A seductive, animal-themed villainess in a fanservice outfit wants Batman to chase her? Do we not already have Catwoman for that?

Ok... you can't make an "Alice in Wonderland" themed villain and not link them to the Mad Hatter. Also: This was probably the dumbest premise for a story ever imagined. I mean.. what could the endgame of WR possibly be? All she does is slightly buff a villain for a little while and leave. Scarecrow at least took notes when he released fear gas.

Hearing some of this dialogue I kinda wish it was Frank Miller writing. Because then we could HAVE Linkara talking LIKE Frank MILLER'S Batman. About how FEAR is a CANNIBAL. A CANNIBAL. Not something for a DETECTIVE! Something like that MORON in METROpolis would HAVE. A MORON. And I'm a DETECTIVE.

Also, why would Clayface need the serum? I understand with the other villains since they don't have any superpowers to begin with. But Clayface doesn't need a power boost, he's Clayface! He's already a hulking monster to begin with!

I've been watching episodes out of order and bouncing around and until now I just assumed the "One Face" running gag was a reference to a silly joke Linkara made and not a real thing that happened in a real comic book.

Y'know when hearing the name "One-Face", I was _expecting_ Harvey's face to be completely scarred over, with absolutely no sign of his original personality left. ...this was _so_ much worse.

a joke between goons in Batman arkham city is that cat woman clawed off the pretty half of his face and is calling himself one face. The sad part is that the joke is less stupid than the comic as two face would have a fully scared face making him one face.

Super muscled Two-Face? Ok, its stupid but not without precedent, what with the Arkham games and all. Calling himself "One Face" when he still has two faces? WHY?!?!

I have no problem with the fanservice, but she's still kind of a wasted concept. She dresses like a sexy bunny and gives out... super steroids? That seems kind of unrelated. If they wanted to keep the sexy theme for her, then why not have her using some sort of highly addictive love potion? She and her goons addict and enthrall various people in positions of power like politicians, businessmen, police officers, and crime bosses to gain control of gotham. Hell I think I did something like that myself in story idea some time ago. Also, there's apparently no relation to mad hatter?

The sad thing is, I feel like this storyline had potential. Call me crazy, but I like the idea of a villain who can create a duplicate of herself with different features is pretty cool and COULD have been a nifty trick to keep her identity a secret. Additionally, the idea that she's an adrenaline junky with a fetish for being chased is pretty unique character motivation. It's kind a rip-off of Catwoman, but without the anti-heroism Selina's developed (or had developed) over the years. I could've dug it.

You have a White Rabbit villain...and you don't pair them up with Mad Hatter? It would've been so easy to make her Mad Hatter's version of Harley Quinn or something, but no, the author couldn't put two and two together in his own writing.

A parent dropped it off for her son's presentation or some such; after flipping through it before the kid picked it up, I handed it to him and told him "there's much better Batman out there" This is what the kids are reading these days.

After Two-Face becomes doused in even more acid, he goes from One-Face to No Face. And then he inexplicably goes to Japan and becomes friends with a little girl in the Spirit World.

I hate what the venom drug has become over the years. Back when Bane kicked his addiction to it immediately after Knightfall, the drug's effects on users weren't nearly as overthetop as they're so often depicted nowadays, and an un-venomed Bane and Batman were both able to take on a whole gang of venom-using thugs without breaking a sweat. Bane was already a mountain of muscle and fighting skill, and he didn't actually need the (very minor) upgrade in strength to beat Batman originally. LITERALLY the only purpose venom served was for Bane's addiction to be an achilles heal to exploit at the conclusion and cause him to go into a withdrawal freakout. That was a weakness that he saw in himself afterwards and purged... until more and more artists and writers over time just kind of forgot about that character development, and eventually him using venom just became the norm again without an in-universe explanation and Gail Simone finally had to address it in Secret Six and give him a whole new different motivation to quit the drug. And as a result of all of that, we had adaptations of Bane and venom in other media that went bananas with the degree to which it enhances users (I suppose hearing the phrase "strength enhancing drug," the natural instinct might be to assume it has effects that are more extreme than venom's original depiction), creating the impression over the years for a much wider audience that it has a Hulk effect, which in turn bled right back into the comics where we would then get stories like this and Bane's wonderful appearance in the upcoming issues. :/ Writers can give out some BS and say the formula has been upgraded as much as they want; when venom starts being depicted as a drug that turns people from Bruce Banner into the grotesquely muscled Hulk towering over opponents at superhuman size, it's something entirely different. But I guess for a lot of readers and fans, that's simply what venom is now, regardless of how it started out..

