after so many times of finishing the game, after all those times i've watched the ending, i'm now just realizing what the fear toxin did to bruce, joker, and the batman. Bruce's fear is the joker taking over his body. The joker won against bruce, a mere human. But crane injects another round of fear toxin. now it's time for joker's fears. The bat, and to be forgotten. The bat won that one and took over the body. Then crane injects another round of toxin. But the batman has no fear. bruce is human, the batman is an idea. invulnerable, fearless.
@@mostafamansour2495 to explain Bruce has always been batman, but the thing is, he considers batman not as just a disguise, but his own personal different persona. It's like 2 minds in one body. They always say batman was born and Bruce Wayne died, but it's the opposite, they both lived, but batman was just a younger version, and was born from the shooting. One born with no fear. To explain what was happening in this game. Bruce was slowly turning into joker and the fear toxin accelerated the process. This was making him have 3 minds instead of the original 2. When you see him get injected the first time, Bruce had already died at that moment, becuase his greatest fear was joker coming back. This was the event when he was replaced by joker, hence why he showed up and started laughing, because joker had fully manifested in Bruce's body. But when joker was injected by the toxin himself, his greatest fear was to be forgotten by the one person who wanted to make sure he was gone, and that was batman. Hence why he showed up and was able to lock him up for good, as jokers fear won out and all that was left in Bruce's body was none other then batman himself. Which was why even when he was injected himself, he wasn't afraid, because he has no fear anymore cause Bruce was gone, dead, and replaced by batman.
Fun fact: he’s actually immune to his own toxin because he lost the sense of fear, so instead he inflicts fear on others to satisfy him. But scarecrow couldn’t comprehend how a normal human had no reaction to his toxin. So he developed a fear for Batman right then and their which made him vulnerable to his own toxin.
the sad part is the batfleck movie sounded incredible, like dark knight levels of amazing. However the studio kept interfering and eventually Ben Affleck lost interest
@@topdog362 yeah I thought it was rly fun to use but they used it for everything. I was hoping for more hand to hand combat in the missions instead of it all being batmobile
I like to think he had his suspicions regarding Batman's identity and who might possibly be under that mask. Jason saying it out loud would be more like confirmation in that case.
I have to disagree. It doesn't look like an armor or high tech enough for my tastes. But worst of all it looks like some sort of weave/fiber and so every time I look at it, it looks like a full body sweater.
I don't have a problem with what you just said ... Fair enough is a more comic like look ... Tastes are just tastes ... My three favorites suits are 1 batman begins ... 2 arkham knight 3 batman returns
@@projectblitz7290 But that's the thing, it doesn't have to be an armor or even high tech. It's imaginary, Alex Ross has said that what made these characters appealing in the first place is the raw shape of the human figure, suits were treated as paint over skin, it doesn't need to stop a bullet, it's fiction. Aesthetics over practicality any day.
Nothing Beats the moment where you see a red laser on Cranes gun, it gets shot with the music cue and it shows Jason there. He finds out Bruce is in trouble, tracks him down, then just disarms crane and frees Bruce. It’s just such a powerful moment to me after all he’s been through
I actually like the idea of Joker lying to Batman about killing Jason. As now you can keep the story grounded and avoid the Lazarus pit. It also makes sense Joker would play this joke on Batman
Grounded and DC go about as well together as an oil spill and the ocean. As well may I note the same game that has you directly interact with a Lazarus font.
Batman: "Who are you?" Arkham Knight: "You really have no idea, do you Bruce. Behind this mask..." Jim/Tim/Barbara: "Behind that mask..." Arkham Knight: "Is another mask, pretty cool huh!"
@WiiManElite and anyone who didn't know or isn't massive on comics knew straight away when jason was shown being tortured, for what it's worth I think its a good story and good take on the jason todd red hood story but as far as twists go and rocksteady acting like he's a new character was pretty lame
WiiManElite I didn’t know. I knew about Jason Todd, but only about his death by the hands of Joker from the comics. If I had known about Red Hood, I would’ve figured it out.
man what an absolutely terrific game, i grew up with the arkham series and i must say its been an absolute dream to play these games. I will always cherish the memories and many more memories to be made. As my favourite and greatest hero I know gotham had the hero it needed and now she needs a new myth. Thank you for fulfilling my heart batman.
