@@lems1797 you still need to be clear on what you’re saying. And if you didn’t watch the movie, don’t talk about it. It only causes problems and confusion.
@@nuclear37 they said in an interview that they used the upgraded suits but just didn't update the sprites. Even with that those grenades have been shown to be able to rip holes in the side of a warship and damage superman according to another commenter on here.
@@jandremauke62 They said in the video that they had to re-create the spider man serum from scratch, and that miles had a entirely different powerset than Peter. (Hence Miguel using claws to climb and Peter just sticking to the walls.) So while they are indeed similar, it wouldn't be a good idea to scale them to one another without relevant feats to back it up.
I remember watching Batman Beyond as a kid and thinking how inconsistent the strength and protection of the batsuit was. In some instances, Terry could lift boulders and tank huge impacts, yet he could also falter from the punch of your average goon. Not to mention, during his fight with joker-fied Tim Drake, he had Terry pinned on the ground with a table and his own body weight. Terry should have been able to effortlessly lift both.
you have to turn your brain off to a certain level to enjoy these things. Also gotta remember even if such armor existed that could protect us from blow, the sheer shock wave force or whatever it is called would kill you if you took such a hit of lets say 200 ton punch.
I also enjoyed the series, super hero writers have a tendency to care more about what is "awesome" more than what makes sense. A certain amount of "suspension of disbelief" is necessary to not get frustrated.
That upset me as a kid. I would be watching and see a group of no names and think, " okay just a little bit of crime fighting to open the episode", but no he would get his ass kicked and I would be so confused why the futuristic and all around better batsuit provided less protection and offense than the first one ever made. It really under cut the power of the suit for me.
I know that it applies to much media, but it still bothers me. Kirby can survive super novas and lightspeed but will die after touching a few fuzzy or fungal enemies.
@@jkjordon1 The no kill rule is removed for deathbattle otherwise characters that refuse to kill their opponents would just never win because they would refuse to kill their opponent until they themselves die.
I feel bad for the person who made this animation. He worked so hard, just to get comments saying the animation sucked, just because the animation is short.
Douglas Hendrie the upgraded suit can survive the missile , the normal suit that he was wearing was just thin stretchy cloth. I don't know why they bothered mentioning the upgraded suits if they didn't use them
just some guy so then why did they animate Spidey losing? With his new suit Spidey would win, and Terry's new suit was evil and got destroyed so he wouldn't have had it
The storyline with Miguel reviving Cap, lifting Mjolrnir and leading and age of peace, is highly underrated and something we need to see in live action 😱
Spiderverse Miguel got outsmarted and out maneuvered by Miles, who didn't have any future tech, yet people still wanna argue Miguel would be able to beat Batman Beyond 💀💀💀 fan boys
I get what you mean but you're taking that chase scene out of context as while Miles DID outmaneuver Miguel as he had to get away from him because miles obviously can't beat Miguel in a fight, Miles didn't "outsmart" him at all, Miles was able to outmaneuver Miguel because things were VERY chaotic with all the hundreds of spider-people chasing after him and slamming into each other and Miles was able to slip past them through all the chaos and he got help along the way. It was various things on how Miles was able to slip past Miguel, it wasn't just him alone. Miles is skilled and talented FOR SURE but he clearly still needed help with that scenario from how crazy it all was.
@@xukitazi444he did outsmart him he led all those spider people into the train like he intended and managed to escape and Miguel got played like a fiddle
Definitely agree with the outcome but I think there should’ve been more of a fight between Terry and Miguel once they got to the ground. It ended too quick imho
Batman once hacked into Darkseid's base, this Lira was probably a piece of cake to him. (This is also why I believe Batman can hack Tony Stark's Jarvis ... coz that's in a language & format he's familiar with) Don't get me wrong, I agree that Tony Stark's tech is far more advanced and better than Batman's tech. Darkseid's was too. I think the Joker even hacked Batman's computer once. I'm just saying Batman can use & manipulate tech far beyond his own.
SmashLiXs There is, it’s called *”Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker”* Movie, I prefer Superhero movies Dark, Gritty and more Serious than the Cringey Comedy Superhero movies (Edit: *"Cough"* Every single Marvel movies *"Cough"* ).

@@MultiMario2306Terry's strength is inconsistent as hell. He can go from lifting bolders. To being pinned under a table by joker. How does that make sense.
