Thoughts on Joker & BATMAN being one & the same? Story? 4 best friends for ever & ever as well as the whole entourage (2 of clubs, spades, diamonds & hearts, 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, Jack/Jill, King, Queen, Ace...) witness Bruce Thomas Wayne & his family nearly murdered. Joe Chill & all. They survive it & the boy & his costume resembling a bat inspires all four jokers to trick or treat for the rest of THEIR lives. Shuffling the deck as they do. Meaning they all try to fully invest in a Vegan Gotham being universal. So on & so forth. Realizing Gotham is genuinely cursed....no less. All the Rogues taking on the mantle as well. Rupert Thorn & the like however.....criminally insane as ever sadly. Court of Owls & all.

This was my kind of self contained story. Absolutely loved it. This is the type of storytelling that made comics unique, fun and interesting. Thanks again for the recap.

1st issue Jim Lee art was great. The Le Cirque du roi des Clownes cult in Paris was also a great concept.

The twist at the end with the joker saying he doesn't want to know who Batman is reminds me of the Heth Leader Joker from the Dark Knight when he calls Reese telling him that he doesn't want to know who Batman is anymore, causing more chaos.

you didn't mention the fantastic art of Marc Silvestri he alone in my opinion is the best out of the image founders yes even better than mcfarlane and jim lee glad he did his Batman story I loved it it reminded me of some arcs (not all batman ) of the 90s I hope we get a part 2

I'm going to be honest, I am seriously Joker'd out. Is he the antithesis of Batman? Yes. Is he the subject of a lot of awesome stories? Yes! But it feels like he is almost the only character DC can ever focus on if Batman is involved. And I get it. Every tim a new writer comes in they go "I want tk take a crack at this character!". But there are so many other interesting Batman rogues! I kind of wish Joker would be killed off for a period in the comics so we could see the other rogues get some love!

This is exactly why I don't like comic books anymore even though I'm a lifelong comic book fan they should never be teaming these two up and they're using the joker too much The joker is a guy who should pop up once every couple years to keep that mystery about him when he shows up all the time there's no big deal to the joker and when you start saying there's more than one of him that just destroys everything that special about him I just don't understand why they're doing this DC needs a complete reboot back to the post crisis DC universe of one universe no multiverse no omniverse and do elseworld stories for those other stories but no multiverse One joker one Batman one Superman that's it and you can do your elseworld stories they're just destroying everything with these stories

The fact that Batman can work with a psychotic, mass-murderer like Joker after all he's done, to Babs, to Jason, to Gotham, really shows what a POS batman is!
