Bath Chew Valley campsite review November 2018.
We travelled to Bailey of Bristol to collect a loan Bailey Pegasus Grande Bologna, and thought what better place to visit than Bath Chew Valley Caravan Site a 5 Star Caravan Park.
This location was a short distance and being an Adult only caravan site gave us a perfect opportunity to relax after a quite stressful end of the year. We stopped here for 4 days from Tuesday until Friday and managed to have a walk around and a look at this beautiful 5 Star Best of British site.
This site is just the place for a quiet relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are some fantastic sights nearby namely cheddar gorge with plenty to do and some lovely walks.
We were lucky enough to attend when the Christmas lights had been turned on and really got to feel the spirt of the place. We were told that it is tradition over the Christmas holidays to really light up the park and a gift is given to each participant who decorates their caravan or motorhome. The winner gets a free stay at the park.

Excellent video guys. Karina will soon be on tv at this rate 😊. That is only the second site that I know does valet parking of the caravans, and a nice touch keeping cars of the pitch. May have to try it.

Enjoyed your review of a great looking site! Did not realise there were valet serviced sites. Not really into birds!?! Get yourself a pair of bins plus a field guide and enjoy the huge variety of our colourful, cute and awesome feathered friends, while wandering around on your Fudges... 🐶 🦉 🐍

Thank you for watching, yes you can walk to the path thats on the edge of the lake as far as I remember. Have a look on maps to see where I mean. The main car park where the fish shop is on the lake is about 1.3 miles from the site. The park website will have more information for you, it was about four years ago when we visited 😊

Hi guys nice review of site looks posh r u working at the site or holidaying there do u have to have them park van or is that a optional if u want it r u allowed to keep car outside van nice site though thanks .kev

Hi Kev, thanks for taking time to comment. We had a holiday at the site and are having a break over the winter period from wardening. The van parking is something that they do and I know how you feel but to be fair they are really good and the pitches are quite tight so take all the worry out of pitching also you know that it will be set how they want it and it stops cars from driving around the site all the time. The cars do have to live in the car park I'm afraid however this is a very short walk as the carpark is only the other side of the main hedge and opposite reception. hope that helps. 👍👍

I haven’t heard of parking a car in a car park before. What’s the furthest away from a pitch you’d likely to be?

Must admit not parking on our pitch was a little unusual but it really did reduce the traffic around the site which was lovely. I would say at the furthest point away from the car park it’s probably 30-40 second walk away depending obviously how quick you walk. 👍 The Park is like a figure of 8 and the car park is literally past a big hedge.

No, we weren’t out quick enough with the camera and ours was parked up so managed to get someone else’s who was happy for us to just show how they parked it for you when you arrive on site. 👍👍

Valet parking never heard of that before. Looks like your van has shrunk. One of the chores of being a you tuber then have to test other vans . Lucky you
