@@daninajem4823 wow read dark knight returns or watch the animated movies and tell me he literally isn't a carbon copy of him... the only problem is this isn't the dark knight rises so he shouldn't be killing people, but he really is the most comic book accurate bat other than the fact he KILLS people which is out of character but I would still gladly see more of Affleck as batman.
Actually Batman would have been dark and badass like in BvS, but when Joss Whedon (the fucking Marvel's director) replaced Zack Snyder he transformed everything in a Avengers movie. He literally had quotes of TONY STARK! How could Joss Whedon fuck everything good in a universe of complex construction...
Right!? I never doubted him because a) he looks like Bruce Wayne in the comics; and b) his acting after Daredevil has been improving 10 fold. If you've seen Gone Girl, Argo, or The Town, you would have faith in him already. Let's see if he can pull it off.
CRF X people are always dicks like that man. they judge anything and everything before even giving it a single chance or thinking "oh that might be cool" or "maybe it might be good".......hundreds of 1000s of years of passed and we are still afraid of change.
halloweenfriday Did you hear of Leo DiCaprio before Titanic? or of Edward Norton before fight club? Maybe, but some did not, she is no exception. And its cast not casted.
ChoperJoJo I'm a little concerned they don't have any footage of Batman moving. I hope that's not an indication that there isn't any good Batman movement in the movie.
ChoperJoJo Another thing I'd like to add is that Ben Affleck is a known figure, much in the way Bruce Wayne is. And like how people wouldn't suspect Bruce Wayne as Batman, nobody would have expected Ben Affleck to play Batman.
You will give the people an ideal to stride towards,....they'll race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall...... but in time they will join you in the sun, in time they you'll help them accomplish wonders
"In all the years to come, in your most private moments. I want you to remember the one man who beat you." If that line is said in this movie I will shit my pants.
Matthew Dotta considering Snyder has already said that no one is winning this fight I doubt it. Wonder Woman will arrive at the scene to bitch slap the both of them back to their senses. WONDERWOMAN: I am the daughter of Zeus, an amazon, and the future God of War!
Cloud Sin At this point I wouldn't trust a word out of Snyders mouth about the plot. :) The man has wanted to put DKR on the big screen for over 10 years, so I have a feeling we will be seeing many a reference to the material. As to weather he actually says the line? Maybe not.... but "Do you bleed? ... You Will..." Is certainly in the tone of that graphic novel.
The problem is that, there should be no winner what so ever. If any one of them wins there will be a huge uproar in both fandoms. This is inspired from TDKR but it won't follow it panel by panel. At the end of the day, the most plausible outcome from this fight is a stale mate with the scale in favor of superman. Batman is supposed to be the brains of the justice League and not full blown muscle. This is going to be a prequel to justice league so i expect them to hug at the end and have a threesome with wonderwoman while aquaman is watching them. Hehe 😅
You guys are such losers constantly fighting about stupid shit just enjoy the movies from both properties the they're both good in their own ways you don't have to only be on one side
Man most of these comments are so negative and people are so misinformed. This teaser looks amazing imo. DC is going into a direction I didn't expect. (If the actual movie will be this tone).
Vishwaroop Ray Dont bother when you read these comments 90% of the people just can see Black and white their limited horizon cant see gray areas...this shit happens when you watch to many Marvel and transformers movies.
I remember how the first ever shot of ben affleck as bruce wayne at 1:02 drove people crazy with excitement and happiness and then his first ever line as Batman became so popular. Tell me... Do you bleed? you will. I dont remember just how many times i would watch this trailer over and over again because of excitement, Watching this trailer now still gives me the chills.
MHM eekk Not at all, that's a very simplistic title, but gets the point across as a subtitle since the main title of most superhero films are basic names.
Leo Iannetta Would preferred something along the lines of "World's Finest." But something like that really depends on the plot, as I'm sure "Dawn of Justice" does.
