This play was called interference on the batter and the batter was out. Looks a little like the catcher ran in front of the plate and threw at her helmet to possible get the call. You decide.
no she didn't hit the batter on purpose but the batter is interfering and the catcher was simply attempting to make the play. I have done the same thing years ago in softball but didnt even realise I was actually going to even touch the batter but I did she was out and the game continued
