Archons are always a good choice mid and late game because they only cost 100 minerals. granted they cost 300 gas, but gas is unlimited. so even if you have 4 or 5 geysers that are exhausted you can still rake in plenty of has. moving away from dragoons mid game was very smart as they are ineffective against dark swarm and hyperlings. Stork's play was near flawless as he plays best when he takes his time, draws out the game, and uses his mental toughness to wear down opponents.

PvZ is balanced, TvZ is not. Anyway, the main reason why Jaedong lost was because he was behind in economy. When Stork went FE opening, Jaedong needed to get 3 or 4 bases. Instead, JD just got 2 and went fast lair. The fast lair really didnt do much so he was behind in build order choice. Stork made mass archons which is unstoppable late game with his economy.

Man...lategame mass archon is fucking scary...I haven't seen that since Jaedong's lost against Kal? in Arena MSL last year. Jaedong lost 'cause of three mistakes that compounded: first, he did a weird fast lair opening that didn't do much. Normally you fit in one or two more hatcheries first. Second, he lost like half of his supply pointlessly at the top of stork's natural ramp. That was dumb. Third, he never held on to a fourth base for very long. Credit to him for holding out, though.

ultra/ling gets completely raped by mass archon+storm. Archon splash can damage 3-4 lings at once. Also, with +3 attack, archons one-hit-kill even +3 armor lings. Archons are toss's ultimate late-game weapon.

Dark Swarms reduce the damage that Archons do under them, and make Reavers not do splash damage under them. Since Stork's army had Archons and Reavers in it, the swarms reduced its attack strength significantly.

it already is like 10 times as popular as broodwar was... not in korea tho, but thats not the games fault