Deadpool Jenkins Exactly, the subtitle that they have now fit's more for how it'll get towards the ending, where as World's Finest wouldn't fit well for the story being told right now. This subtitle works, but anyone could have watched the movie then made that title, nothing genius about it ya know.
Man I still remember all the hate, Ben Affleck had to endure when it was announced he is the new batman. Then this trailer dropped and that shot of him looking menacingly at the batsuit with the voiceover of Alfred ! Everyone shut up and Batfleck was born
I just hope after the zack justice league they get someone else to do Batman or Superman movies. Let zack get he’s shine and that’s it no next movie. Like how Nolan was doing with dc let zack be done. Please let someone else take charge of the dc movies. Zack Superman is totally wrong people don’t want to know Superman does not see himself as a god he see’s himself as one of mankind
@@aydenprojain6021 I see you clearly are among the millions who don't know how the rotten tomatoes scores work. RT provides an aggregate score. Which isn't the same as an "evaluation score ". It judges movies on a simplistic and mistaken binomium: like and dislike. Out of 100 people, 27 people like it. This doesn't mean the movie was bad. It means less people liked it. And you should know that doesn't measure if a movie is good or bad. The real score is beneath it. It is the average rating. In this case, it was of 4.9 out of 10, which is a more appropriate score.
*I was rewatching BvS Ultimate Edition tonight and for the first time I cried while watching it. I felt Martha Kent's pain as she placed her dead husband's photo on her dead son's body at Clarks funeral. The more I rewatch that movie, the more I love it. It truly is a masterpiece.*
That build up at :59 with Alfreds speech and then seeing Bruce staring at his suit is so damn good. Its perfect writing and direction. You can literally see the fear, rage and powerlessness in Bruce's eyes as he is realizing that he must once again, become The Batman.
The Scarecrow This is how Batman should be. A threat, a nightmare to those who oppose him. He needs to strike fear into those who he thinks/sees as villains.
Batman says something in the comics along the lines of "Of course Clark could kill me whenever he wanted, he could level Gotham if he pleased. But he won't because his true weakness isn't Kryptonite. It's that at his core, Clark is still a good man, and the truth is, at my core, I'm not." This puts to bed all the "How Superman could easily kill Batman" Superman's weakness is his moral value for life.
Nathaniel Hill correct me, how was superman portrayed as a killer in man of steel??? As far i know, he saves the bus from drowning, saves people in an exploding oil rig, saves a waitress from douchebag, saves lois lane , some soldier falling from a helicopter and some more soldiers and finally saves the whole human race as well as other living beings while excruciatingly fighting under a kryptonian environment.
Rev55 yeah after 50000 people died, 3/4 of New York was demolished and the life of an entire family was at stake. Zod was a monster and Superman knew it yet he only killed zod when there was no other choice. Batman on the other hand has good intentions and though may act like an asshole is a good person who, himself, rarely ever kills (The joker killed robin and he literally did nothing but become emo). Superman doesn't have the heart to kill Batman
I can't believe people doubted Ben Affleck, even AFTER Gone Girl. He is a very good actor, when he has the right roles. This could be a very good film, looks pretty dark.
I feel like after the impact the Ledger made on the Batman franchise, people will uncomfortable or at least make a subliminal note of what/who batman should be, so I think people may be let down by Affleck.
"That's how it starts. The fever, the rage, the powerlessness that turns good men... cruel." Man, that line is DEEP. As weird as that sounds, I can totally relate to that quote.
The feeling of powlesness can be a vey destructive driving force if handled incorrectly. It has been used to justify countless atrocities. However, it can also be used to cultivate positive and productive change.
La Tortuga He does look weird in that photo but if you check his google+ I am betting he has no problems with the chicks - how about you La Tortuga - you getting any?
This teaser still gives me goosebumps like before. I still remember being crazy after watching it for the first time. I was little unimpressed with theatrical cut. But after watching ultimate edition it is one of the best Dc movies. It is a misunderstood masterpiece. It deserves 8.5/10.
This trailer was so... predicting programming. All the words were chosen... to fit to actual western media narrative. it is... really insane. They are turning good people.... crual.
