"Damien steals jason todd suit and leave the bat cave" He stole jason todd suit...the angry robin stole the other angry robin suit..... Yeah sound about right
I just have to say, I've lost a child& I would move heaven& earth for just one more day with them. This story had me bawling my eyes out. Thanks, Benny, for giving me this time to grieve & know that batman would do& did do the exact same thing as I would have done. I love you guys.. Your stories keep me going during my darkest days.
@@syeak thank you. Sometimes a comic or book or even a person will remind me of him& it's hard to let it go cause I can't ever let go. This story is a personification of a father's undying love for a son& it resonated so strong with me. Thank you for you support. It means alot to me.
"You took my son from me; I will show you defeat!" Damn, that is possibly the last thing that you would want to hear coming from the Dark Knight. What a great storyline.
He's my favorite comic book character, he's so interesting and he evolves greatly in the span of time. I hate it when writers ignore all the progress he made and transform him back into an spoiled brat.
The teen titans run pissed me off. Well the second half with the new roster. Literally ignores all the things Tomasi did to make Damian grow as a character.
@Kermit Peanut WTF is this suppose to mean ? Your speaking like spaz. I'm not even talking about batman. I've probably read more comic than you . I bet your one of those fucks who only read the injustice comics .
I hate the way they portray Damien in Injustice and the Animated movies as this forever edgelord speaking like he's from Victorian England obsessed with killing people that worships Raz'alghul. The comics version is 100x better especially his relationship with the other robins
Daddy Dagoth I mean you have to relize that injustice is injustice it’s so posed to be different and in the Animated movies his relationship gets better throughout them.
@@DagothDaddy Damiens always been an arrogant posh spoken little edgelord twat. Did you not notice he calls Bruce "Father" instead of "Dad" in the comics? He looks down on everyone and it isn't just in Injustice or animated stuff, he's still like that to this very day in the main line comics. Just look at his condescending attitude towards Jonathon in the SuperSons series, or the way he deals with Kid Flash during Lazarus Contract, first casually killing original past Wally then firing N52 Wally. If you hate that portrayal then you hate EVERY portrayal of Damien because that IS his personality... you just don't see it as much with these videos because he edits out most of the dialogue. You'd need to actually read the comics to know these things 😉
Whats important part's missing? He's just out and about hanging with a bud? Even if his bud is an undead misunderstood monster made from a patchwork of various human parts? Lol nope... totally normal. Nothing missing there.
I don't remember the name of Frankensteins group but they got involved because they were dealing with loads of Man-Bats, as supernatural monsters are their speciality and Man-Bat isn't much different from a Dracula variant.
People wonder why Damian is my favourite Robin. I point them to this. I remember reading the whole saga, from Batman and Son to Robin Rises. Damians death and return had me in tears
He’s my favorite Robin to, I favored him as Robin after finishing the new 52 Batman and Robin run. I’ll admit, batman going through hell to get Damian Wayne back, no matter how stubborn or grim he was, made me a little teary eyed, I know that there’s fathers out there that would do what Batman did if it meant getting there son back, and just because Damian Wayne was hot headed didn’t mean he could change in the future, it just took time
Honestly man could you imagine! Seeing Batman fighting his way through Apokolips in the hellbat on screen in the manner of an 80s movie like diehard mixed with Taken? Hearing Batman give Liam Neesons speech to Godfrey, “ I will find you and kill you. I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM BATMAN”!
That's...actually not a bad idea. A superhero learning about all of their origin stories (including their alternative selves origin stories) and ends up coming across an event which forces that character to sacrifice themselves to stop a bigger threat, which would erase them from existence would be interesting in my opinion. When everyone thought it was all over, another story begins. Another origin story of that character. But this time. It's their final origin story. So if that character dies in that story, that character is gone for good. No more origins, no more reboots, no more of that superhero period. What do you think?
That one sucked. He should cover the Batman Beyond story where Damian has become the leader of the league beats the crap out of terry then saves terry and bruce.
I remember Damian wayne robin becoming a superboy that was weird and confusing but i was happy to see him reference that when he talked about it in Super sons with Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy that was really cute and adorable :).
