Just gotta admire how Batman kept hold of the free-falling Dee and made a point not to let go of the line until the other Dee caught her, even while Bonk was beating the crap out of him.
Weird, i vividly remember him crushing two of the bane-wannabe associates under a giant rolling pin and letting the wolverine knockoff fall to their doom. He also killed the fantastic 3 (idk how they were actually called)
Batman knew Bonk was the Jenga piece that would make the whole thing fall apart. And he was. He fucked up the whole operation and damn near got them all killed.
@@ronaldmackall1621 I kinda get the impression the writers very much regretted either saying the suit enhanced strength that much or not saying its use was conditional. Something like "it only enhances your strength when lifting or in emergencies against super strong opponents", because I don't think we ever really see Terry hit harder in the suit than out of at any point.
I love that Terry instantly went after Bonk, the only one of the three dumb enough to detach to chase him. Shows he was already in his opponents' heads and ready to manipulate them.
Bruce has taught him well. This branch of the Jokerz are probably my favorite so far. You've got DeeDee, the granddaughters of the one and only Harley Quinn (and who knows, they could even be the Joker's granddaughters); Chucko, who is more of the level-headed type, and is probably closest n personality (and weight) to Penguin; Ghoul, the Scarecrow-esque brains of the operation who, rather embarrassingly, admitted to wetting his bed until he was 14; Woof, who's personality is like a science experiment gone horribly wrong, even before he got spliced; and lastly, Bonk, the meathead rodeo clown with the attitude and intelligence (or lack thereof) of Killer Croc. The more I watch BB, the more I honestly see the Jokerz evolve from a bunch of Joker wannabees to slowly embodying the entirety of Bruce's Rogues Gallery in some form or another
@@jackthegreek6092I will concede that the satellite plan was kinda dumb. But it did have some of the darkest animated Joker moments I can think of, and I’d argue it’s this Joker’s best outing.
But they can't be Joker's children since Joker and Harley didn't want to go through the "process" of making children, that's why they kidnapped Robin and then Joker died before either of them had a chance to change their minds...the real father is out there somewhere
@@mbrillon765 There's always the *possibility* that they simply hadn't intended for, or noticed that Harley was pregnant yet, but it is more likely that with Joker out of the picture, Harley simply got better and fell in love with someone else. Best revenge against The Joker for Harley - living a good, happy life after getting away from him.
@@mbrillon765 that's what his Wikipedia article says but I'm not sure where this info comes from. My guess is either an interview with Paul Dini or a fun fact blurb in the DVD settings.
From one point of view, sure. Since it is showed that Harley is those two Grandmother. But on the other hand, by the same logic, Ghoul could just been called Scarecrow (considoring he is the only one that isn't "clown/joker" themed member).
Before the ending, this also reveals that the twins grandmother is harlequin which may explain where they took lessons from even though she told them not 2
I always wondered why Terry never had his own "bat web" i mean i know that it wouldn't work with all his enemies but it would definitely help in some fights, like in this one, they just kept getting up and that's why they were able to escape, that wouldn't happen if they were tied up.
Aw, my thread got deleted. :( Might as well repeat my OP ... 3:30 Man, for someone with a decent amount of fighting skill and wearing a suit that gives him super strength, Terry sure does get strangled _a lot_.
The one thing i never got from Batman Beyond was how did Gotham and the rest of the world get this high tech in the 20 years i think it was since Bruce was batman (its probably been that long since i actually watched Batman Beyond) ,they probability tell you in the show and i just forgot but wouldn't it be sick if Superman had something to do with it? like he felt Humanity is mature enough to help him with Kryptonian tech and it just help human unlock the technology we see in the show things like 0:11 the Fuck is That?? That gun Melted the crane and the crane Exploded and that was what one round, one bullet? When i was 11 and saw that that gun blew my mind
Well this is a world that had the justice league make an orbiting base with a laser, and had pushed back a few alien invasions. Even if that was something shown later in Justice League/Justice League Unlimited.
This scene that Terry abuse his power by liking the Batsuit of his ego. After the obnoxious bully Nelson Nash lost his school spirit festival and expelled at school by Terry (from the episode of Unmasked). In my Batman Beyond The Scarecrow's Curse fanfiction after Batman Beyond The Return of The Joker. All the mall, arcades, nightclubs and Hamilton Hill High School was closed down by Terry, Bruce and Commissioner Barbara. All the villains was arrested at Arkham and House arrested, and the abusive parents was house arrested, prisoned and teachers, too. That people were stay home by doing house cleaning and eating simple food without fancy food. Blade, Nelson and all the popular kids was send to juvenile hall prison in 10 years for scared straight by Terry. And, they heard Willie passed away and Blade was heartbroken, and Nelson burst into tears of his guilt. And, they all been abuse by Warden Lyle Bolton/Lock-Up by turning them into his armies to kill Batman, the citizens and all the villains. Nelson became mentally unstable and Dex-Starr makes him as a evil villain and member of the Lantern Corp of his cat phobia, by control him to kidnap all Terry's classmates, teachers, Dana, Chelsea, Max, Blade and Melanie as their slaves at Planet Ysmault. Willie fake his own death by capture Terry by too overprotected him at the increase Vandal Savage's old mansion at Germany that he's a Nazi. Blade became Willie's anchor as a pet white Persian cat by naming her Bibi. And, everything goes mad max. And, Ghoul mentor is the Scarecrow to kill Terry and Willie.