@@enzobenzo09 did you even understand the biblical references. It wasn't to show that superman is Jesus, it was to show he wasn't but in the eyes of society and to the people, they think he's God. Which Luthor tries to disprove.
There are so many blockbusters that are disposable and quickly forgotten. This is a dense, deep, complex movie with gorgeous shots in every frame. It's one that people can't forget about and keep wanting to revisit.
@@Ryan-zt2xw I prefer this movie over a lot of movies these days. Though course, that might say more about the movie industry in general nowadays as apose to Batman v Superman in general.
Im a superman fan first, but i gotta say when i heard batman say "tell me, do you bleed?" i was like AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!
People keep making it seem like Superhero movies are a zero sum game, but its not. When I was a kid I bought both Marvel and DC comics. What drove my choices was the strength of the story and the artwork not the publishers. The same applies for the movies. I have enjoyed most of the Marvel films so far and look forward to more, but I am equally psyched about all the films DC has in the works.
Nope your not it's just that marvel has been so consistent for years and DC playing catch up. I love dc. Not a Ben Affleck fan but he is into comic books so his heart may be into this character
Tilda Adade And that's.... Well.. AWESOME. MOS laid a fantastic bit of groundwork for Batman V Superman to pick up from. Superman was very reckless as it was his first day on the job, and now he's going to suffer the consequences.
Honestly, one of my biggest concerns with Ben as Batman was what his "Batman voice" would be... and I think that they nailed the way to do it... a built in voice changer in his mask, lol. May be silly to some, but imagining Affleck trying to do a gravely voice just made me laugh, so at least the voice still sounds cool...
Radek Seky This is the most "in depth" preview that I've seen... haven't seen any other suits... so while I'm not disagreeing that he does his own voice work at points... all I can base my opinion from is this trailer specifically.
Nerve Damage They show him in two suits in this trailer. His normal suit at 1:28 and the one at the end which looks like it's an exoskeleton on top of his normal one.
So true. The other trailers focused too much on the fight between Batman and Superman when the actual movie is more about Superman's place in the world and how Batman and rest of the world react to his presence.
I'm so hyped I will just tell you how to make the perfect cookie... Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4 Cream butter and sugars, once creamed, combine in the egg and vanilla. Sift in the flour and salt, then the chocolate chips. Roll into walnut size balls, for a more homemade look, or roll into a long, thick sausage shape and slice to make neater looking cookies. Place on ungreased baking paper. If you want to have the real experience then bake for just 7 minutes, till the cookies are just setting - the cookies will be really doughy and delicious. Otherwise cook for 10 minutes until just golden round the edges. Take out of the oven and leave to harden for a minute before transferring to a wire cooling rack. These are great warm, and they also store well, if they don't all get eaten straight away!
Vigilantism you forgot the last step. after you let them cool off a bit you need to put the pan holding the cookies on the floor, then you must lower your pants, squat over them, and take a nice, big, fat shit on the cookies. NOW... they are ready
So far this has been the best trailer/ teaser. I wish movies didn't blow their load so much before the film came out. With teasers you get so little your imagination fills in the gaps. I guess that's why when you finally see the film you go meh. You've already seen most of the plot points.
+TheRubberStudiosASMR I just thought so; I think from now on I'll stick to this teaser, maybe I'll forget what happened on the new trailer and I'll be surprised again when I see the movie...
+TheRubberStudiosASMR The comic con trailer is the best to me. So much flavor but didn't reveal too terribly much. This last trailer tho just completely went off the rails
+Gaming 4 Life(Tylerman) I dont like teaser trailers because it doesnt tell you anything and also i dont like trailers that reveal too much. Thats why i loved the second trailer of BvS. But the last trailer wasnt just it. Lool
Batman: Do you bleed? Tony Stark: No, because I'm iron man. By the way, our movie is gonna be better Batman: You wish. Han Solo: Just wait till December bitches
I hate Marvel for what they did to Thor. They fkking neutered one of the most raw and powerful figures in Norse mythology. Thor 1 and 2 were borderline chick flicks. Jimmy Kimmel even joked about it. DC at least respects its characters. Doesn't go for easy cash grabs. They could've had shits and gigles and one-liners in their movies like most Marvel movies have in abundance, but they didn't. DC treats its properties with respect.PS. Man Of Steel was great. I'm sorry if you have a ridiculously short attention span and can't enjoy a movie unless you're bombarded with a one-liner joker every picosecond.