Let’s not forget 2099 spider man was able to fight and hold his fighting multiple versions of the hulk and thor (World war hulk, Mistro Hulk , and the old hulk) on different occasions no he didn’t win but that’s not a small feat.
@@BaronessAishi055 Im not knock what your saying but 2099 had no bail out kryptonite no advanced technology was not in his timeline always not prepared to fight them either and weaker due to hulk doing experiments on him in his lab and he was constantly being jumped just have to put that out there. Im not disagreeing with you but that’s not enough to overshadow 2099 don’t underestimate that
Dies from razor-sharp explosive projectiles jammed through the protective suit with something like 200 tonnes of force, and then they explode inside his chest. Armor doesn't help you when it's bypassed.
This fight kind of already took place in the comics ;-) In Hickmans New Avengers the team faces "the not-Justice League" and Dr Strange beats "not Dr Fate". Dr Strange does have feats that could suprise you :) .
I love how they don't bring up the fact Spider Man 2099 in his new suit can tank being DISINTEGRATED at the molecular level when he fought Lash the Inhuman. He's also fought people with sonic weapons and survived a GIANT SPACE LASER that destroyed the building he was near which collapsed on top of him which HE SURVIVED. I can't help but feel they are downplaying Miguel here.
Can somebody tell me why they spent at least 45 seconds talking about Miguel's power suit and didn't actually have Miguel use it? Seriously, I can spot quite a few flaws in this one...c'mon guys
Mark God but still, seems like a horrible handicap. We have a guy on a day of the dead costume vs a guy in an extremely advanced stealth combat suit made by Batman. It’s like putting you in a leather jacket and putting you up against a guy wearing power armor from Fallout.
3 freaking bombs? That's all it took? Apart from this battle being so short, they talked up Miguel being able to take a hit from a howitzer. But three bombs killed him. What a load of crap.
Donald Trumpet i doubt they just wanted to please batman fans. It's been way too long since batman vs Spider-Man. Besides I think they already did that with batman vs captain America.
That's very true considering lol no, Batman beyond outclasses Spiderman 2099, the way he won here might now be accurate but the ultimate result will always be the same
But good thing we got to found out about the great food from BLUE APRON! Seriously, they sold out to that service for longer than the actual fight lasted.
Can we talk about how the OG Spider-Man was MUCH stronger than what they showed...Like punching off Jaws if he used his full strength? Or holding up the ENTIRE OF PARKER INDUSTRY?
It doesn't add up tho, considering the missile Terry went against was in the air, and they showed that Spiderman had the advantage in the air. His foot speed would obviously be much slower
Not really, the actual Spiderman's strength level is 25 tons max (as listed by Marvel). He rarely crosses this limit unless there's some extreme motivation.
I see some people saying this needs a rematch after Spider-Verse, but it really wouldn't change anything. The real disappointment here is the fight itself, it felt bland and had an anticlimactic death.
Yes that totally makes sense. SpiderMan can lift 200 tons but can't pull a few batarangs of his chest. And he can survive a military bomb and a shot gun blast but can't survive a small explosion
Ikr, I was hyped! Excellent choice of characters, but animation could've been better. For most of these death battle videos, I get really excited to see the actual battle, more than I do to actually see the winner.
I love Batman Beyond, but I'm honestly not the biggest fan of 2099. He's basically a lame version of Peter Parker. He isn't even as strong, for crying out loud!
Hector Kringle batman Beyond only has one suit but spiderman 2099 has two, the old one and the new better one and death battle used the old suit instead of the new suit. Understand
Yeah, i never felt that the fighters got to break out their full potential and i think it ended just as it was about to climax. The best battles typically have the characters unleashing their greatest powers, weapons and abilities as the battle peaks, but i feel this one ended just before that happend. Spidey unleashing his claws and full brute strenght countered by Bats strenght and skill would have been a decent climax, which could have been nicely punctuated by the flashbang and explosives. And now i have mentioned peak and climax so many times that i cant help but think of this fight as a premature ejaculation.
I mean I figured batman would probably win, but that honestly was one of the most anti-climatic and shortest death battles ever. Like the fight only lasted a minute and a half to two.. /:
I've noticed something with Screwattack. Whenever they have a huge fight coming up (Vergil VS Sephiroth), there's always a filler episode if you will before it.