Scarecrow just wrapped the ropes around her hands, made it believable......cus she actually was in on the plan to sabotage Batman.....New game: Revenge of Oracle hahahahahhaha
I know this game couldn´t hold up to it´s predecessors, especially City, but that ending was great. When Wayne and the Joker "died" and only Batman was left i got chills. Completely devoid of fear or even anger and pure stoicism. They really nailed that.
@@ironmatto3 I’d say City is their best. This had potential but the obvious Jason Todd reveal and the Batmobile over use did hurt it for me abit. City was just perfect all around
City was the best for everything, Origins for the villain appearances, Asylum for the predator with Joker’s funny mocking, and this, well, combat, graphics, large city, etc but i just like the arkham knight costume.
@@makisbizarreadventure4669city was great, but to call it perfect? Talia just giving up to Joker just to "kill" him after? I repeat, City was great, but this is a plot hole as big as Manhattan. Ok, one could say she did it to make batman care for her, but still, it's one hell of a plot hole
The Deathstroke Battle in Origins is how i would have hoped the fighting would go against Jason and even Deathstroke again( wasted him for a stupid tank fight)
that constant influence, the voice of The Joker, it is so hard to fall into his voice. I can't imagine who else can pull it off other than Batman. He is really more than meets the eye. Other Justice League members just succumb to the Joker. And this guy, driven by the sole purpose of justice, with his only powers are Loyalty, Determination, Money, Scary figure (out of which even money and loyalty were taken away from him) he saves the day. The favorite badass character ever.
Batman isnt driven by justice, hes driven by ego.....Its always foreigners who look up to stupid nonsensical comic characters. Batman has responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people due to his reluctance to kill the joker and other criminals. Every time the joker breaks out of jail, he kills people. Batman not killing him means HE is responsible for those people's deaths. Its a childish egotistical mentality.
I think that whole dark bat spectre thing is accomplished by using his former enemies equipment. Some fear toxin for effect, some inspiration from jokers DNA sequencing for long lasting binding to the subjects cells, and the mad hatters tech for precision control and activation of whatever mental stimuli the dormant formula is bound to. If I'm not entirely mistaken, using such methods to invoke this specific reaction in a criminals brain enough times would probably make it automatic whenever they see the new batsuit
The ending just screams how much Batman and Joker NEED each other. I didn’t get it at first but I finally get it. They literally need each other. They thrive off each other. They acknowledge and “fear”one another for different reasons. It’s so perfect.
No, you didn't understand the ending in the slightest. Batman defeats Joker by realizing he DOESN'T need the Joker anymore to be a part of himself. "You'll be forgotten Joker, because of ME!"
Arkham Knight is literally the best game I have ever played. Every gameplay element from previous Arkham games elevated to perfection and then some. Arkham Knight's combat is an industry class melee based combat system with a lot of permutations and combinations. I challenge anyone to complete the game by spamming a triangle. It's impossible. Do you know why?? Because there are different enemy types. There's an enemy with shields, enemies with electric batons, enemies with electricity running through their body, enemies with knife, medics brutes etc. and all these enemies require a specific move set to defeat them. Also, contrary to what a lot of people said, Batmobile is just 20-25 percent of the whole game and not 50 percent. People who claim tank combat is 50 percent suck at math. There are videos on RU-vid that confirm this. The story is literally awesome. Give me a Batman story where Batman is trying to resolve his personal struggle over a court of owls story anyday. Arkham knight was also much darker and grittier than any other game. The ending felt so satisfying. People thought Batman died a heroic death and the way Batman conquered his fears at the end. And I am so glad that focus wasn't on the Batfamily but Batman. After all, the tagline of the game was "Be the Batman" not "Be the Batfamily".