Red John Respect? What respectable movie aside from the dark knight series has DC come out with? Superman returns was a flop, man of steel was a horrible portrayal of superman, we don't even talk about some of the older movies. What about green lantern? Arrow and Flash on the CW are good, but boy do they go for those shits and giggles and one-liners that you despise so much.
Red John I didn't particularly care for the individual Thor films either, to be honest. That being said, Avengers was so brilliant that I was willing to forgive it. Man of Steel was... decently mediocre. I have high hopes for this film, though.
@@afrikanboiy uhh ok it's just that most see Zack Snyder's dceu as a joke. It's obvious why because of the box office and overall reviews. Infact I actually like Zack Snyder's direction in the dceu he got screwed over by WB and Whedons reshoots.
Ibrahim Ismail He definitely got screwed over, theres toxicity on both sides of the fandom, both Marvel and DC, I just wish everyone can just enjoy both.
JT Manuel Green Arrow isn't making an appearance in this movie. The confirmed heroes are Batman,Superman(duh), Wonder Woman,Aquaman and Cyborg. Aquaman and Cyborg are apparently cameos while Wonder Woman has a larger role in the film. There has also been some flash rumors but nothing confirmed. This isn't a straight adaptation of the Dark Knight Returns, it's loosely based off of it and you can the influences definitely on Batman with his normal costume and his mech suit. From what I can gather from this trailer its seems like this might be a slight role reversal from DKR. In the graphic novel, Superman is sent to take down Batman in Gotham because the government views him as threat. While in this movie, it appears like the world at large views Superman as a threat and Batman goes to Metropolis in an attempt to man handle him.
in this case is already twisted and turned into shit, that is not when superman gets his ass kicked by batman, i want to see the real story, the carnage from the joker killing everybody, green arrow missing one arm and still being a bad ass and shooting arrows with his teeth, the girl robin who turned out to be the best ever, the joker with diplomatic immunity returning to the states just to kill everybody, that is how it should go and that is the time superdouche gets his ass beaten to a pulp for being a government watchdog. I knew this Ben Afleck thing would ruin it, everybody else said but i didn't listen.
If you make both Batman and Superman have more "realistic" abilities (ie, Supes can't travel faster than light; Bats' knees get fucked up from years of jumping off roofs), then Batman doesn't have a chance. Superman's three weaknesses are: 1) Kryptonite (doesn't exist in the films yet) 2) Magic (doesn't exist in the films yet) 3) Red sunlight/Kryptonian atmosphere Let's look at Batman's three weaknesses: 1) PTA meetings. 2) Pretty much everything Supes can do. Superman can fly outside the range of any of Bats' gadgets, and nuke him with heat vision, or throw a satellite at him. It wouldn't even have to be a big satellite. SOURCE: Science
Liesmith Are you kidding? Have you read a comic ever? Kryptonite isn't Superman's 'main weakness'. You know what is? That deep down Clark is essentially a good person. He'd never want to kill anyone or even harm them if he could help it. He's a boy scout. That's why Batman has an advantage over him, kryptonite or not. Because deep down, Bruce Wayne is not a good person. Superman could destroy Batman in a heartbeat. No one's denying that, but he never would. Read Hush, A Death in the Family and The Dark Knight Returns. Then come back and you'll maybe be able to come up with something intelligent to say.
Zack Snyder was cheated out of his complete vision. Still recall first time I saw this trailer, the goosebumps and first impression of Batfleck brooding....bliss