CMOmusic also. If spidey here survived a howitzer. Something that drills holes through a tank LENGTHWISE. How does something with the force of a cherry bomb kill him??
As a Spider-man fan this... doesn't surprise me. I'll contest every time that Spider-man beats Batman, but while Batman Beyond is an improvement and addition to the original Batman, Spider-man 2099 had to start from scratch and, frankly, wasn't given as much attention and time as Batman Beyond. So, I'm not debating the the outcome. But "He could use the flash bangs to knowingly take advantage of his super sense"? How the shock does Batman Beyond know he has super senses? I missed that part in your analysis. Also, did anyone else find the fight boring? Dodge, web. Dodge, web. On ground, flash bang, done.
LevelUpLeo To answer your question. I legit don't know, maybe basic observation from either Bruce or Terry? Maybe they fought someone similar? Don't know.
LevelUpLeo "how the shock does he know he has super sense". He dresses like spiderman. He looks like spidermanish, he has webs like spiderman. I mean. Didn't take Miguel long to decipher Terry was Batman and spiderman is not a hero known for well...not having super senses. Also in the battle they clearly did not given Bruce's comment. Flashbangs are effective against most super sense users in general so there's that
LevelUpLeo even if he didn't know about Spider-Man's enhanced senses, he would have thrown the flash-bang anyway. It's a matter of training and instinct over simply knowing your enemy.
Waqas Omar Of course it wasn't fair to Miguel. Ever since AT&T (the company that owns ScrewAttack) have been working on merging with Time Warner (the company that owns DC), Death Battle has essentially become a propaganda piece for all of the Time Warner's characters. Hence the godawful WW vs Thor atrocity, and this latest abomination.
Batman: "Hey! I was brooding over there!" Miguel: "Oh shoot man, I'm sorry. Didn't think that Gargoyle would break like that from me swinging from it." Batman: "Hey no problem, I can find another spot"
@riddem79 i was going to mention the whole howitzer thing. but oriris beat me to it. he is correct. those batarangs are powerful. but a howitzer hits much harder.
Small objects can have a more concentrated explosive force. Howitzers shoot area of effect projectiles. I feel like the outcome was fair if a bit muddled.
@matt wright you do realize like any explosion, the point of actual impact has the highest yield of damage. which means the very center of the impact of a howitzer is massive.
This fight could have gone either ways. However, this fight was executed poorly. I don't mind Batman winning, but for Christ's sake, come up with a reasonable way for him to win.
technically at this point, Virgil has one win (the first fight) in addition to the tie, which we'll count as a win for both him and sephiroth; meaning the current score is virgil 2, sephiroth 1.
True because each fighter has some kind of edge that can be exploited to win the match like Thor pwning raider with electric resistance or Kirby being hell a durable compared to majin buu!
I love death battles but this was the fastest fight by far. 2 minutes only, even DBX has faster battles, and those have NO RULES NO RESEARCH, this would have been a fine DBX not a death battle.
Not disputing the outcome, but that ending.... Miguel's armor can take a Howitzer and yet 3 tiny grenades do him in....? Why even do all the research on both character's upgraded suits and then not even use them?!
FiveGates they used them like that power where batman blast spider man which caused him to win was part of the new suit for batman they also used spider man but they just went with the original suits to show who they are I think
Jwolfe112 Nah bro that was a bs fight. I mean they didnt even cover the one time Miguel survived an explosion that destroyed half the city of Nightshade; or when he fell thousands of feet from the sky to later get up and KO 2 guys.
As the db cast has stated numerous times. The fight at the end is just for show and does not show how they would actually win. The research shows it more.
A couple things to consider: -Explosions grow weaker as they travel farther, so how close to the blast's epicenter was he? If he was relatively far away, particularly with several buildings between him the epicenter, he would have taken something far less than its full force, whereas those explosives were right on top of him -I think it is highly likely that Bruce would have built some "armor piercing" type grenades for a fight against a well-armored robot or to blast his way in, giving the grenades a bit more punch -If you look closely at the page they got the Howitzer quote from, you see they consider it the low end of ordinance that would have a chance of penetrating the armor, not the armor's upper limit.
Given that Bruce is alive during this, I like to think he sent clones or something to battle and analyze all his opponents so he can make contingency plans for if they battle in real life.
