs the full set: shower gel, fine fragrance mist, and lotion. I prefer the lotion over the body cream because I think the lotion is more moisturizing. I can’t collect just one item of a particular scent.

I use rolling utility carts for body care & I keep them in a cool, dark, dry area. I use a stackable wire shelving unit for candles. And I have shower caddy shelves for body washes, scrubs, etc.

Great video, thank you. You have some terrific ideas. I bought a lot of Christmas products at the after Christmas sale and our church sponsors a Girl Scout troop of 12 orphans who are over the moon for any type of girlie lotions, since they live in different foster homes. They are so excited to get anything since they have no money and no one buys girlie gifts for them. This gives me such great pleasure to gift these grateful girls something they could not get otherwise. If any of you have outlets to gift good smells to any groups of girls, you would be thrilled with their reactions. Happy shopping.

You make an excellent point about tossing items. I felt guilty because they're "worth" $14.50+, but if I think about it as I bought it for $3.12, it makes it much easier to see that it's not a big deal.

My cream here, the first 4 numbers are 1033, so made in 2021 on 33rd day of the 365 day year, so first couple days into Feb. Love the long videos!

I'm a user...not a collecter...so just a few scents a season...only bought 2 this summer...I'm also using scents from last year that I like...good idea about long term storage...all of mine are in the bathroom...

SAS got me good this year 😅im just waiting for all my orders to come in then im going to have or re organise my stash ,some new bins are on my wish list.

I also want to add for storage ideas-check out your local dollar tree and thrift stores. You might be able to find all sorts of storage stuff for cheap. I actually have a few wooden boxes from the dollar tree that I really like for stashing my wall flowers scents. The only downside is that they’d not stackable, but they’re small enough to display in your house or apartment.

You know what I use a lot of is my pillow mists !! I love those on my bedding at night!

Love this video! Can't wait to see more in this same vein. :) For the manufacture date numbers it'd be the first number as the last digit in the year and the following 3 numbers as how many days into the year. So one starting in 0195 would be 2000, 2010, or 2020 and the 195th day of that year. :)

Lots of information Bonnie! Love this video. I store my extra stash in my laundry room lol. I give a lot to the women’s shelter or gift some during Christmas. It’s really hard for me to pass up a good sale but extras are never thrown out

I collect all the mists and I only keep it if I love the smell if I don’t like it I exchange it or give it to my mom or my cleaning lady or the teenage girls accross the street! They go crazy they love them!

Love this video. I don't purchase the winter goodies, not into that. I lean towards Spring/Summer and will wear those all year round..lol! I like the lotions. Body mists I will purchase, but not often. They don't stay on my long.

I use my entire pantry to store my Bath and Body, V S products! It is the perfect area for my collection. I will continue to collect but not as much as I have before. 😂😂😂

Great video!!! Very interesting and informative!! Right now my collection is relatively small, just mists & creams and I display most of my products on my dresser. I organize by color so it's a very pretty effect

I have lavendar and cedarwood in the glass jar from the aromatherapy but I have no idea when that scent came out. I think I've had the lotion about 3-4ish years 😬 I'm very conflicted on whether to throw it away or not

How do you use body creams as furniture polish? What surfaces would they be used for?

Okay I just went to my bath & body works and for some reason I didn’t pay 75% or 50 smh on a lotion I got rib off 😩🥺😒😒I just check my receipt when I got home

Only thing you have to do is separate the creams from the lotions and what cream you want to wear wear it everyday until it's gone and move on to the next one

I know they accept them at our thrift store. I just can't remember if it was good will or the arc but it was sun tan lotion someone didn't want. Also might have to do with your state too but I am not sure 🤔🤗🥴

Any thoughts on some of the ingredients in the lotions/creams? Just curious is all after recently researching some listed.

I’ve been doing yearly declutters with stuff I’m not in absolute love with! Helps to maintain the collection and not have it overflowing

I limit myself to $50.00 for SAS. That keeps my lotions,creams, and soaps under control. On Candle Day, 9 candles last me most of the year. I did pick up 3 candles at SAS this year.

I work at Goodwill. The mists go out. Lotions, creams, shower gels go out if they look new.

Another good place to give extra things is the USO in the airports for military folks. Sometimes, folks come in from a long journey and need a shower, and its nice to have things for them to use. 👍

I have 2 spreadsheets, 1 for body care and 1 for candles. I have tabs for "empties" and "returns" and a master list of everything for totals. It took some time but it's seriously helping me since I have a column that I can filter and sort for the BOD codes and BOD codes translated into calendar date form. Now I can see I have 6 products from 2019 I want to use up ASAP since they'll be 2 years old soon. It helps me to see my progress in the "empties" tab and I have notes about if I loved the product or could live without it. And I can compare scent notes for future releases! But this is what's working for me! I understand that people may have more or less than me and it won't really work for them. But I don't know I did anything before my spreadsheet 😂

I collect and use mine! I mainly collect those rare or discontinued fragrances that I like. But I do use them! I'll use body creams and shower gels up, but I like to keep a little fragrance mist behind!