MoonDust I think it was issue 10 of the super sons series that’s when Damian told jon kent superboy about himself having powers that’s my best guess or maybe it was in Peter j tomasi Superman series when Jon and Damian first meet each other for the first time those are my best options I could be wrong about that but I highly recommend check both super sons and peter j tomasi Superman run because both series were really great in my book.
@@TipeneThorner Red Hood was Batfamily enough to put on a Robin themed uniform and get his little brother's body back Although I think it has a lot to do with Jason being the first Robin to die and he probably feels connected to Damian through that shared experience
@@anaisabelpais7389 I never said he wasnt Batfamily, i said due to his wanting to be independent hes more adjacent. They only bring Todd in to the batfamily for major events
Ngl if I was Jason I'd be feeling some type of way about the lengths Batman went to get Damien back but he didn't show nearly enough enthusiasm for him when he died... still really touching though, poor jason
Yeah, I agree. Only, the fact that Bruce told Jason not to pursue the Joker until he came back but Jason went to the warehouse anyway. Also, Bruce should’ve had Jason come along with him to hijack the vehicles because, I don’t know if he really thought that he wasn’t going to do anything because after all, his mother was in that warehouse. Bruce should’ve expected it seeing as Jason is the loving, caring, hothead of the family, and doesn’t care about boundaries. Basically, It was all Bruce’s fault for Jason’s death because he didn’t give him the proper mental training that was needed in order to suit up as Robin.
Yeah, that was purely a writing choice and because of the one guy who called in so many times to get Robin killed I’m pretty sure it came out as someone had literally like had it set up just to automatically call over and over and over again just to kill a small child in a comic book 😂😂😂
I love the Hellbat armor it was really awesome and badass heck when the hellbat armor came back in Superman rebirth series with Lois Lane wearing the armor to protect her son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy against the eradicator was really awesome and badass
The robin rises arc is one of my favorit arcs because we see batman going toe on toe with darkseid and see how much batman is willing to save his family even if that means going straight up to hell itself.
Yes please. I loved that batman does show compassion. That he is human. That for once something dear to him made him sacrificed himself to save his very own son. It shows the fatherly love only a father would do for his kids.
Yeah like following dick grayson into finding the killer of batman and how all of them have to deal with their ranks personal issues against Bruce and good memories or the strict side of their father while planning his funeral and all of them full of regreats
From my most hated character (cause injustice series) and becoming my favorited character after batman after watching some of his animated movie and comic series.
ZombiFelineTuba Plays i don’t believe they clarified. Probably, but Talia’s in life the show as well so. Maybe Damian was around as a baby, but he wasn’t prevalent to the show, so they didn’t add him.
he was orignially dead but then lex luthor brought him back and then he went under cover for spiral if im correct so the rest of the batfam except of batman thought dick grayson was dead
Ben Radford parademons were made from different innocent conquered species.even people from the times darkseid has came to earth..yea he’d think of that I think.
One thing I don’t get is, where is dick greyson in the whole debacle of getting damian’s body back? Both Jason & Tim plus Barbra were there except him… Like was there a reason for him not being included? And please don’t tell me that “he was needed in blüdheaven” was the reason… coz that would make no sense at all since dick would do anything to help out especially if it meant getting damian back Also LOVE the video! Great work on compiling all that & summarizing it in such an entertaining way! Kudos to the editors too! Edited: OK, I did some digging & I found out that, apparently, dick was pronounced dead after his identity was blown world wide by the Crime Syndicate, but he wasn’t actually dead. Cut to Bruce for some stupid & fucked up reason manipulating Grayson into keeping the whole thing of him still being alive a secret to the batfamily & his friends, (hence why he’s not included in the rescue mission) and making him go undercover into spiral to be his inside man GOD only knows for what & why… Not to mention the fucked up thing Bruce did to jason when he was coping with damien’s death Essentially, he took Jason to the place where he died in the false pretense of resolving a crime there, and all the while bonding, appreciating, and reminiscing with him about the old times only to reveal at the end that the reason he brought him there is to jog his memory about his death, so that he can tell him how he got resurrected to HELP BRUCE get damien back… talk about selfishness and lack of consideration am I right? It’s suffice to say jason was not happy about that, and honestly? As he SHOULD really. The only thing I want to say is sheesh.. Bruce acts as if damien is his only son with the way he treats both dick & jason in this series… I mean yes he’s the only biological one but still, you did adopt BOTH of them.. at least have the decency to act like a father to them…
You know, I see people commenting in the Injustice videos of Nightwing being killed by Damian and them claiming Batman was much closer to Dick than Damian. However, seeing this, I’m now beginning to think differently. He cried for Dick, but he NEVER went to Hell and back for his one and only son. Not even the resurrection scene of watching Damian open his eyes can compare to the time when Dick was thought to be dead and Batman watched him open his eyes. Damian was the only kid that he would do anything, even sacrifice the one chance he had to bring back his parents, to save. The more I think about this, the more I’m believing that the way Batman treated Damian in the Injustice Universe was OOC for him. Everyone else was OOC, but Batman was also acting OOC imo.
