Batman: The Long Halloween - Full Story 

I always thought The Long Halloween was a Scarcrow centered story. Man, was I wrong on so many levels.

My interpretation of this is that Hilda was killing until New Year's, when Harvey failed to kill Alberto. Since Alberto escaped, he started committing the Holiday killings, particularly Maroni's men, the people in Maroni's restaurant, Maroni's father, the coroner, Carla and Maroni himself. Afterwards, Dent only killed Falcone and Vernon Fields. So basically: Gilda: First Halloween - Christmas Harvey: New Year's and Second Halloween Alberto: Valentine's Day - Labor Day

Anyone here after hearing “the batman” will supposedly be based on this story?

This was a damn good murder mystery. When I first read it that ending reveal blew my mind! I heard the Saw theme in my head. You know the one that plays at the end of the first movie when the twist is revealed? That one. I love this story and you can see elements of it being used in The Dark Knight. Particularly the Dent/Two-face stuff

Bat man the long Halloween is one of my all time favorite comics of all time and of crourse the killing joke being my favorite joker story but the whole story as a whole is so dark and gritty and and so compelling with a absolute brilliant twist at the end what a master piece

I absolutely love The Long Halloween it's one of my favorite Batman stories. The only problem I have with it are the super villains, because they feel out of place. For people who haven't read it i would highly recommend it.

I have to say Jeph Loeb has a lot of hits and a few terrible ultimates stories, and The long Halloween is up there for one of the best ever.

So that's the real Two-Face origin. Interesting stuff, but I do love the movie's story. Gets the tragedy of a good man turned to evil perfect.

I've heard it's on the same level as the killing joke,year one and the dark knight returns and I've heard some overall good things about it,so yeah I'm gonna pick it up😆😊.

I had a Blast with this comic, beeing a Detective enthusiast myself. My First suspect was Alberto, he just seemed so shady and quiet, always in the back but still strongly mentioned. He can have alot of reasons as the heir to the Falcony. And he could get close to the familly without beeing suspected. But then he was shown as beeing killed so I dropped it. After gathering clues I suspected Harvey. As soon as we learned the paterns and especially because we saw a hand in a yellow-ish light polishing a .22, the murder weapon, with a baby bottle nipple next to it on a table with tools and scratches on the table itself, a few pages later: Harvey in the Basement, in a yellow-ish light in front of a scratched workbench. Harvey was also missing or late most of the Holiday nights. I stuck with that through the comic, occasionally suspecting some other Familly members but they got killed so... Then it was revealed Alberto was Holiday (or was he ?) but I quickly caught up that it was impossible, or at least that he was not alone, because his Aunt was there when he faked beeing shot wich would be impossible alone. And the end was a little confusing, apparently The Dents were both "Holiday" so turns out I was partially right at least. What did you guys Suspect ? Or was it just me who played Detective like the weirdo that I am ?

I have never read Batman The Long Halloween .Well maybe a little that came with my Batman Begins movie .At the time the two disk dvd had the Long Halloween in it .And I see Arkham City Robin above on the screen .

Long Halloween is my favourite comic.

I'm hear after learning the famed storyline will actually get adapted into a an animated film. Now this movie will split into 2 parts aka two separate films with the first film focusing on Batman, Harvey Dent, and Jim Gordon's efforts to stop the Holiday Killer, and the second film will focus on Batman's climatic Halloween Night showdown with Two-Face.
