Guys, he did an entire album of Bathory covers, where he played all of the instruments himself. Here's A Fine Day To Die ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AhobrIPUPh4.html Hopefully the algorithm doesnt hide me because of the link.
@@shadowdeath3050 Thank you so much. My favorite song is probably this one! By the way, I released a Bathory tribute album with my solo project this June! \m/
Dude this really made my day! You can't imagine how much I admire Quorthon and how he inspired me... I'm happy to be able to bring on his memory and legacy together with all Bathory inspired artists. Thank you!
@@erymanthonseth9295Dude you're welcome, you really deliver that feel that you get from the album. But man i get you!, I'm only 19 and i've been obsessing over him since i was 15. i feel like he delivered the most vicious sound and vocals i've ever heard since or before. and i think he stills stands today as one of the most underrated guitarists and innovaters, and probably the most illusive f*cking person i've ever tried to research! xD, but i guess that only adds to the legend of him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@darksl1de Yeah, he truly was a genius and a legend... and to for me he still is among us! He lives within his music and within us... I have Quorthon within me just like you do, and anybody in the Hordes really. I regret not being able to meet him (I was 3 years old when he passed away) but I can somehow connect with him through his everlasting music!
Believe it or not, you and this video inspired me to pick up the guitar, thank you bro... 1 year later and this is still an amazing cover. HAIL QUORTHON!!!
after watching 20+ covers of my favorite song, this is the best one. I absolutely love your technique, music and definitely the style. QUORTHON HIMSELF is what you are! thanks for carrying the legacy and sharing this. I love it, truly.
It's the best a fine day to die cover that I have ever seen and I can't stop watching it, incredible work you're such a great musician...... HAIL QUORTHON
Hey mate, thank you so much! Bathory is my favorite band too! You know, I actually started to study German ages ago but the course was taken down and I could not continue unfortunately. I just only remember the number song and not much more, ha ha! Viele Grüße aus Norditalien!
Thanks a lot, I'm honored by that! You might want to check out my Bathory tribute album, where I play everything myself (there is A Fine Day To Die as well). I'll give you a link should you want me to. Hails! \m/
This song is beautiful, as are all of Bathory. I'm from the band and the wonderful work of Quorthon. You play very well, I really liked it. Congratulations. It would be really cool to watch a video of you playing The Lake, my favorite music of theirs.
This is definitely the best cover on RU-vid,it was perfect, not to mention that its physiognomy is very reminiscent of Quorthon himself, hugs from Brazil🇧🇷👊🔥
Awesome cover! I love Bathory! I have just been listening to this song on repeat. The riffs are sooo good! I love this song! I just subscribed to your channel. RU-vid has this weird thing, where it likes to unsubscribe you from some channels. I have to keep on re-subscribing. Uggh! RU-vid issues...
Same here man! Thank you very much for your compliments! \m/ By the way, I released a Bathory tribute album with my solo project last year. Should you be interested, I'll give you the link!
@@iangorneault3749 Sorry for the late reply man! Anyway, here you are! The first track on it is A Fine Day To Die! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MRhop6hHMyY.html
Honestly keep going back to this cover. It feels like quorthon is playing to me and it's awesome. Also love the guitars you're playing. Can I ask what models they are?
Thank you so much, it really is flattering! Yeah sure. The acoustic is an Academy BOV-something, I don't remember the exact model. The electric is a Washburn CS-780
@@welsonpolanskgomespolansk7558 I deactivated it for now, but my one man project's profile is still active you can find me there, @_apocalypse_official_
Oh, fuck... The metal god Quorthon is still alive... This solo is so orgasmic. I can see you feel the holy underground. It's authentic and damn rare. I hope you're still alive. Natalia.
Hi Natalia! Yes, I'm still alive, ha ha! Thank you for your words. For as long as we will carry on his memory, he will live within us. Hail the Hordes!
@@erymanthonseth9295 Most of the best musicians have lived a short life, but their music will be immortal forever. For me, no one will ever be more special than Quorthon, because he did something damn unique. I don't know where he came from if he was so unrealistically perfect at what he did. The authenticity of what he did is something worthy of praise. If you want to write about Bathory and music, I wrote on fb. If not, it's no problem. I hope you record more of that. It would be great if you played Call from the Grave because the solo on this song is a pure orgasm. Enter the Eternal Fire is another perfect track to the wishlist haha and from bands other than Bathory it immediately comes to mind Whatever That Hurts (Tiamat) .. good luck.
@@obca1070 True. Not only musicians but artists in general. I haven't recorded any videos in the past 2 years because I have been very busy with my solo project called Apocalypse. It is very Bathory oriented, my goal with that project is to make Quorthon live again. I also released a tribute album, and I have some covers which I never released (including Call from the Grave), which I may release in the future. Right now I am working on my 4th album of original music. If you want, I will give you a link to the project. Yeah, if you want to talk, hit me up on Facebook. You will find me as Erymanthon Seth. All the best and take care
Cheers. The acoustic bit at the beginning is tuned to E flat standard, the rest of the song is tuned to E standard. I played an Academy Ovation acoustic guitar, a Washburn CS-780 electric guitar and a Rocktron Piranha amplifier in this video. I believe I also had a Boss FB2 booster pedal.
i was searching for solo lesson and finally see normal cover but still theres one question : how actually u played it, like using only one finger or periodically using both? i mean that solo at the beginning (yes it sounds kinda weird to ask it here)
Go and check on my channel, there is a lesson I uploaded recently on how I play all the guitar solos. I played it wrong here, so in the lesson I teach a better way to play it.
Per Øystein Ohlin Aarseth I record my videos in my room. I have everything I need there. Don't worry about your english mate, everybody can improve! :) \m/
Per Øystein Ohlin Aarseth I share my videos on RU-vid. I also have Facebook and Instagram but I rarely post videos there... last summer I used to post a lot of videos of me playing guitar solos on Instagram though
@@erymanthonseth9295 Wow.. first time anyone has actually responded to something i have commented Thanks bro :) I´m from Denmark. Hope this covid shit goes away so we can have a COPENHELL this year. Hope to see you there ROCK ON DUDE

@@mikkelkristensen2563 Of course man! I always try to reply to all my comments. I will listen to the song, thank you! I don't do that many guitar covers anymore because I am busy with my music projects (I am releasing a new album with my one-man band and I'm working on a new album with a black metal band I sing for at the moment), but I will listen to it anyway and see what I can do! I am not from Denmark, ha ha, and I am not that much of a festival person. But who knows, maybe we will meet some day somewhere! Hails brother! \m/
@@erymanthonseth9295 With your guitar skills you are going to go a long way brother. I have subscribed to your channel, so please upload some of your work. Hails from Denmark :)
Grazie!
