That is one great looking sculpt of Batman on the rooftop. This kind of base is how I envisioned a Frank Miller type of Batman to be displayed on, or on a fire escape as well. Don't know about the inspiration for this beautifully sculpted piece but that Steampunk design on his costume, Cape, and cowl takes it to whole other level. Especially the portraits of him with the goggles and the one where you could actually see his eyes. Incredible rendition and details on this sculpt. Fantastic piece and congrats on your purchase and quick delivery. Thanks for sharing with us, please take care and stay safe.
Excellent! If I had the space and not so much on pre-order already I’d possibly get this. Great details- that Goggle portrait is certainly the best! Cool expression and very steampunk.
Dead cool statue from a dead cool, ethereal, Batman tale. Very Steampunk via Heath Robinson meets Dickensian Victoriana! I have the Kotobukiya Batman: Gotham by Gaslight piece which is equally as good, especially as I added a custom paint job to the base. My only gripe would be the smoke as It looks more like bed sheets billowing on a washing line.
Very nice piece. Great details. Although the smoke’s color is off. Scale is not one I collect and the storyline is not one I’m familiar with, so it’s a pass for me. But congrats to all that are picking this up. Hope the price point is fair given the scale.
Do we know the scale? On P1 website it states 23 inches tall and also says its 1/5th scale. But in this video the guy says its 18 inches tall. I wish someone would confirm the height and scale of the statue. I would buy it if its a true 1/5th scale piece but anything smaller and its a pass for me.
Ughhh that cape does stick out a lot for me, I wonder if a hot gun will allow it to be position lower, I always find with statues that are keepers you can do whatever you want and I think if I get this one he will be a keeper, nice review and thanks for the cape info, what’s the statue in the unit behind him the woman ?