Okay, so well it might be a stretch but the white rabbit motif combined with the notion of the chase is really calling up Alice in wonderland, so could the idea be that the white rabbit leads people to a world without fear, but also without reason. Or am I trying too hard to find a justification for what is clearly a playboy bunny being cast as a villain? Wait...Shitty inner monologues, over-the-top violent action scenes, poor excuses to have scantly clad female characters, hulked out characters on every other page? Holy shit Rob Liefeld is ghost writing for DC!

As a fan of Damian Wayne along with the fact that he is my favorite Robin, that little portrayal of him in this story really angers me. As Linkara pointed out, Damian is very boastful, brash, and arrogant, so much so that he makes his own father who is also pretty brash and arrogant look calm and collected in comparison. Damian would never have that look of fear in his eyes and suggest that they should get help, he is so confident in his skills that he believes that he could take them all on by himself. While most of the time Damian can back up his arrogance because he is really that talented of a fighter, he usually gets into trouble because he believes he can do everything on his own and asking for help would be seen as a weakness. While Damian has indeed calmed down a lot when it comes to his arrogance, it is still there and it will probably never fully go away.

I dunno, making Joker into a Titan mutant back in the Arkham Asylum videogame was pretty god damn stupid. if anything, making Harvey into a behemoth is on par with that in terms of stupidity

This is probably one of the dumber Batman stories we've seen on this show in a long time. White Rabbit not being linked to Mad Hatter, One-face, dialogue about past events we were never told about and plot points that go no where. Hopefully you come back to this in the future!!!

I’m guessing the Batman over saturation was due to the huge success of the Nolan films, especially since the Dark Knight Rises came out the year after The New 52 launched.

What is up with the dialogue? it's awkward and stilted. One Face........ One Face................ ONE. FACE. I got nothing. Geez Batman, Gordon is feeling you how you're his only friend and you disappear?!? What the hell? So the comic's premise is that the villains are being jacked up by drugs and attack people? It's like the Joker boss from Arkham Asylum except it's even stupider here. At least there it's only in the last portion of the game, here it's the whole comic with several villains. Yeah, what's the point of White Rabbit? Don't we already have Catwoman for hero/villain sexual tension shit. The moral of the story is, don't do drugs kids. They make you act out of character and hulk out.

Ugh what the new 52 did to Freeze...was just horrible. It seams like both Marvel and DC have done stupid things recently. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they did stick with giant two-face. Remember we have Hydra agent from the start CA, As well as Magneto joining hydra for some stupid reason.

I stopped following Batman due to the over saturation I always said, one thing Marvel does better than DC is that they are able to get heroes on somewhat equal popularity these days. Now yes there was a time Wolverine was in every team and had a solo series and was in every X-Men book but even that turned down and Linkara mentioned like 4 Spider-Man

So like...ya'll get this White Rabbit charatcer is a drug reference right? Ever here "chasing the dragon"? "chasing the white rabbit" is another take on that phrase. So this character? It's just a reference to that, The White Rabbit injecting people with mind altering drugs and telling Batman to chase her. (I mention it because I didn't see anyone mentioning. Though the complaint about not having her connected to Mad Hatter is fiar, since she makes refereces to Alice in Wonderland.)

You know, the second issue of this series had a weird solicit info: Something sinister surges through Arkham Asylum, and Batman finds himself bombarded by his greatest foes in this second sensational issue from superstar creator David Finch!Bigger, meaner, and more powerful than ever before, the inmates of Arkham Asylum run rampant as the entire Bat Family struggles to keep the walls from falling down, unleashing Gotham City's worst criminals on the unsuspecting population. And you won't believe the jaw-dropping final page! Just keep repeating, "It's only a comic book. It's only a comic book..." ...why would the ending of issue two with a roided up Joker scare us?

