The intro cut scene loan has me more engaged than any of the previews. I’ve seen for suicide squad. I don’t really blame rocksteady for the suicide squad game as it’s clear to me that’s not the direction they wanted to go in but the corporate higher-ups wanted it. He was hoping it turns out decent.

I wish they gave Batgirl her own complete moveset instead of making her a reskin of Batman. Instead of direct physical fighting, she should use gadgets to show that she is nowhere near as strong or well trained as Batman, but she is a quick thinker.

ALPHA GAMER Jason dies in Arkham Asylum. You can find his wheelchair laying on the floor and Ra’s Al Ghul’s body which disappears later in the game, meaning Ra’s probably took Jason’s body to heal him. Also in the comic he escapes from Arkham Asylum(but it isnt canon)

For those who don't know Barbara Gordon (Daughter of Jim Gordon) is an admirer of Batman. Eventually being trained by him and fights along side him as batgirl. But in the Killing Joke storyline, Barbara is shot in the back by the Joker. Leaving her paralysed from the waist down. Therefore, this DLC takes place before the events of Asylum, but after the events of Origins.

Honestly when you think about it, she learned how to do fear take downs before Batman did and she can hack into more things. I just wish she had more unique gadgets like Robin with those snap flashes or his bullet shield.

Guys, don't listen to George and Javier Lopez. They have the Arkham storyline all wrong. Jason "died" way before this story pack and was replaced by Tim Drake due to Batman thinking that Jason Todd was killed by the Joker. Tim Drake was Robin here and it's obvious, considering that Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) calls him "Tim" as in Tim Drake. Hell, the first line Barbara aka Batgirl says in this story pack is "Tim, where are you?". Dick Grayson was already rocking his Nightwing persona in Bludhaven so he wouldn't be helping Barbara here much less in a Robin costume.

Also, "A Matter of Family" takes place BEFORE The Killing Joke, BEFORE the events of Arkham Asylum when Barbara was still rolling as Batgirl. She became Oracle after The Killing Joke because she was shot by the Joker and paralyzed from the waist down.

honestly it would have made more sense to replace robin with nightwing as the love interest. it makes more sense and is accurate to the comics and barara's clothes in the game. i understand if they broke up, but if tim a bab's relationship sparked this early why would she be wearing flying graysons appearal in arkham knight. its clear this dlc should have featured jason as robin or dick as nightwing.

BoringMan In an alternate universe in Batman Beyond comics, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon get married and have a kid. In the 52 universe though, they become estranged and Batman winds up sleeping with Barbara Gordon after Nightwing leaves.

Seems like Batgirl's fighting style uses her legs more-so than her arms. I suppose that's fitting. Her career as Batgirl ended not just because she was paralyzed, but because her whole fighting style revolved around using her lower body as her primary offense. Also, 11:28. A Matter of Family is what I wished the main story had ALOT more of; fun locales with its own hidden backstory ala the Asylum, unique characters and predator tools, more team-up combat, silly collectibles, capped off with an actually fun boss fight that was better than anything we go in the main game.

+Sean Clark Paul Dini never intended her to be Joker's successor, he only ever envisioned her as his henchwoman. Hence her fate in the DCAU. Dini didn't write any part of the Arkham games' story after the main game of City. He probably would have treated her a lot differently had he wrote Knight.