I've gotten to know Damian and Jason much better thanks to the Comicstorian channel (Although RedHood is already one of my favorite DC movies). I would love to see batman and son redone since everything you touches comes out to such a well refined fashion.
I love Damian's extreme arrogance. He acts like he's just better than everyone, such as when he thought that he was better than Tim, who was going easy on him, and only won via sucker punch. I love the scene in the Red Hood comics where Damian challenges Jason, but gets beaten to a pulp because he fought someone who knows all of his dirty tricks. It sounds like a great way for the character to improve
How is it Leviathan under grant morrison is really great and makes sense meanwhile in bendis Action comics and Event Leviathan its really stupid and boring like i don't get it.
I know this will be lost in the countless messages just wanted to say thank you for the endless hours of stories all yours and your teams hard work watching this channel over the years from waking up getting ready for work listening while driving or even laying down to sleep your work has been apart of my life for as long as i can remimber introducing friends to comics and fans to wonderful stories there were times when i just needed a distraction to take my mind off of things to drag myself out of the pits of my mind when things were at their darkest and i would just turn on one of your playlist sorry for rambling i just wanna tell you how much your hard work effects the people who watch and how much it means to us sorry for the long message off to play some borderlands 3
i read this series when it was coming out, i lost track and forgot about it. i’m so glad you did this because it brings back a lot of of happy memories
Why does the hellbatsuit have to run on metabolism when vic runs on a mother box, lex runs on kryptonite, Hal runs on willpower, and billy runs on magic? Why does the power source have to kill the wearer?
It really is a shame how Tim Drake is portrayed in most comics. He’s my all time favorite robin. Batman’s mind without all the edginess. Sure Dick Grayson is awesome, but he’s NIGHTWING. For good reason. Batman’s mantle can only be worn by one person, and Tim is EVERYTHING Bruce wishes he was.
Nah Bruce wanted to be like nightwing, however Tim is the best robin though. He has all the skills of Batman and can easily take up the mantle since Tim will become the best detective sooner or later
Everyday it pisses me off so godamn much how bad Warner Bros screwed up the DCEU, with SO MUCH AMAZING MATERIAL INCLUDING THIS UNBELIEVABLE STORY! I can literally see it now. IMAGINE seeing Batman fighting his way through Apokolips in the hellbat on screen in the manner of an 80s movie like diehard mixed with Taken? Hearing Batman give Liam Neesons speech, “ I will find you and kill you. I AM VENGEANCE, I AM THE NIGHT, I AM BATMAN!” FUCK YEAH!! And the ending of this comic saga could be taken verbatim from the pages to screen. As one of the most PERFECT movie endings of all-time. It has everything, the hilarious fake fight, the tear-jerking emotion of Bruce tucking robin in to find the portrait, and ultimately the final scene of the bat signal in the sky with a smile on Bruce’s face as they take off! I mean COME ON!!
I would just like to note how impressive it is that Batman according to Talia in this comic took out 30 trained ninja man-bats that are 600lbs each... Now think about how batman usually fights HUMAN BEINGS
Dear Benny I have watched the videos on your channel since Batman and son and I have watched every one of your full story videos since you've been making them to sum up I'm a huge fan and love the work you do