This is perfect timing..I was putting a grocery list together and on it, I had a storage basket for my (very small) bath and body works collection. Just before heading out the door, I see this video 😂

I find the creams last 2-3 years but the body washes, foam soaps and candles can last 5 years+. I just started buying sprays in 2019, so I don’t know about those yet.🤔🤔🤔

I just opened a body wash and it was bad. I believe it went bad because of the heat cause I got it last year and I'm currently using a hot coco from about 2 maybe 3 years ago and it's still good. I need to move my products out of my closet

Thanks this it great before the sale I gave away a lot of stuff to nieces, aunts, cousins and friends as gifts so I don’t waste it. I did buy a lot this sas but again doubles I gift out and only keep my favorites for my self.

I use one of the 3 drawer plastic storage things for my body care, I keep my shower gels and hand soaps in my hallway closet and all my candles on both sides of my entertainment center with doors. Great video.

I love Bath and Body Works and have been enjoying the SAS for several years. What I do is take lotions and sprays that end up not being used and put them on a shelf in our staff bathroom so other people can enjoy them too. 😊 I also make sure I end up using any creams I open up within a few months and never have more than two open at once. 👍 And I always stock up on the 75% off body washes. I always buy enough to last me until the next sale. I’ve never had any go bad. I always keep mists stashed in different places for a quick mist when I need a pick me up! 🤩 I also love Yankee Candles and have a large stash. Some I keep in my closet and some I use as decor throughout my apartment. I always love to burn candles and always have some on hand for gifts too. 😊

I normally do a scent of the month as opposed to scent of the day because I feel I'm able to get through a scent quicker so I can buy new new when the season changes 😌

I store my products on a shelf to make it blend in with my decor. But with semi annual sale I kinda went over-board 😅. When I went to organize I was like “dang that shelf filled up fast 😂”

Many women, homeless shelters and food banks will take lightly used products especially lotion and the pump soaps.

One other thing I’ve noticed lately too... be careful even with some of the soaps. I’ve had some soaps especially if hey contain those pearlized or iridescent type colors because they can change color and sometimes scent and go bad. I’ve had some that ended up looking brown or smelling weird and it’s hard to think of soap going bad but it has indeed happened to me.

Thanks for the storage bins idea. I keep my items in an extra bedroom that was previously my craft room. Now it’s mainly beauty/bath and body works. The colorful packaging does make it look like art and it makes me smile whenever I go in there. Definitely my happy place 😍

This video is awesome. I only buy sprays and body creams and the body wash occasionally. My issue is I collect other brands and perfumes as well. I use everything. Fortunately, I don’t have anything that is old and expired. I love the message in this video. Right now, stuff is not organized. As soon as this sale is over I am going to organize everything. I use the notes app on my phone to keep track of my collection and to make sure I don’t buy repeats.

I am a Fall BBW girl. I feel like that is the only time I really buy BBW products, minus the foam soaps and candles. I am huge into the body creams but then I might buy one or two of the Fall mists (total) in the scents that I really like.

Recommend, I’m not a big fanatic but I purchased 8 creams during the sas. I purchased 1 mist ,I have one handsoap and one lotion. I want candles , and handsoaps plus mists . My daughter purchased 3 lotions and one mist. I think I have enough body care to last me until the next sas sale. Thanks for the tips. I think I might try some shower gels too. I like one scent of room spray too 😂 and I like the wallflowers. I’m not big on the hand sanitizers but my daughter likes them.

I've gone through more sprays that I can count, currently i have about 40? (Some being doubles and triples from this sas :,) ) I usually don't buy too many lotions but i did this time around because i've gotten way more into it. I've bought more shower gels than ever this round as well. On average I go through anywhere from 25-40 sprays a year, i like to use them as house sprays, bed sprays and etc. Shower gels are my struggle, only need so much of it and I wash myself twice in the shower. Lotions are like water for me, i go THROUGH them! Personally I've never had a scent go bad and I believe my oldest product NOW is from 2020...but who knows lol I used up one i knew I had in 2019 up I really to look at all my collection together. Previously I had a little roller cart, granted i had 20 less at the time, where i stored my perfume and candles on as well. But i tried to move it and it broke lol! So i upgraded to a 3 tier shelf where my perfumes go on top, body mists in the middle, and candles, body gels and lotions go on the bottom. I have given some away to work as bathroom sprays previously, after I had gotten bored or decided i hated the scent. God knows how many fragrances i've had in my bath and bodyworks time haha.

I luv this video and feel u are spot on saying one may not need an entire collection. I find myself being overcrowded with stuff and so I've decided not to shop SAS much. I did pick up scents I didn't have but as far as buying repeat products...it wasn't worth it for me. I hate clutter and am starting to feel crammed. it's 6 of us in the house,even split 3 girls/3 guys and it's a 3296 Sq ft home,,but products still last us girls for a while and space is still limited, so no need to over buy. I know I want fall scents so have to save room 4 tht lol. It is some new scents at SAS I didn't buy and am debating on buying some FFM but its a slim chance,prolly just waiting for fall. Also BINS ARE MY GO TO like u Bonnie lol,I want your beach one 😂🤣😉
