From the 1966 tv series: Batman and Robin caught in a net, coated with sticky stuff so they can't move, then strapped to turbines to be spun to death by the Riddler.
That was the most sick and bizarre laugh Frank Gorshin ever did when he can't hold it in and just goes bezerk at the end. Don't think he did that laugh in any other episode.
Frank Gorshin had such fine control on the Riddler's hysteria. He knew just how and when to turn the dial on the character's mania. That he could also nearly get out a whole soliloquy on one breath demonstrates his discipline as an actor and comedian. Nobody does the Riddler like Gorshin.
M Stephens Oh yes, I remember the John Astin Riddler episodes. The man's a good actor. But he really never should have been cast as a fill-in for Frank Gorshin. He just didn't have a lock on the character and was just wrong for the part. Fact is, Gorshin owned the Riddler. Still does.
M Stephens - I read that the reason Gorshin didn't play the role of the Riddle on the second season was because he wanted more money since The Joker and The Penguin were paid about the same yet his salary was less. So, the producers found Astin and offered him the role which he agreed to play. But , he wasn't a good Riddler at all. Gorshin was the best. If you notice, Gorshin did appear again in season 3 because his salary was increased!
i saw this last time in 1969 or 1970 on black and white tv. Practically the only definite thing I can remember about watching the series when I was a kid. I remember it was a two part cliff-hanger with the dynamic duo in the spin cycle as the episode ended. Haven't seen it in 52? years,
The villains probably tied Batman and Robin one at a time to their respective wheels. They were first hoisted upside down by their ankles as they wriggled in their cocoons. The bad guys first tied one ankle to the wheel, and then spread the helpless hero's legs open to just the right amount of accessibility for curious hands and mouths before tying the other. With each hero still hanging helpless, it would then be no trouble at all to manhandle the crusaders when it came time to tie their wrists to the wheels. The only reason they're wearing blindfolds is because they all took turns doing guard shift, and Batman and Robin's bodies and costumes were the villains'--to anonymously caress, cup, and lick as they pleased. And you can bet that at least one of the rats wore a wig to convince a crusader that he was actually Riddler's moll while blow jobs were administered. (The hair of the wig would brush against Batman's and/or Robin's silky pantyhose.)
i would love to see the duo actually being tied up. not just in this one but so many others. being staked to the ground by shane's posse, tied to the heat reflectors on the roof by catwoman's goons, batman strapped to a mattress by sandman's flunkies, and robin tied down on the printing press by joker's robot henchmen. these and so much other great bondage footage we never see. just that spinning bat logo. somewhere there must be an outtake reel of batman bondage. the human knot with batgirl is probably very hot. stunt people contorting the trio. hands all over their tights. mmmm
I've always said the same. I'd love to see Riddler's goons strapping Batman and Robin to the wheels. We'd might see Batman give a little resistance against many hands as they strap him down. Same goes for Sandman's mattress trap and many others.
Yes...I wish they would have shown the act of tying them up and the manipulation of their bodies. Also did they threaten robin to make batman more subservient as they tie him to the wheel
Love how they squirm and struggle in the netting as they are being pulled away...and then seeing the henchmen working on them when they stop being dragged
Goodness, that spiderweb looked extremely powerful. It must have compressed itself more tightly after the villains had it sprayed so that it would make it even tougher for our poor heroes to struggle against it. What amazing suspense from this classic show.
@@talkisbdc, well, it is the story of domination. Maybe you knew a girl at school whom you liked, and maybe you thought about her trying to capture you, too, in a similar way.
@@sanzl164 I know...the confidence level is pretty high when they are trying to capture the criminals, but underestimate their diabolical nature and the numbers game of the henchmen
So, out of curiosity, I played this scene while playing "Kronos Unveiled" from The Incredibles soundtrack in another tab and HOLY CRAP. It makes Frank Gorshin's already incredible performance goes from whimsically creepy to downright terrifying.
@bevelaca You're absolutely right. Martyrdom of a hero just doesn't sit well with some villains. The Riddler, for instance, takes joy in trying to outwit the world's greatest detective, Batman, except in this case and a few others.
This is by far the kinkiest and horniest Battrap - the duo spreadeagled with the Riddler taunting them....and the growing stiffys in their pants.......hmmmmmm
@@sanzl164 oh yeah. i always imagined they both did every time they were tied up. sometimes it was obvious like when they're tied under giant magnifying glasses. watch robin start grinding as soon as catwoman turns to leave.then batman starts going,and by the time the scene ends they're both trying hard to get that last nut before they die or escape.
Lol! I remember watching this when I was about 8-10 years old and didn't notice something. I find this show late at night once in a while now and I noticed that Batman seems to be aroused-the first time I noticed it was when Batman was in one of Catwoman's traps. I did read that Adam West was well-endowed and the producers did what they could to cover up his bulge. Adam West did complain that whatever they did was uncomfortable and should have concentrated more on improving the costumes. Even the Riddler has a bulge that is similar to the bulges male Ballerinas have. OF Topic-the Riddle was my favorite villain and was disappointed when they had Gomez Adams playing him one time. The producers should have had put John Astin in a different role-other than the Riddler-he may have had more roles.
Lois Ryan , odd. Costume makers often do have and implement devices or paddings to smooth out those areas so as not to be too distracting to the viewers.
I've always thought of The Riddler as being very psychotic of all the villains. Even his laughter was so cruel. I guess that's what made him so interesting and in my opinion only Frank Gorshin could do the best Riddler ever, no doubt!
NARRATOR' IS THIS THE DEMISE OF THE DYNAMIC DUO? HAS THE RIDDLER REALLY TERMINATED THE LIVES OF THE CAPED CRUSADERS? CAN BATMAN THINK OF A WAY OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE? OR WILL THE R IDDLER ACTUALLY SUCCEED IN PLAN TO ELIMINATE BATMAN PERMINATLY?
Would have been great had they talked to each other while struggling in the netting about seeing if one could get a tool from their belt to get free...and then the riddler say 'no you won't dynamic duo' with one of the henchmen then sedating them with knockout Gas as they struggle in the net
@@sanzl164 too bad chloroform wasn't used to a good extent then...if he gives some resistance, he would get clothed and have him hover in semi-conciousness as he is being tied up