I think one of the reasons why I started to prefer manga over comic books is because of the latter's lack of continuity. Dragonball aside, choices have consequences in non-comedic manga, and storylines are often set up over many years which makes the pay off all the more sweeter when you realise all of the delicate pieces that the author had put in place for you to find. With comic books on the other hand most storylines are usually done and dusted in six issues or less, actions are forgotten in short order except for some particularly rare occasions, and characters almost never stay dead which means that it is impossible to build any emotional connection to snuffed characters because you know that give it a few years and they'll be back. That is not to say that I don't love comics because I do. In fact just ten minutes ago I finished re-reading ''Hush'' for the tenth time. I just think that manga is the only product of the two that is worth the increasingly extortionate asking price.

Yyyyeah, as much as I love Batman and see Rebirth as an improvement over the New 52, there's a similar issue going on: Over-saturation of Batman. He has his own solo book, Detective Comics, All-Star Batman, is in Justice League, JLA, and Trinity, frequently cameos in books starring other Gotham-related characters, and is a recurring character in the Superman solo because of his team-ups with Supes and Superboy's team-up with Robin.

Let's see. An over saturation of Batman. Trying to turn other characters into Batman. A focus on action scenes over story. Jumbled continuity people can't fallow. Trying to do cross over's before a status quo is established. And bad writing that tries to be overly poetic. Did the New52 somehow transform itself into the DCEU?

The retirement line regarding Joker was referencing the events of Detective Comics #1 (though in a rather clumsy way). Joker had his face cut off and disappeared untill his return in Scott Snyder's Death of the Family (which I love, personally). Batman knew Joker had purposefully gotten Dollmaker to cut his face before disappearing and knew Joker had chosen to disappear, so he'd be surprised to see him around so soon.

My best guess for the "One--Face" nonsense is a confused, hilariously clumsy attempt at something along the lines of "There is no more Eddie Brock, there is only... _VENOM_" for him; a show and declaration of his more human side being subsumed by the monstrous side. But it's such a trainwreck in execution XD So I see in this universe, Bruce Wayne bought the Tyrell P34 during its lengthy hiatus from the racing world to use as the basis for the Batmobile. Still better than the DKT tumbler and the Arkham Knight Battank, both of which look like RotF Megatron doing dodgy Batmobile cosplay. I wonder if White Rabbit was planned to be connected with the Mad Hatter in some way.

I like the use of Weird Al's Polka Face in the intro title card to allude to One-Face.

The first two minutes of the video highlight is something that I really have fell is wrong with DC in the last decade or so. Batman and his supporting cast have too large of a shadow. It makes it difficult for other characters to survive. Even with Spider Man at one point having so many different titles(way too much for one character) at least never feels as if Spider-Man is taking over Marvel to where nobody else can stay afloat.

Personally in my opinion i feel like the only good new 52 books i can think of is this: animal man by Jeff Lemire Swamp thing by scott synder Green lantern by Geoff Johns Aquaman by Geoff Johns and that's about it there were probably more but i will be here all day if i list them all

Yeah I have to agree during the new 52 batman was over saturated and is still kinda is till this very day which in my opinion is very frustrating as a D.C. Fan because while I do like batman always have always will i still believe other characters deserve a chance to shine in the spotlight

Jeffrey Combs as Scarecrow is sheer weapons-grade nightmare fuel. His design is terrifying. He looks like an Old West preacher who's returned as an undead. And that voice! Combs dials the calm but menacing up to eleven. It is really creepy.

Wait, White Rabbit? Alice? *GASP* Of course she's an associate of the Mad Hatter! Who wants to create a whole bunch of Hulked out Batman villains!...For some reason!...No one's really explained that exactly!

Paul Jenkins has better work in his resume, Marvel's Inhumans and the Sentry to name a few. I liked a lot of the New 52, namely the Geoff Jahns Justice League series, the main Batman series, Suicide Squad, and Swamp Thing.

Now we know why the Hatter hired March Harriet instead of this weird playboy criminal.