That would be a problem considering the OG Batman Rouge's gallary Even though Terry has high tech suit which multiplies his physical capabilities What he lacks is experience Not to mention the diversity they all have Even if he defeats them , Batman Rouge's gallary can adapt considering their experience and these "Jokerz" in this can't even compare to them Although that doesn't mean Terry isn't badass or weak at all But experience counts as well as adaptability Because in the end of the day he is a hero(Batman) and wouldn't kill them Giving them chance to try again and adapt to him
Terry has the advanced suit, street smart, and has shown a high intellect in his own right. I see RotJ as his final test to truly being Batman, taking on Bruce's greatest adversary and winning through his own methods. The the Counterpoint to Lord RJ, is that they try to adapt to Bruce, but they still lose.
@@VariaBug well he is all that but as I mentioned about adaptability While you say they can't adapt to oversmart Bruce easily Is because Batman has made plans for future or has something in case while Terry isn't all that ready When Superman (controlled by Staro) asked him to spy on them , he was taken aback While Batman would do that even before joining the team(Justice league) as he knows about all the leaguers and which shows during badass Batman moments when meeting If they adapt to Bruce they lose but to Terry they might get an upper hand Also the Return of the Joker thing is that he defeated the Joker by burning the microchip on Tim but if that had been the real one It would definitely have been a lot worse Not to mention Batman had to battle villans constantly and sometimes more than one at a time sometimes to the point of breaking his physical body and still keeping tabs on everyone While Terry gets a chance to breathe as his High school life , although sometimes he does have to sacrifice it for being Batman He is a Batman in his own right and i wouldn't take away his achievements but if Bruce's Batman Rogue Gallery had people like Riddler whoes genius is comparable to Batman himself , Joker whose insanity is constant in contrast to Batman's crusade , The Abomination of Killer Croc , The unpredictable nature of Poison ivy etc.... They can give Terry a hell of a time and to think Batman had to fight them all in one night on more than one occasion Terry might not be able to handle it along with that all those villians have a lot more experience and that with Batman so it just isn't gonna be that easy even those traits and Batman beyond suit Cause we probably have seen much more advanced suits and weapons or powerful character friend or foe in the time when Batman was still in his prime (Brainiac , Dark side , Superman , Wonder woman)
@@lordrj4203 I doubt he'd have a worse time. The Joker in RotJ was backed by Tim's memories, training and fighting abilities in addition to his own memories and intelligence. In actuality the Joker in RotJ was probably WORSE than normal Joker. A Joker who knew how to fight like Batman
"That ain't coming out of my allowance." Man, Terry really is the biological son of Bruce Wayne. It is such a cheesy line, and yet Terry it made it sound so cool. He really was born to be Batman.
TheEagleNut wait they did??? I remember seeing that in the censored version too a long time ago, then again I’m weird that way cause somehow I remember seeing the foul mouth episode of dexters laboratory on tv a long time ago too.
@@alejandroz5730 for one of the jokerz dialogue ("i dont knoe why the boss wants a punk like you out but as long as its gun") you can tell they dont know terry is batman
Why wasnt amanda waller in the Batman. Beyond series. I hope terry meets amanda Waller. Would be i know how u are urs bruce son and. Wat the crap are. U saying
I'm actually surprised that these guys were never in the show, only in this and the JLU episode were they're cyber enhanced in an alternate timeline since Bonk is alive and not killed by the Joker.
I feel they should have been in the show, they would have been the perfect, main teenage ememy group against Batman. Kind of like the equivalent of the Hi-Five from Teen Titans
@@hardwirecars The Third band of Jokerz (Bonk, Chucko, Ghoul, Woof & DeeDee) where only in the Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker animated fim, and yes, that JLU episode. This set of Jokerz were the best and most memorable group of Jokerz compared to the first two groups (Though Terminal's group is pretty cool too). J-Man's group, and Terminal's group of Jokerz were in the actual Batman Beyond series, but unfourtantly the ROTJ Jokerz aren't. If we had a Season 4, we most likely would have seen (The third group from ROTJ-Bonk's group).
They probably were in that JLU episode because they had the model sheets for em leftover from the movie. Batman Beyond proper had a set group of Jokers they'd use for fights, presumably with model sheets of their own, but none of them ever had major roles.
Just noticed this cool detail. At 1:46 when Terry is about to be kicked, he actually tries to catch it first, but he fails. It's on the second try when he actually catches the kick. Nice to see characters trying to block/defend but still failing.
@@ItsTheGuy77 I like this show and the movie we have two Batmans. Bruce may not be able to fight so much physically but mentally he is and will always be Batman
I love his comment at the beginning of the video. "It's a school night boys and girl, I'm gonna have to call your folks." That line just makes me crack up laughing
Man, I get they're villains and all, but you'd think people like Dee Dee would feel some sort of gratitude towards Batman after saving her life. At least _some_ right? Something?
@@rustonh316 definitely not joker for 2 reasons 1.he was killed most likely before they planned it 2.the jokerz would've been ran by them instead possibly under a different title
So, hey, Delia (or Deidre, whichever twin you are), you almost fell to your death, only for Batman, your arch-nemesis, to save you when only your sister (and none of your partners) seemed to give a care. Maybe you and your sister could lay off him once in a while, and give him a thank you?... Yeah, I didn't think you would.
I like how the Dee Dees went from these scared looking teenagers to suddenly the bigger threat out of the whole group because they know how to fight as a team.
It's basically homecoming 2 older experienced heros (Batman/Ironman) choosing apprentices to take their mantles (Terry/peter) both in highschool both eventually lose their suits for a bit of time and both being the ones to take over the role of the older heros
Don't they get cybernetics at one point? I could've sworn I've seen the pink guy with the mask have a ball instead of legs. And Wolf had prosthetic arms.
I hate how we rarely ever saw this version of the Joker Gang like I love the idea of them being a reoccurring nemesis for Batman Beyond they’re all so artistically defined and personality driven
