This a pretty awesome glitch, but why didn't they just implement this into the game by defualt, like catwoman in Arkham City?

Funny how Azrael can glide with a Ripped up Cape and still normally glide like batman

You get very lonely as batman trying to solve all of the riddles alone, without red robin, or red hood, or nightwing, even oracle or gordon would do. I've gone to the gcpd before to find someone to talk to, but pyg is there singing his creepy music

I have tried this too many times now. no free roam is worth this level of frustration. RockSteady, Make an official free roam mode for all characters

After completing the main story and activating Knightfall this should just be an option

FOR THOSE VIEWING THIS VIDEO IN PRESENT DAY: Unfortunately, the glitch has been patched, unless you are a version of the game that is not updated, you will no longer be able to do this.

You can use any character for the glitch into bleake island, you can go to the edge of the bridge and jump into the wall because there's the slightest bit that's on the other half of the water under the next to the bridge, if you fall through there than it teleports you to the other side because that's the side that your closest to.

Oh that's sweet! Hopefully fan reaction to this glitch will persuade Rocksteady into making freeroam available for every character with and occupied city, but I'm doubtful that will happen. This is great though, thanks for the tutorial!

Please Rocksteady, if you are seeing this, make free roaming with all characters official! To make things even more fun make em ride the Batmobile too, why have a Robin themed Batmobile when Robin can't use it! But I'd be satisfied with just the characters free roaming with enemies! We all love Batman! But we also love many of his friends and enemies just as much!

I remember them once stating that they weren’t gonna make Characters available in free-roam because “the world was designed around Batman, and traversing Gotham wouldn’t work as anybody else”. BULL SHIT! I don’t care if traversal isn’t as easy, I still wanna be able to walk, jump, glide and run around Gotham as EVERYONE even if it’s only post-game after Nightfall or something

I don't know why they removed the character switch from Arkham City, it was a good idea

With Knightfall protocol in the game I don't know why you don't end up playing as one of the other sidekicks.

I wish that rocksteady would just let us do this without a glitch, and not in a crap DLC. We as fans have been begging for this, and I know they have been listening when it comes to skins. So why not now? #LiberateArkham

It has been discovered that AR Challenges happen in the beggining of the story (Meet Gordon at the Batsignal). So when you try entering the island, it doesn't let you, just like in the campaign (except you are on the other side) So, basically, the game doesn't allow you to leave it because you need to meet Gordon. If there was a way to progress through the story inside AR Challenges, that wall would disappear. However, as there is no way to progress through the story inside AR Challenges, the wall will still not allow you to exit (in this case enter) the island.

They should just add free roam. Who cares if the map was built for Batman it would still be a tun of fun if u go to mess around and best up bad guys as other people. The only one you could play was cat women in arkham city. Add free roam.

I think this is the only mistake with Arkham Knight. Once the main storyline is over, you should be able to carry on as one of the other playable characters, finishing off what batman did not.

honestly cant believe they patched this. if theyre not gonna make an update where we CAN free roam then why not let us have fun with this glitch? idk rocksteady youre losing points from me for this

You can easily get over the invisible wall as any character, just get really close to it jump, make sure your character freezes and then just let them fall.

well, regardless of these people's disrespect, I personally thank you for this video, even it it won't work it makes me happy knowing someone out there was able to roam the city with whomever they please. I wish this was an option in game. it's getting hard to stay content with this game. but I love it so much. nice video man.

The developers should've included free roam as a game mode at least in Batman: Arkham Knight. Because every player would love to freely roam the city with one or the other characters in the game. Every time players have to use some mods or use some glitches to do this.

I think catwoman is the best for free roaming. She can climb walls and swing from building to building.

Kinda useless IMO you don't get to fight anyone. You just get to go around the city. But there is hope that rocksteady will actually let you officially free roam with these characters. Maybe even add in vehicles!

I am here from 2022 to confirm this glitch still works on my Xbox Series X and PS5 but it is extremely hard to do you have to precisely do it correctly in order for the glitch to work it takes a few tries until the glitch works 😢 I swear rocksteady studios could have made Arkham Knight the ultimate Batman game of all time if they allowed other characters to free Roam around Gotham City and actually do challenges 🤦 But that is a missed opportunity 😢 This game could have been game of the year However I still give it five stars because it's by far the best Batman Arkham game of all time because of the batmobile 😍👍 Even in 2022 I'm still amazed how good the graphics looks at upscaled 4K 😍👍 fuck all the haters who didn't like Arkham Knight You are not a true Batman fan If you didn't like Arkham Knight Case closed 🤦

To everyone saying it should be official to freeroam with everyone and not a glitch, Rocksteady was trying to make this the best Batman game ever and they still are by releasing more side missions. They aren't worried about stuff like this, they want to give us objectives to do so maybe when they are done trying to make this game better they will make this official but honestly I don't mind only being able to freeroam with Batman.

They should give Nightwing those weird armpit glider things he has, but only when he's gliding.

I did it by first going into the challenge map called terminal velocity or deconstruction (those 2 maps I know work) and when the challenge starts try to avoid being seen but try your best to get to the spot caboose did to do the glitch. Get in the corner cover and throw a gadget but while your character is still in the process of throwing the gadget press square or X (for Xbox one) and then release the left trigger and after you release the trigger press the trigger again and then press the right trigger. Then you should be out of the map, hope this helps!

My thing is that burns me up about Batman and I love that how the heck you make a game so good so realistic and you cut some of the stuff out that's been in the games for years don't make sense we shouldn't have to glitch it to do it but thank God this guy I got to do what I got to do

Players find glitch of something that should be in the game already and players want. Rocksteady not only doesn't give it to is, but patches it out.
