I remember playing this for the first time when I was around 9. I played without sound and with a blanket because the music was freaky and the Scarecrow terrified me. Just recently ran through it again in Return To Arkham, definitely appreiciate it more nowadays.

Arkham asylum was the first actual game I played. I remember my sisters played a series co op and I was jealous cuz they’d never let me play cuz it was their game. So I went to CEX and thought I’ll buy this. Little did I know that this was the first game of my favourite game franchise ever.
Ah, Arkham Asylum. What a game. It was a freaking liscensed superhero game, no one expected it to be good, yet it revolutionized action adventure combat, told one of the best non-comic book Batman stories, and was the closest thing anybody can get to being Batman.
I love you Kwing a lot because when you do Lets plays, you actually talk about the characters and you have a lot of knowledge about what is going on. Also, you have a sense of humor and its entertaining.

I bought this game back when it first came out and even now with arkham knight out I still think it's one of the best games I've ever played ( and I've played A LOT of games ).
I can see where you had some issues with this game. Personally, I still find it a great game and look forward to FINALLY playing the sequel soon. What I find interesting is that "Batman Begins", the game, sort of serves as a prototype for these games. I was playing it earlier and its hard not to see the influences, but maybe that's just me.
I know it's late but it's not just you, that's the first thing I thought as well when I played my first Arkham game (it was City). Some mechanics of Batman Begins is really similar to this series
Hey Kwings! In honor of Arkham Knight's 5th anniversary, I'm gonna revisit the name that not only started the Arkham franchise, but some of my favorite series on the 01 Channel. I may have lost my old comments due to transferring my accounts, but now I have a new prespect of things. Not only that, but now I have a new addition that shows how much I really like ya (;)P), Topic Commentary. For your sake and mine, I will only do Topic Commentary as it comes naturally, and not force them in. Trying to make yourself comment on every entry on any medium, let's play, fanfiction, you name it, it gets old when it feels like a chore. And I do not intend for the Kwing's Arkham Games to be in that category. So without further ado, I shall start my *Topic Commentary for Batman Arkham Asylum Part 1 How it Began Jokers Asylum!* - Right NOW! 1:06 Ehh, I'm sure that cop's fine. The crash sound was light for a reason...right? 1:28 Until Arhkam Knight that it...until Arkham Knight? How does it fare? The -tank- car itself? It's fun. The levels/missions based around the -Tank-Batmobile, honestly they range from a good time, to monotonous. If they toned the number of -Tank- missions down, it wouldn't be as much of a slog. Otherwise, it's a decent addition. Oh, why the 'cross-outs'? Potential spoilers, even if I'm keeping them mild. 4:24 - 6:54 Ah Mark Hamill. Finally, he gets to let loose as Joker without the TV ratings/restrictions holding him back. But then again, even during the days of BTAS, JL, and BB:ROTJ, he's gotten away with more that one would expect. He actually said "loins" in 'Mask of the Phantasm', he is no stranger to making *_very_* subtle nods to (ahem) phallus terms and jokes, and in Return of the Joker, the Uncut dialogue has a couple terms like "putz", which is kinda vulgar depending on where you're from, but not quite a swear word; and on top of that, Joker killed and tortured characters on screen, even if it was over pretty quick. I can't quite remember how many people were killed by Joker in the original BTAS - off-screen or otherwise, but I highly doubt the body count is zero - all the way through. There was that one guy who was locked in a coffin, plunged into a vat of acid, and would have burned and/or drowned to death if Batman didn't save him after Joker left. Crazy what can be shown in kids shows if you're smart about the execution - no pun intended. Some modern[ish] shows do it too, like 'The Clone Wars' and 'Avatar: the Last Airbender' - heck even Ducktales 2016 isn't shy about how they alude to death - but more importantly, these shows also know when a death is supposed to make an impact, whether it'd be an emotional scene, or to show how high the stakes are. The rest of the time, shows are either not meant to take things that far - which is understandable, but others are sadly too cowardly to make the effort *_along with_* smart writing. It doesn't have to be Grammy-winning or anything, but if you can make a show that both kids and adults can enjoy together, with some elements being appreciated more as you've grown older and wiser, then that's a very good sign of quality. Personally, this Batman (*Arkham*) game is much better than Origins and City, (maybe even Knight) I just prefer the more gothic look of *this* game than the others. Arkham City doesn't have that aura that Asylum does, the lighting, the atmosphere and overall concept are just too superior to City, Origins & knight . Yes, the open world of Arkham City is great to roam around and bash thugs heads in, but you can't beat the feeling of walking through tight corridors and feeling that tense constricting feeling that Asylum has, Arkham City just lacks in my personal expectations. (Not saying City isn't good, it's my second favourite entry in the series after all)

Sheesh, Kwing I love your videos and all, but you're going a little heavy on the Asylum hate aren't you? Despite its problems, you can't deny that this was one of the best superhero games ever when it came out. Of course Arkham City took everything great about Asylum and magnified it and cut out the bits that didn't work.
i just realized that when joker says you "should keep that big mouth of yours shut" its a hint to the future when joker kills boles/frankie by spraying stuff around his mouth after joker found out that batman was tracking him using the alchahol traces in officer boles' breath! OMG isnt that cool!?
Why is he so mean towards this game? Btw not hating on Kwing I'm a huge batman and Kwing fan he's probably the one person who knows more about batman than me but he can be a little mean towards this game at times

Nahum Delgado no the remaster looks like a cartoon. This is darker aesthetically in every way! No doubt that the graphics improved a lot in the environments, but in the bigger picture, the remasters pull me out of the scary dark illusion and it just doesn’t feel the same!
I wouldn't say unfair, just my view on it and the development. I am just pointing to some parts of this game. Such as Clones R Us, game glitches etc All which prove my point. I never reviewed this game, cause people couldn't handle my criticism, but I don't Hate it. Even before Arkham City, I didn't see this game as the best Batman Game and in my written review gave it 7 stars out of 10

Man...I really miss the Arkham games...I really wish they'd make another or something...I also hope Rocksteady makes more Superhero games in the future...like Spider-Man or Superman or Flash or some shit...I think a Green Lantern game could be awesome too.
