Batman Contigency Plans: Darth Vader

Batman would never know all this about Darth Vader unless he interrogated Yoda or Obi Wan. And finding the most recluse individuals in the entire galaxy is nearly impossible.

@@davidcici11Evolution That is the thing about Batman though. His ability to plan investigate and gather information is among the best in the entire DC universe. It is more likely that Batman could find the necessary information through records by hacking the empire and investigating Jedi and Sith data banks and locations. Force abilities are no big secret. And plenty of other Jedi and Sith were out there other than Yoda or Obi-Wan. Also, the suit would have information in the empire's computers. I find it very plausible that given Bat's track records, he could obtain all this info a variety of different ways.

@@xavimontero2615True, yet Darth Vader would never allow any ties to former self to be leaked nor information kept in old data to be gathered to make inferences in old archives. To the known galaxy at large Anakin died during order 66 for Batman to get hold of a database to make those type of inferences wouldn't be impossible but not likely. the only one that has made educated guesses of Vaders identity were Tarkin and Grand admiral Thrawn and that is mainly because they had served with Anakin before his turn and found Vader and Anakin to be the same based off certain inferences in regard to their characters. Batman only way of obtaining that kind of information is getting a hold of Vader former Master Obi Wan and his grandmaster Yoda. And like I said they are two of the most recluse and hard to find individuals in the known galaxy. Vader would never allow anybody to know his true identity Batman is a greatest detective but in order for him to know Vader is to know people in Vaders past and given Vader past is unknown it's nearly impossible. He could get a hold of Darth Sidious but that is illogical as Darth Sidious is stronger and much more dangerous than Vader and more powerful so that would defeat the purpose. Outside that there isnt a single soul who knows him outside of Reva and Ahsoka during that time. Vader has killed a lot of people and ties to his past. Also Batman trying to reason with man who killed his literally past self is not a good strategy. The only person that can turn Vader back to the good side is his son.

@@xavimontero2615 Anakin Skywalker was believed to have died during Order 66 majority of the public including top ranking imperial officers believed he had perished around that time. The only ones that had an inclination on Darth Vader potentially being Anakin Skywalker were Thrawn and Grand admiral Tarkin, and the only reason they had suspicion is because they both worked with Anakin and Vader and saw parallels. Vader killed anyone that knew his identity or anyone that seen him with his helmet off. Vader had to breach Padme grave and go through several hurdles just to confirm Luke as his son, the Jedi archives would of been destroyed by the emperor and the emperor wouldn't allow Vaders identity to leak neither. The sith operated as shadow warriors until Palpatine revealed himself to the public but even then he spinned it on the Jedi as being the enemy. The public didn't even know Palpatine was a sith lord only that he was a chancellor that became emperor. The sith archives wouldn't hold information as the sith didn't have archives to begin with it was the rule of the two and one of the two siths was just the enforcer known as Vader a jedi killer. The best Batman could do is make inferences similar to Thrawn and Tarkin the only problem is Batman doesn't know Anakin and the only people who he could interrogate are people who knew him. Ashoka (later on), Grand Inquistor (who in all likelihood knew Darth Vader was Anakin), Reva, Obi Wan, Yoda, Thrawn & Tarkin (speculative knowledge of Vaders identity) finding or even getting close enough to those people would be impossible. All Batman could do is just find a way to observe Vader in a fight or research force abilities and knowledge and understand Vader is a Jedi slayer/hunter/killer try understanding why Vader operates the way he does. He would know Vader is relatively really strong in the force due to his kill rate of powerful Jedis. Him gaining Vader background is not happening. The emperor nor Vader would never let anyone know who he is. The best bet is Reva who would be a recluse similar to Obi Wan and Yoda due to her hiding from the empire but she would be easier to find out of the three.

Any murderer is pure evil, and that’s just one murder, Anakin has killed thousands, even younglings. Anakin gets no sympathy.

He's gotten hit by lightning and no issues, he's had his suit shut down and Still won, had his suit broken beyond repair and used the force to stay alive

I kinda agree, Batman has a solid plan but Vader known for exceeding expectations. I believe Bats would be able to shutdown the suit, but then Vader will just Force puppet himself to keep fighting. And yeah Luke was the redeemer, so I don’t think Bats will talk him out of it, cuz he’s never killed a youngling

@@slitheringsnake229 I think that the idea of the chair is based on the access at the same time of all existing realities (probably that is why it was said that you had to have a strong mind or a high intellect so that the mind does not collapse into madness), and perhaps visions of the past and the future as well (since the god who is its original user has been seen making plans and setting traps through time travel, taking into account events at different points in time), but things that have not happened (hypothetical things) should not be able to be given by the chair automatically. Knowledge is what exists, the other would be divination. At least that's my interpretation.

