7 years ago, I was working graveyard shift in a warehouse in the industrial park of a small town near where I live. One night, about 8 months after I was hired, I was kind of working by myself and suddenly, my boss came up to me to let me know we got a new member of the team and there was a woman right beside him. I looked at her and she was very gorgeous and attractive. My boss introduced her to me. Her name was Kirstie. My boss told me to show her what we do and how the equipment works and showed her how we work in the area. She and I got along very well, then after a month or so, we became really good friends. But some time afterwards, she announced to our team she was pregnant and we congratulated her. But one night during her leave, I went home after my shift was over, I got a call from one of my coworkers with some heartbreaking news. Kirstie went into labor, but they had to do a c section. The doctors were able to save the baby, but Kirstie didn't make it. She died during the c section surgery. It turned into a morning of heartache for all of us. They played this song at her memorial. And even to this day, I still think of her when I hear this song. Her fiance and the baby moved away and I haven't seen them since and I'm hoping they're doing okay. I did'nt go to the burial, cause after seeing her lying in the coffin, I was just torn up, my friend Amy and I just left once the memorial ceremony was over. Amy too was wounded of Kirstie's passing. I will always remember you Kirstie. I miss you. RIP🙏
funny thing,@@Facade953 - I'm pretty sure it didn't! Most of the music from the Batman Sountrack didn't actually feature in the movie (unless it was the actual OST). It was music that "inspired" scenes etc. Not all songs made it into the movie though.
I was 16 years old when this came out in 1995... bought this on cassette so I could listen on my walkman with first love... one earphone for us each on the walk home. She passed on a couple of years later and I still keep that cassette in her honour... this was her favourite song, and I haven't heard it since her funeral in about 17 years. Thank you so much for the reminder =)
+David Maglioli thanks for asking David, yes, it's over half my life time ago now (I'm 37) and I have got a great partner. I do visit her grave most years on her birthday and run into her father, he's well into his 70's now and has never really recovered. I think it means a lot to him that I still keep her memory alive.
+FADE_FROM_VIEW I'm glad to here that, I'm still searching, for mine, it sucks sometimes, but I'm glad to hear you've recovered. Shame about her father though.
This was my third cd I ever bought, back in the 90s, in small town in north Greece...I will never stop tryin to be this young boy who believes that nobody lives without love...
1995 was the best summer of my 10 year old life. Nirvana, Silverchair, Offspring, Green Day, Everclear, and Batman Forever. I loved the soundtrack then and still today and saw the movie that summer. So many memories. Everytime I put this on it's an instant nostalgia trip!
I used to listen to the Batman Forever soundtrack regularly and I still love listening to it now it reminds me of the happiest time and year of my life back in 2012 - 2013 and I suffered a nervous breakdown in the summer of 2013 when a very very beautiful girl blocked me on Facebook and I have never really been the same since my breakdown. Two other very very beautiful girls also blocked me on Facebook.
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard in my life. I send it to all the dark, soulless aholes I've ever met... may love save them
I heard this song when I was 12. Never forgotten it. I remember listening to it when I was walking around in Chicago when I was 15 in 2005. Good memories.
You are old thats why you feel old. Dont worry though your not alone. I have the same experience with the "damn kids" when i recount my days in Iraq back in 2005-2006 and the kids realize they were like 5 years old at the time.
I graduated from high school when this came out. Listened to this album countless times, and this was one of my favorite songs. I really miss those times.
I thank you for the comments, and I tell you that these songs will be transposed directly from my CD of the movie. I thought the movie was bad, but love the soundtrack. And buy the CD thanks to the songs of U2 and Seal that I was englobed by Mtv at the time. Once again, thank you and I greet you from Argentina.
One of the beautiful songs on the album. The years pass quickly. In a dim light, I am talking about the past and our memories with my wife, accompanied by this song.
1995...that means I was 7 at that time this came out, wow! The movie didn't really catch my interest after the Burton films, however I remember still having this CD when I was in high school back in the early 2000's. "Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me" was my initial favorite alongside "There is a Light" and "Smash it Up" (love the rock), and I usually skipped over this one entirely deeming it too slow for my taste. Now, I couldn't tell you precisely when I decided to actually stop and listen to it, but I do remember thinking there was something about it. It's soothing in a way to me, like being in water or seeing different shades of blue. It's funny, I thought of this one out of the blue the other day when I was going over old songs I want to add to a growing 90's playlist. This one is definitely being added. Thank you for sharing it here, and reminding me just how amazing it is to hear it after all this time. We have the CD here still (least, I hope so); gonna have to go find mine now so I can copy the files--it's been too long!
Christina Wolfe-You should check out the rest of Eddi Reader's work, she's really talented though her work's usually very different to this, much more folk based. She's a big name here in my home country of Scotland so I've grown up on her music. I've even seen her perform live 4 times as my dad's a huge fan of hers, she has an amazing voice.
Check out this album's version of The hunter gets captured by the game ( originally performed by The Marvellettes in the '60s ).... hauntingly beautiful and seductive 😎🤘
Eddie Reader 👩🏫 sounds amazing as ever l played this by mistake and immediately recognised her beautiful voice seen her many time a very talented and funny Glasgow woman ! 💯 % Perfect 👍
Never liked this movie, but I always loved the soundtrack. Funny how things turn out that way. But yeah, this was and still is one of my favorite songs from this soundtrack.
I was 15 going16 the time when the movie came out and own love the cd soundtrack. The song is always a constant memory in my mind always this song will always haunt me always. My sister passed away from the virus last year from the virus and playing the song for her in her memory. I miss you Carissa and I'm totally very sorry until we meet again. I do miss you and I'm sorry.😢😞
For steven harrold ❤ im still here for you, me and us. You have greatly melted my cold heart. You truly mean so much to me. I used to think that love was just the movies and make believe but sense ive met you and gotten to know you for almost 2 years, my heart started to open more and more and i just couldn't hold back. You are my true one and only steven c harrold ❤
It's a beatiful song, but I think that this song was better if Batman was played by Michael Keaton. I think this song is tuned with Michael Keaton's Batman incarnation. Keaton's Batman incarnation thinks that bacause he's Batman, he cannot have love, bacause if he has a woman who loves him, she could be in danger.
I'd argue it's fitting for Kilmer's as well. The whole movie he's struggling with the duality of his two personas and almost quits being Batman to be with Chase.
For me this soundtrack is synonymous with Mario 64 mainly because I would listen to it while playing it. This song in particular went well with the ending.
What if tim Burton did 3 Batman movie trilogy and what if Christopher Nolan had the joker played by John Lithgow and what if the riddler for tim Burton played by Johnny Depp and Robin played by Joseph Gordon -levitt and what if the riddler in the dark knight rises movie played by Hugh Laurie
Loved this song since I was 11. Summer '95, before my 6th grade year. So, I covered it...20 years later. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D3zrfIntD-k.html
Danny 'Day wow you werre same age as me when it came out. So weird and cool how lots of people can share the same kind of feelings and nostalgia for things like this.
Could anyone tell me where does this song play at in Batman Forever movie? I watched the whole movie and I can't find this song in it, although this song is in the movie.
I'm not an action movie or comic book fan. With that said I think the Dark Knight is one boring dull movie that goes on for 55 minutes too long. I don't remember Batman Forever but I love this song. Wish I could back to 1995 and change every decision I made.
