The Cold, Cold Heart story add-on introduces new locations including Wayne Manor and GothCorp, taking players on an ice-cold journey as Victor Fries encounters Batman for the first time. Players will have access to all new gadgets including Thermocharged Batarangs and Thermal Gloves. Batman is also equipped with his powerful Extreme Environment (XE) suit to take down Mr. Freeze and his Cryo-thugs in hours of new story content.

Kwife is right about absolute 0. It's -273 C which has never been witnessed by humans as it is the theoretical temperature where no energy is present to let anything move down to the atom. The term "absolute 0" does not refer to 0 Celsius but 0 Kelvin

I love how some of the lines between Batman and Mr. Freeze are reminiscent of Heart of Ice such as: "Think of it, Batman. To never again walk on a summer's day with the hot wind in your face and a warm hand to hold. Oh yes, I'd kill for that!" to "What she wants is to live a long life in the warmth of the sun, her hand in mine. But because of him, she'll only feel the icy touch of a man whose emotions run as cold as the blood in his veins!" ...along with: "Goodnight... humanitarian" to Take a seat, humanitarian." This is a VERY well done DLC! It's not only a tribute to one of the best episodes of The Animated Series, but it also adds more to the story to make it more expansive and actually more interesting than Arkham Origins! Very awesome playthrough, Kwings! Can't wait to watch more playthroughs and learn more Batman lore! (Also New 52 Mr. Freeze is really ridiculous.)

The end makes you feel for Freeze. I forgot all the crimes he committed in this DLC. Felt like an injustice that he got jailed.

Loved this expansion, love Mr Freeze, he's been my favorite Batman villain for as long as I've known Batman existed, probably due to it SubZero coming out the year after I was born. He's a villain that I still find awesome to this day, and there's still a weird part of my brain that's almost convinced he's Batman's ach enemy.

Fantastic gameplay walkthrough, the freeze voice actor intro is incredible. Definitely looking forward to Fall's Arkham Knight. Hopefully completely Cold Cold Heart unlocks the XE Suit for campaign challenge maps.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to point this out, but I'd thought it'd be an interesting fact to know if you happen to see this comment: K-wife was right when she said absolute zero is -273 deg Celsius and would be too cold for Mr. Freeze. This is because no life can exist at absolute zero - all molecules stop vibrating. It's actually technically impossible for anything to reach absolute zero.

From what I've gathered the reason why Mr. Freeze is a delusional psychopath path in the new52 is when Dan Didio issued his "no marriages" decree it not only applied to the heroes but to the villains as well. I understand the thinking behind the former (even though I disagree with it) but the latter makes zero sense to me. Why rob a tragic villain of their pathos?

Knightwing, Fahrenheit does not mean "heat". It is a temperature scale. It ranges from absolute zero to -300 degrees, to the highest temperatures on Earth (temperature of lava for example at roughly 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit). It's just a way of measuring temperature like Celsius, or Kelvin. All of those scales are ways to measure temperature, they can be used for measuring cold or heat equally. Other than that, great walkthrough! Your voice imitations are impressive.

7:07 At absolute zero your atomic structure would lock up instantly, no heat can be created within it as energy cannot transfer through it, you'd have to heat it up externally. But regardless no amount of Icy Powers would stop it from killing you unless you're literally incorporeal.

Kwing & wife, since you guys were talking about voice actors in a previous video, the Arkham games cast Maurice LaMarche as Freeze and he's the one doing it here and in Arkham City. LaMarche has been doing voicework for the past 30 years, as Inspector Gadget, Egon on the Ghostbusters cartoon series, Brain on Animaniacs and Pinky & the Brain, several characters on Futurama, and for a while, he was the voice of Honda Used Cars. He's talented, but can be a bit cocky, sometimes (can't we all be?). Anyway, since you mentioned the actor who played Freeze in TAS, you would love watching him as a technomage on Babylon 5, where he really gets to act. Notably, Efram Zimbalist also plays a character on Babylon 5 in the 4th season, and he also played Alfred in TAS. In fact, Babylon 5 and TAS have a lot in common, in terms of actors, and of course that they were both produced by Warner Bros.

never learning about mr. freeze's origin, watching batman explain the whole thing was soooo interesting, satisfying, and cool (no pun intended) i guess i should start learning more about DC and also start watching the arkham games lol i might learn something new or many somethings new (terrible english i know, i did it on purpose, believe it or not)

In the Batman & Robin movie, it showed that Nora Fries had Macgregor's Syndrome and showed Mister Freeze developing a cure for stage 1 of Macgregor's Syndrome.

to me i hope that they make a robin orgin story dlc. also i believe that freeze will never want to become like him. because he see his predicament as a curse. yes, by making her become like freeze both will be happy. but i belive freeze want Nora being happy more than his happiness being with her. he want her to feel the sun on her skin, he want her to have a normal life. instead of spending a second in frozen hell like Victor

It's funny how the only thing i remember from that Mr. Freeze episode(Heart of Ice) is the chicken soup line. I watched the animated series a lot as a kid but most of it is a blur. I was more into Spider-man and X-men growing up.

Absolute zero is defined as precisely; 0 K on the Kelvin scale, which is a thermodynamic.The actual temperature is -273.15 degrees Celsius on the Celsius scale and -459.67 degrees Fahrenheit on the Fahrenheit scale... ;)

MaGregor's Syndrome shows up in Season 2 of Arrow too, I believe but they give it different symptoms. It's a fictional disease so the writers can do whatever they want with it.

Mr. K-wing, I have a question for you: Are batman and Mr. Freeze really that different? A strange question,I know, but let me explain. (the only Mr. Freeze I follow is the 1990’s Batman: The Animated Series and Subzero) Mr. Freeze is doing what he is doing for his wife. Who, to me, seems more like a coma on ice for that he has a little extra time to cure the illness then a dead woman cryogenically frozen. Like chilling a transplanting heart to the new person that needs it. Batman is doing what he’s doing so “no kid has to suffer the loss of their parents from a punk with a gun.” Both of these situations was just a bad day for two men trying to protect the people they love. The statement Mr. Freeze makes, “I don’t want to hurt you, but I will.” Reminds me of batman’s one rule. I also watch a review of Subzero, and although I do see the problems with the film, and they are understandable, but I still love the film every time I watch it. What I also would have liked to see, is a film centered around Mr. Freeze a little more, with flashbacks, his research, and the choices he makes. One in particular, is how Victor first meets Kunak (the boy with him) in a flashback. Ultimately giving him a sense of normality in raising him, and loving him as a son, that Victor (and Nora) never got to have. It's in a comic, but it's very quickly glossed over. Thanks for letting me share my comment! (I hope you forgive my ramble...)

At 6:07 that scene never really made sense to me. I may be wrong but it looks like the guard kicked the sh*t out of Dr. Fries then tried to run away. Would he not notice it was more comfortable in the Cryogenic room than outside it? I hope I'm making sense.

I hope in Arkham knight that the whole outline of the story actually makes it understandable for the character and not just throw everything under the bus and make it all randomized (no names being said *cough* Arkham Origins *cough). About the cold cold heart dlc I hope they clean up their act and make it better so that on cut scenes the character's lips go with what he or she is saying. Overall it was an OK game.