@@magicyber909 Ironically I think Batman would be one of the best characters to fight Thrawn. Better (or worse depending on your perspective) than most of Thrawn's usual matchups. Because ultimately Batman does not have an army or navy or nation for Thrawn to do battle against. They operate on different layers so to speak. Thrawn thrives on the strategic level deploying vast forces and deciding the fates of nations whereas Batman works as an operative that has great personal skill and power in personal combat. If Thrawn knew Batman was coming. (Or at least had figured out *somebody* was undermining him) Then it would ultimately come down to "Does Batman defeat whatever operatives Thrawn has brought into his service or does whatever group of operatives Thrawn have prevail?" Which is far from an unwinnable fight for Batman. Being that he is sort of the ultimate commando.

is contingency appropriate word for Darth Vader? Because those plans usually refer to stopping people if they turn evil. But Darth Vader is already a villain

@@jetguy128yeah but you can still have contingencies for bad things. Like he is evil, but he’s not an immediate threat. So it’s good to have a contingency in case of a surprise attack from one of these beings. Much like how we can have contingencies for natural disasters. Many of which are unlikely, but it’s good to develop plans in case.

Superman would be hilariously overkill for Vader. Even the stupid versions of the character, like the one from that one comic book that had him solo an entire army, just get absolutely annihilated by even fairly weak versions of Clark. Like, seriously, you don't call Supes as a contingency for Vader. You call Supes as a contingency for the Death Star.

There's a plethora of lightsaber resistant materials in the Star Wars universe that Batman could locate and integrate into a special Batsuit to combat Vader's lightsaber. There's also many strong metals and other materials that could square up to a lightsaber in the DC universe.

All you have to do with the gargoyle Goliath is just wait him out till sun rise when he turns to stone then smash him to bits and pieces with a sledgehammer or even a spiked clubbed mace.

With demona just smash one stoned up gargoyle a day and let demona know you did it while in her human form only then surround her on all sides with angry bullets closing in on her out in open flat ground where there will be no place for her to retreat to or hide or fly. Aim for her wings too if that will be the case. Ya know just clip her wings. Using only armor piercing bullets because the gargoyles do have the strength of stone.

With Goliath all ya have to do is wait till sun up then when he turns to stone you just have to smash him to bits and pieces with either a sledgehammer or a spiked clubbed mace.

@@ScottieMcDowell Forgot about Bat's (admittedly, relatively loose nowadays but I'm assuming main DC canon and not Silver Age or DCU stuff) no-killing policy? Admittedly, though, discovering her human identity and going after her during the day is more than enough to bring her down -- she might have a thousand years of combat experience, but she has that experience as a Gargoyle, when she an Eliza throw down as humans standard early-90s NYPC cop training took her out, and the show's shown that it's surprisingly easy to catch her off-guard without access to any of the tech she's learned to use -- tech that Batman has answers for already, frankly. I mean, I'd like to give it to the gargoyles, but his best option for restraining them is stealing them from the ramparts of Castle Wyvern during the day and developing sturdy enough prisons to hold them -- something that would put Batman in _Xanatos'_ sights, someone who could potentially match him mentally. Despite that, he also has high-powered battlesuits capable of taking on Kryptonians 1-to-1, which I'm pretty sure are more than a few weight classes against our stone friends, so he'd still have a solid chance at night if he stuck to his normal 'predator stealth' approach, avoided the castle, and avoided fighting more than one or two of them at a time. As a final note, I know I threw Xanatos in there, and we can ignore that if the idea is that he somehow never gets involved, but I'm inclined to account for their on-hand allies considering how close-knit they are by the end of the series. Specifically Xanatos, Fox, Owen, and (yes) Alex. They share a building, Xanatos doesn't like competition, Fox is a badass in her own right, Owen is freaking Puck, and the very possibility of Alex being at risk will probably make Lexington way more dangerous than he'd be otherwise, and he's already a huge threat to begin with even if he seems to be the 'weakest' of the clan. I'm kind of sweeping Eliza under the rug, but that's because in a surprise encounter (which Batman would definitely orchestrate) she's almost guaranteed to be tied up with her actual night job. @tgtterrorizor3407 I know. It's a double-edged sword. The toxin-induced fear can make him even more angry, which in turn would make him even more powerful as a Sith. But as shown in revenge of the sith, he can still be blinded by anger in combat. Also, his lightsaber skills and mobility are much more limited as Vader due to him being mostly machine. The comics state that he struggled for a long time to learn to walk again. With a force-proofed suit and the custom-made fear toxin, Batman should be able to attack Vader up close even if his suit limits his mobility. In Return of the Jedi, Vader was unable to keep up with Luke as the latter became more aggressive. However, Batman would have to move in fast once the toxin begins to take its toll and before it drives Vader into anger. A real juggling act, indeed. It would also make sense to seize and immediately destroy Vader's lightsaber upon being in close range.

I am not so sure that scarecrows fear toxin would be all that effective as you might know remember the words of yoda and obiwan who coincidentally trained darth Vader the words(trust in the force don’t let the tricks fool you).