the chad arkham knight: mysterious, cool suit, amazing antagonist the virgin red hood: literally everybody knows who he is, his suit is the most generic suit ever, a whiny teenager with abandonment issues
After a minute or so, I literally forgot that I was watching a gameplay and thought this was the batfleck movie. And that ending scene was just..........🤯🤯🤯🤯
13:48 that's why you can't control batman, you think his greatest fears are being betrayed by his friends and failing to save gotham when in actuality it's becoming an merciless psychotic murderer
@@matthewjordan3691 You never hurt him in any real way in game before his fight. The one time you do a beatdown on his face, it's an illusion. Besides, Red Hood is just as much of a disguise as Arkham Knight, which makes this whole thing even dumber. Just an attempt to trip up fans that knew better anyways.
@@user1point0 I think you are a part of minority. There couldn't be no better moment to reveal his identity but towards the ending. It doesn't make sense that he would his identity would be revealed before. Bruce and Jason were playing cat and mouse throughout the whole game.
never really noticed how unrealistic some of this speech was jason:you left me to rot in that abandoned wing of arkham over over a year with him.. batman:its not to late we can fix this together jason:what who said i wanted to fix anything and especially with you did you not just hear me? i got a ton of men and tanks to come shoot you down all over gotham and you think im just going to say wow i get my job back lets do it again?
The Batfleck suit made the scene very interesting because we can see some references about Jason Todd's death in Batman V Superman (the scene where Bruce is looking at a Robin suit with Joker quote "Ha ha! Joke's on you, Batman" written with yellow ink on it)
Its actually really cool seing the Ben Affleck suit here since it fits the story of that universe in a way. There Jason was "killed" by Joker and here he has come back as a villian. It almost feels like i am watching a Ben Affleck batman sequel.
'Prepare the knightfall protocol.' It needs voice cinfirmation. 'Martha' Not once you can hear him sad, but when he says that it gave me so the chills and goosbumps.
37:09 That's the most beautiful and special thing Batman Arkham Knight brought! Because the missions were even more boring and repetitive than both of the previous Arkham Games!
Now the storyline in this VideoGame of (BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT) it shows certain aspects of (Jason Todd) & what he felt emotionally, not only that when he discovers that (Bruce Wayne) killed himself, and it also showed his expression on how he genuinely felt about it. And so I think with all these facts it makes sense that he goes from wrong doer, to BountyHunter, and then to becoming (Nightmare Batman).
He beat the fuck out of Joker! LMAO And after the asswhupin Joker screams at BatMan "I Need You"! LMAO Wtf!! LOL Talk about Joker being gay and liking hardcore sex - Bats, I need you, come back and whip my ass some more! LMAO
The Arkham knight should’ve been a completely different character ark. We should’ve gotten red hood as the main villain. Just imagine we start the game off with a crime scene with criminals mangled and you get jumped by Jason. I don’t mind the Arkham knight but I feel like red hood would’ve been more special.
You know what would have been better, if Arkham Knight was the child of one the many criminals batman has locked up. He lost his father to the caped crusader, instilling within him hatred and resentment. For years he has studied the Batman, learnt everything he could about him. He created a suit which would demonise the legacy of the Batman and created his own militia to hunt him down. He goes after everyone Batman loves. Maybe he figures out Bruce’s identity. Arkham Knight is now a monster of Bruce’s own making, and the thing is, there might be thousands of children just like him out there
I actually like the Arkham Knight’s portrayal, it’s sort of a good prototype of the Red Hood. I mean, I would be pissed too if I was left with a psychopathic clown for a year (or 6 months), but then he lets his hatred for Bruce go and continues his legacy (in a bad way).
@@mikephelps9238 see and there’s where it ends I lowkey wanted more outta knight. Don’t get me wrong knight is such a fun game I’m playing it rn for the 5th time. But still I wish Jason’s story had more to it.
OMG, Jason Todd is so emotional, he thinks Batman replaced him, Jason Todd was kidnapped by The Joker and he supposed to be dead then he created the militia and want revenge against Batman
